CP's Kootenay Valley Railway Shortline - Morning Hotshot Train Rolls Through Nelson

Canadian Pacifc's KVR Hotshot train typically makes a couple runs per day between Trail and Cranbrook, BC while passing through Castlegar, Nelson and Creston along the way. This branch line is characterized by stunning scenery, all-EMD power and an eclectic mix of railcars that serve the various industries across the region. Here, the morning hotshot heads West along the Nelson sub with the iconic "Big Orange Bridge" over Kootenay Lake's West Arm seen in the distance. Taken July 19th, 2024 at around 7:10am
