@@trimtabtao129 Hi Fiona - I have a basic question: when you say , for example Rahu in house 12 or sign Pisces does that mean Rahu in the 12th house from Asc in that particular chart or 12th house Pisces in ALL charts? I sometimes get confused what the numerology of the house is referring to. Thanks 🙏🏽

I guess Rahu/Ketu in 4th/10th or Cancer/Capricorn matching with me more. I have Rahu Conjuct Mercury in my 2nd House(Placidus) and Ketu in 8th House.
Rahu in Gemini/Cancer(Sidereal/Tropical). I'm really missing my Rahu Maha Dasa. Unfortunately it will never come in my life again.
Good luck with on your own Hero Journey Somnath! Keep in mind that those 'catch phrases' for each axis were very oversimplified in order to fit them on the screen :) And remember that we are the tree producing the fruit that we can based on the soil, the conditions, the intrinsic dna of the seed etc. Nature is made up of all trees, just they way they are and when the timing comes for the seasons is beyond the control of the trees :) Best wishes, Fiona

But my biggest problem is that in some vedic charts my rahu\ketu is on 4\10 axis , and in other charts they are on a 3\9 axis.... and i can't decide whats more fitting. How do you suggest i approach this house difference issue ? Too many systems, really spins my head and discourages my astrology interest , although i feel as if the truth is right around the corner... Ow and also in the case of 4\10 the signs are exactly opposite Cap\Can , another spin to add =]
Hi Artyom, thanks for watching!! Yes, there certainly is a lot of complexity and uncertainty with Astrology and various systems and schools of thought etc. I'm new to all this, so take this from an Apprentice, not a Master :) but I think Astrology is here to give us hints in the right direction, not to give us fully formed directives of how we should live our life. In that context, I would take whatever you find helpful from 4/10, 3/9 and Libra Asc and don't worry about the rest! It's a bit like following an Ayurvedic diet when you are dual or mixed dosha - you eat everything from the 'favour' column of the doshas that relate to you and ignore the 'avoid' column of the doshas that relate to you. Let's not give our power to Astrology and expect it to tell us things, let's take what's helpful, contemplate what we don't understand with an open heart and with no expectation of 'solving' those dilemmas - just enjoy them! Life is complex, do we really think we ,as humans, have the ability to see life's whole plan? Until we do, just enjoy the non-understandable-ness of everything :D Hope that helps. Best wishes, Fiona

In the meantime, I did my best to explaine my approach to the Divisional charts in the comments I made (above?) to MOHANA. Based on that, I would say that our personal Hero Journey is enrichened by the the placement of Rahu and Ketu in our D1. The complexity and uniqueness of our Hero Journey is even further nuanced by the areas of life represented by the Divisional charts. What Rahu is showing as an area of learning for you in the D9, will flavour your Hero Journey Rahu position in the D1. We are all, in fact, very rich and nuanced beings - each journey is so unique. Let me know what you think. Do you think this could apply to the D9 as well? If so why / why not? I'd be fascinated to hear your answers. Best wishes, Fiona
thank you, very good structured, informative , i love it. still have a question:): if Rahu is in second house in Pisces, Ketu in 8th in Virgo, ---- Pisces is all about transcending, and second house is all about accumulating material things, this is wuite contradictional to me. what should this Hero do? (transcend needs or accumulate material things ? or both in same time? ), plus Capricorn ascendendant, and Moon, Sun, Saturn together with Ketu in 8 th House in Virgo. This is not me, i am just wondering, how is this going to work out for him, it seems difficult to do it right. thank you (or maybe he should transcend his need for living without responsibilities and free life and should accumulate material things and take on responsibilities.)
Hi dinoduku, yes, charts can be very rich with their 'contradictory' placements can't they! And what a perfect reflection of life this truly is, often our own Hero Journey is very nuanced with themes from several archetypes. In some ways, the main skill of an astrologer, is being able to hold all these indicators in their consciousness at once and work out how they will manifest - like listing all the ingredients of a recipe and imagining the flavour that will actually be produced on the tongue. It takes practice and feedback and that is why I am so happy this 4th year of the Asheville Vedic Astrology Program is a 'Practicum' with donation session that include feedback to Ryan from the Apprentice and the client. With practice under guidance we are gaining these skills! The sample chart you describe sounds really interesting, let me know what you learn through observing and reflecting on it. How should i interpret a leo in ketu. And leo house in rahu?

Hi Catherine C - I hear ya! Libra ascendant makes everything intermixed doesn't it!!?! Did you see the video's Ryan and I did on Libra Ascendant? - I don't know how Ryan felt at the end, but my brain was mush LOL! And Rahu and Ketu only make that intermixing even more obvious and noticeable.
So, what I would say, is that this IS the gift of a Libra ascendant - to always have equal and opposite blended indicators. And, while it is complicated, a Libra ascendant is the BEST person to be able to interpret that - because of the gift they have been given.
With Rahu and Ketu, Libra Ascendants will ALWAYS have the sign and the house equally opposite. So I say, view this as a strength! Research both ends of both dichotomies (5-11 and Leo-Aquarius) and get to know what resonates for you. Take the opportunity to explore that conundrum inside yourself and come up with your unique truth/insight. Then Rahu and Ketu become even more powerful teachers!
I don't think Astrology is trying to impose from the outside, some cookie-cutter spirituality that you can just pick off the shelf and apply. Rather it is giving hints and clues that you have to sniff out yourself and your answer will be unique to you. And why being a Libra ascendant is a gift is because it makes it completely clear that you can't 'pick off the shelf' - Libra Ascendant makes you tailor from the get go. Which prevents a person from blindly swallowing someone else's spiritual pill - a true gift indeed :D

My son is Libra ascendant with Rahu in 5th in Aquarius (11th sign) and Ketu in 11th in Leo (5th sign) (and he was born on a lunar eclipse so he has Moon/Rahu/Jupiter in 5th and Ketu/Sun in Leo), so that was a head scratcher for me. I just found out about your videos and they are amazing. I am a student of Ernst Wilhem's and just discovering Ryan's and your work. Would love to consult with you some day, it's always enriching especially when our own expertise and knowledge get mudded when it gets personal. Thanks again!
In a lot of cases a libra ascendant will try the sweet, the sour and balance the 2 flavours. This hopefully explains the libra ascendant conundrum.

Yes, you certainly have some rich mixing of indicators there - all the more to enjoy in contemplating and find your inner truth and own insights into the mysteries of Rahu and Ketu! All I can say is that they wouldn't be posited there unless you had the capacity to really benefit from their mystery, so I encourage you deeply contemplate how to sythesise those beautiful placements. Things explained simply and clearly. Although it gets complicated, when Rahu activates Moksha houses and Artha signs simultaneously. For example: Rahu in 8th house (virgo) for aquarius ascendent or complete contradiction - Rahu in 1st house (libra) for libra ascendant. Any way of assessing this?

Also there is one more question: If a person has Rahu in 1st and Ketu in 7th, but his Rising sign is in Libra, so this placement means Rahu in 7th, Ketu in 1st. So what direction to go towards for this person?
