    Ive cut and split some nasty stuff, but I’ve never seen anything like that before. It’s like smashing concrete!
    Probably the toughest we get here in the northeastern USA is the American Elm. I have bounced an 8 pound maul off of it. I have bounced an axe and come close to eating the poll of it! I have sunk a couple steel wedges into it. I have even stopped my hydraulic log splitter on some really bad logs a few times. But it burns nice in the wood stove though. And I have a lot of it.
    It’s great to see what woodsman are doing in other parts of the world. Nice work 👍👍

      Cheers mate. Yeah this wood is nowhere near the hardest in my area. We also have Grey Box Eucalypt which when seasoned makes this stuff look soft. Literally cant be chopped with an axe and the chainsaw has a hard time with it. Nice to hear about the timbers you have up there, I would love to travel in those parts at some point if I ever get the chance.

      Hahaha yeah mate its like chopping sandstone. Good firewood though :)
