That's not what she did at all. The boat ramp is the only non-dangerous way for her to leave the place to go back to the ocean, and that's what she was trying to do when Jafar (who got his nose messed up) sneaked up on her while she was going back into the sea post-copulation. The female went to this specific spot to mate with Worf (the bigger one, that we call the beach-master), and after staying a few days at his spot, when she was done and leaving via the boat ramp to go back to the ocean, Jafar jumped on her and tried to impregnate her by force, which could/would ruin Worf's effort to get her preggo. The lady seal went through all of this trouble to find a huge alpha that would give her strong pups, and mate with him a bunch of times in the course of several days, (which leaves the females exhausted because they don't eat at all during this time period, so leaving via a more dangerous spot could have left her wounded) so she rightfully expects the beach-master to knock the fuck out of any beta trying to force her to carry his weak seed when she's leaving the spot for good to go back to the ocean.

They wasted each other’s time getting into a fight, the girl still chose the battle-scarred one in the end. Even though the big one mopped the floor with him, and took a piece off the other one’s nose. Hope it heals, but something tells me it won’t.
She didn't choose him, if you look again you'll see that she was on her way out to sea but unfortunately for her, the loser was right there waiting for her. She was ambushed. She tried to run away but then got trapped going uphill against the rocks. He finally caught up to her and mated with her biting her when ever she tried to escape. There was sex and violence involved in that mating, she had no choice. She was raped. After the beach master came to her rescue she was finally able to go about her business at sea like she initially was trying to do. If you look again you'll see that she never chose him.
