    gorgeous truck, but $92k and still using incandescent bulbs for tail (and LP) lights is insane. way to go ford… Thanks for another great video.

      I agree. And the reflector headlamps?? Come on Ford! The lighting on a $90K+ truck should never be in question. I'm currently looking at my neighbor's 2022 F350 Lariat Ultimate with full-LED head and tail lamps. Insane!

    2023 is a better truck I think. In 2024 they cheaped out on a few things like a plain silver glove box cover on platinums and black steering air bag on king ranch and limited and black mirror caps instead of color match on lariat and regular king ranches. And no headrest speakers

    That 6.7 power stroke is a beast.

    Wow the king ranch comes with the cheaper style reflective headlights now. They used to come with the nicer projector LEDs.

    The reason they didn’t have the massaging seats in 2023 was because of the all too familiar supply chain issues. Same reason for the led taillights only coming on the upper end models.

    I had a 2020 King Ranch, traded it for 2024 High Country. I went to High Country due to price. My opinion is, the King Ranch I had, was a step above.

    • @agentcarder
      @agentcarder 8 месяцев назад +1

      Why did you trade then?

    • @johnpalmer6822
      @johnpalmer6822 8 месяцев назад +1

      @@agentcarder I went to 3/4 ton with the diesel. The ford was about $10k more. The seats in the Ford King Ranch beats the Chevy. As far as Diesels go my first was the Chevy 350. Then went to 2004 King Ranch with the 6.0. That after doing the bullet proofing and replacing the wiring harness in the truck it was a good truck. Traded for a 2014 Jeep JKU. Traded that for the 2020 King Ranch f150 3.5 ecoboost. That was a great truck. I pulled a 32’ fifth wheel with it also a 33.5’ travel trailer. But I was running 800#’s over on my rear axle. The truck pulled in the Appalachians fine. But decided that a heavier truck was probably better. I was given a better trade through GM than ford.

    I LOVE the interior of the King Ranch, always have. Something very warming about a truck with a brown interior. While I think the Ram Longhorn Limited still edges out this KR in terms of true opulence and interior quality, the KR is wanting for nothing inside.
    However, incandescent bulbs for tag lights and tail lamps, plus reflector LEDs just cheapens the exterior. It wasn't long ago when Ford gave Lariat Ultimates LED tails with projector LED headlamps for 2022. Sure, the H.O. 6.7 is a cool engine and all, and at $12K+ you're paying dearly for it. But I think Ford should consider addressing the lighting of the KR. Oh...and the wheels are hideous. But thankfully SDs dress up quite nicely with aftermarket wheels.

    The F350 Lariat ultimate with sport package and black package I bought a few days ago has all of the features as this truck except for the massaging seats plus I got the tough liner, rear locking diff, 4x4 off road, for 84k. I think this KR truck is overpriced. The seats are the main difference.

    If people are buying trucks at this price I would keep selling them too. But to me, trucks at this price are too expensive to be used as a truck any more. HD Work truck with level, and 35's is my favorite look for a pickup.

    • @SliderFury1
      @SliderFury1 8 месяцев назад +1

      Well, what happened was, everyone was buying mid-to-large size SUVs but then realized they could get similar features and driveability from a pickup truck, but more capability for the same amount of money (less for a while, actually).
      The manufacturers and dealers figured out that everyone figured that out and started charging stupid amounts of money for them.
      Now, people are realizing that most of us don't need or actually use all that capability and are slowly gravitating back towards smaller vehicles.

    I personally don’t like the mud flaps that you can get from factory but I do run rock tamers for my boat etc and those look good but if you don’t need em then I would just get a truck with the mud flaps from factory, even though I’m not a big fan it’s just not worth the extra money if it’s not necessary.

    I don't know if you know this or not but the King Ranch logo is actually a sign of The Sidewinder rattlesnake that is that is present at the actual King Ranch. I don't know if you've ever seen a actual sidewinder snake move across the ground. That is actually how they look when they move

    I love your review videos JB. Would you do a video on the ride height differences between the trim levels? I was surprised to see how much shorter the XL is vs higher trims. Also, what does a Tremor look like next to a non-tremor truck? Just an idea.

    I don’t think the KR deserves to be a trim level. This could be the Lariat with the KR package. I don’t care for the looks of mud flaps but I installed small ones and they keep lots of stuff from hitting our truck and fifth wheel.

      Your gonna be overweight in the rear axle rating if it’s single wheel don’t just focus on payload they are high now but if your close to max payload for sure you will be overweight in rear axle rating with pin weight and hitch

      @@vincew.6905 I bought a 23 tremor HO lariat sport ..when I took it to cat scale just the truck you will notice with a full tank of fuel 4 adults and a child the fifth wheel hitch installed if you add 3k pin weight you have only like 200 pounds available in that rear axle rating …. If by chance you add anything in the bed for travel tool box gear…you will quickly run through that rating with a 42 ft fifth wheel … I have a moment 381 which is 42ft pin weight on manual is 2800 but when you take it to scale it’s 3100… also I noticed the gvw on door are actually slightly off by a few hundred pounds when you take it to scale actually in your favor…..I would see if the dealer you purchase from can take the vehicle you actually are purchasing to near by cat scale before you make a mistake..it’s not the law …. I’d be worried about it’s that the front end gets light and you loose steering control when you bounce on bad roads..hence loosing control and the rest is history… go with a dually if your towing that trust me… I loveee single wheel 350 but once you have a few scares with your crew inside you will understand take my word for it either ways congrats and good luck with whatever you get awesome trucks

    What do you mean they upgrade the interior with more features the second year so people buy the new year? I have a 2023 king ranch 450 and it actually has more features than the 2024 because they took the speakers out of the head rest for 2024 as opposed to 2023. So what exactly are you talking about? I think you have it backwards. I’m sure you’re not talking about the massage seats? Those have been a feature since 2017. I’m Very confused about that comment that you made.
