I'll just admire Chanel/Hermes bags from afar 🤤 Putting my money away for retirement and for emergency savings are top priority. I'm not saying I'll never buy luxury purses, I just won't be buying at that pricepoint! Thanks for your insight and advise Hannah.... like you said, when time's up, we won't be taking these material things with us
Even though I can, I can’t justify spending over $10,000 for a bag when people out here are struggling for basic necessities. Chanel used to be a goal bag. Now it’s just a status thing. I will just admire it from afar.
I’ve noticed there is a sort of grace period where resale prices are stable for a little while following the brand’s price increase. But.. the reality is, future bags are often bought from the original owners at higher prices bc everyone becomes aware of the new retail prices and they want more for their bags - and then there’s a domino effect where resellers/consignors will raise their prices to account for the higher prices they paid, and so forth. It’s a chain reaction.
Thank you Chanel for your insane price increases. You've successfully quashed my desire to add more bags to my collection. Now I just enjoy my current bags while exploring up and coming brands.
IMO a price increase (if it happened) would have far less negative reactions in 2024. Primarily because those who would have been bothered have already moved on, and those still buying at the brand are not put off by price increases.
true,i still want a few pieces from Chanel like a black rectangular mini or a black rectangular top handle which is very hard to get in store and so if ever by chance i stumble any of those in boutique regardless of the price i will still get it.
it is alwys so easy to say for those who have completed their Chanel wishlist to say not to buy anymore, but there are still ladies who are still dreaming to own even just one Chanel.Even other brands their bags are ridiculously priced too.
@@graciegrapes2437 I do not have a classic flap from the brand. I have decided to let go totally until spending that level of $$$ is completely insignificant to me. At that point I may reconsider. At that point if the bag lasts under 5 years you can afford to replace it several times over and the pricing is a non-factor. Its just about what you like.
I’m so glad I got my Chanel bags years ago. I don’t think I’ll buy anymore. I’ll keep what I have as investment pieces and then sell them at some point. I love luxury but I’m not prepared to play extortionate prices when the quality of bags is not improving and besides, you can get some really nice bags without designer labels 💕
I thought they might be an investment but I’m having trouble even getting a quote close to what I paid for the jumbo classic and it’s in perfect condition! (I bought it 5 years ago). Any suggestions on where to sell? I tried real real and fashionphile - they low ball
At the height of lockdown in 2020 I purchased a Chanel Vintage WOC in black patent leather with 14k gold plated hardware from Vestiaire Collective in good condition for $800 to celebrate a work promotion…I love it and use it a lot. The spring of 2023 I purchased a Chanel Rectangular Mini in Red Patent leather with silver hardware in excellent condition with the white box & dust bag from Fashionphile for $3400 to celebrate my 52yr birthday…Fast Forward to last week I Purchased a Chanel XS Mini Coco Handle in Incognito Pale Yellow in excellent condition from Fashionphile for $4000 to celebrate a fantastic 2023 work year. I prefer to buy from the preloved market, especially Chanel bags…I have scored some really good deals on the preloved market…I have to say I have reached Chanel purse peace 👜❤️🙏🏾
I couldn’t wait to buy a new mini rectangular in boutiques so I got a cute pink one from Fashionphile last year. Sadly, it’s collecting dust in my closet because all the price increases make me feel uncomfortable wearing something so expensive in public 🤷🏻♀️🤦🏻♀️ so I will just stick to bags $2,500 or less.
This video brings up an important and timely topic in the luxury fashion world. The potential Chanel price increases you've discussed are significant and, if true, could impact many consumers' decisions. Your breakdown of the rumored figures helps put things into perspective. It's interesting to see the community divided into those who see Chanel as an aspirational, yet increasingly unattainable brand, and those who will continue to indulge regardless of cost. Your recommendations for trusted resellers are particularly valuable, offering alternatives for those seeking more reasonable pricing in the luxury market. It's refreshing to see an honest and open discussion about the realities of luxury consumption and its changing landscape.
If they're going to raise the prices, the quality should be perfect and it's not! I was in the boutique this past weekend and looked at some of the classic flaps, and there were pulled threads and the flaps were wonky....I'm done!
I’ve always loved well made things. Which is why I always gravitated towards Hermes or bespoke bags like Peter Nitz. I’ve always loved classic pieces that can wear forever and pass down. Having said that, I used to want a classic Chanel bag. Just one. But in the last year I have seen friends have horrible experiences at Chanel. Mostly from bags having defects and then Chanel staff being extremely rude and annoyed at having to help them. For these prices I would expect top notch quality and above and beyond customer service, and that is NOT happening. People need to stop buying from the boutique. But that’s not happening.
I was in a Chanel boutique yesterday and wanted a black bag and all they “had” was black classic and nothing else. NOTHING! Makes sense that they’ll have a lot after the price increase. I’ll spend a lot on bags but the Hermes game and Chanel price increases makes me fell icky.
I think if I were to buy a Chanel it would be a vintage bag. I got a Chanel Diana in 2020 and that's probably the only Chanel I'll have for awhile. Most of what I'd like to have is a good retirement built up along with some nice things here and there. Also for that price I'd rather go on a nice vacation.
I’ve never bought from the boutique I’ve always bought preloved. And right now I am at Chanel purse peace with what I have. So the increase doesn’t matter to me ❤
Absolutely no bag, in my opinion, is worth those prices. I would say the same about any of the luxury brands. I'm done playing that game and will find better use for my money.
When this video came out I didn't relate much until I went and checked out the 24p collection this past weekend. Either bags were not available (wanted the tweed 'kelly' but really done with the chasing game, texting every sales I know, paying premium to fashion buyers, buying without trying) or prices made me hesitate (close to $6k for mini size seasonal bags, that's really beyond my 'reasonable' range ). I have everything I want and treasure in the classic styles, in neutral and pop of colors. I do want something in tweed/denim/backpack (practicality aside) but I'll just wait for a good one to come along in the preloved market. I'm capping my Chanel purchase price at the $6k which was what I paid for a brand new large size reissue from the boutique not that many years ago😅, that's it.
Interesting video. Luckily a few years ago I switched my collection out at Fashionphile and now have mostly classic flaps. Just before watching this video though, spotted a fantastic deal on a coral patent leather medium classic flap. $4000 out the door with the current promotion Fashionphile is running! I agree with you, the deals are out there in more obscure colors, but still getting the quality of a Chanel bag for a fraction of the cost. The more obscure colors are actually more fun to wear!
Chanel with these price increases! 😵💫 My favorite fashion house but it’s getting tough out there! Thanks for shining the spotlight on your trusted sellers! Always love hearing your thoughts! 🫶🏼
I won’t buy a cf anymore because I have access to Hermes and I think their bags are better. That being said, I bought my cf at a time where people were already saying that they were getting way too expensive. They were saying to not do it, bla bla bla. Now buying the same bags would cost me 3 and 4 k more. So I’m glad I’ve done it. They won’t go down in price and as a bag lover, I really wanted them in my collection. So I’m in the camp that if you really want it and can afford it, just go for it!
If they improve their quality, bring back actual gold plated hardware on their flap bags and offer a lifetime warranty, I can accept these price increases. Lol
Chanel price for 2024 in USA. CLASSIC Price MINI $5460 MINI SQUARE. $5260 SMALL $11,240 M/L $11,850 JUMBO $12,750 MAXI $13,410 BOY BAG Price SMALL $6900 OLD MED. $7,400 NEW MED.$7,900
I don't own a Chanel bag and at this rate, I don't think I will! I've been looking at the boutiques for a few years, waiting for a seasonal chanel mini rectangular flap that I like but with the price increases and time it takes to check all the seasonals, I'm about ready to give up. I already know the Chanel classics are out of my price range but the Minis will not be worth it now. My preference has been veering towards Dior where I do feel the lambskin is good quality, they have a variety of colors in stock, and customer service has always been welcoming!
To your point on SAs twiddling their thumbs - every time in the last 12 months that I've been to the chanel in Bloomingdales on 59th, the SAs were all quite literally standing around, bored out of their minds! I've never seen a chanel SA work harder to make a sale. Not sure how chanel decides on price increases, but this just doesnt seem like a good move for them! I've been done with them for a while. I bought an investment property in 2023 instead. What will chanel look like in 30 years? Will 1 bag be 100k? Don't know, don't care - I'll have my building paid off by then though!
I found my holly grail vintage Chanel classic flap thank to one of your videos, I follow Elma, and she posted the most amazing medium classic flap, and she was super understanding and I'll only buy Chanel through her, I never bought directly from the Chanel store, their prices are insane and honestly the quality is simply not worth it. I much prefer the vintage Chanel, they stand the test of time and since you recommend Elma and Jazz I don't want to buy from any other reseller.
The only way to be a winner in this expensive game is to buy the company stock instead of the product. So be a shareholder instead of a consumer. Companies lately only care about maximizing profits for their shareholders instead of offering better quality, customer service, ethical decisions... So we might as well be on the "winning" side... Which is the side of the company instead of the consumer 🤷🏾♀️ That's my thought going into 2024. Although I think Chanel is still a private company, this would be valid for LVMH, Kering, Richemont etc I'll look out for myself and my retirement so i don't have to work for 30-40 years unless I want to. I only buy vintage bags anyway and I don't go over $500.
Indeed. That’s why I was invested in LVMH for years but eventually sold my shares when I realized I no longer support the direction the business is going in. Ive talked about adopting an investor mindset vs consumer mindset and how it has served me well. You make a good point.
These prices are laughable at this point! The fact that minis are going to cost about the same price I paid for my classic medium just a few years ago in 2017-2018 is mind-blowing. I just can't. I'm good with the Chanel bags that I have.
Thank you for always being transparent. I don't own Chanel and never will and at peace with that. I have been using on vacations and SLG from LV and even purchasing from YSL.
I'm just glad I got my classic pieces in larger sizes before rounds of crazy increases, and I'm at most getting mini sizes these days (with tax refund or preloved). b/c apparently I'm not chanel's target customers any more. Walked into a boutique store over the weekend and really liked the 225 size so black reissue, shocked that 1) it's at a steep 10900 price tag! 2) it's still available and I can bump into it, maybe 1) explains it. Well I'm not in the tax bracket to spend 5 digits on a bag, and not a Chanel quality for sure. Good luck Chanel, and farewell
I have always wanted one. However, if it's not in the cards, it's not. With prices going up, I don't have FOMO. Thank you for sharing your eye candy and insight.
A classic flap is top on my list, so I guess I’m in the camp of aspirational. I don’t own any bags yet. I only have a WOC so it’s the closest to a “Chanel bag” size in my collection. I was just talking to my husband about the price increases on Chanel! We were discussing how when we took our first trip to Paris 10 years ago, even then the price for small or medium was high for us. Over the last 10 years, the price of the handbag has doubled reflecting inflation. But since the pandemic, the rate and frequency of increases has gone up too fast! I don’t agree on these increases over these past few years. Since 2022, I’ve decided to purchase vintage for the quality and not through the boutiques. That’s if when we’re ready to purchase at these current day prices.
Remember back in the day when you could purchase a Chanel bag for $1000 ish & today, that is just the amount the price is increased. Ugh! I love a nice Chanel bag, but come on Chanel, stop being ridiculous!
Insightful video as always :). You being up really good, debatable conversation topics re: price increases at Chanel, and also touching on the vintage/resale market. I appreciate you making the point about asking friends or others about "how much did you pay for x bag?", and utilizing that, almost mistaking that as a reference point for what to hunt that bag down for on the resale market. Because thats not factoring in at all inflation, today's market, or even things like currency exchange, etc..we know that one dollar 10 years ago is not worth the same amount today. So its hard to compare apples to apples, when for example..someone purchased, say a second hand Chanel jumbo x number of years ago for $4000..but that isnt a good, or accurate benchmark figure to use in today's climate. On this end, I cant say anything is certain, but at this present moment, yeah im kind of over it and done, wrapping my head around Chanel "purse peace". Ofc there are still wishlist items i have (PS loving your small black Deauville tote, and been hunting one on preloved market!)..so yeah, if i find something pre-owned at a reasonable price, which is subjective ofc..then i may pull the trigger. But other than that, i am more than likely done buying full retail in boutique at these exorbitant prices. Its tough to be a Chanel fan!
The one thing I have noticed is that there are plenty of bags available whenever I do enter the boutique ..I am guessing not too many sales over the last two years
My issue is that I feel awkward, and sometimes unsafe, carrying my Classic. I tend to only carry it to places I know there are people who wouldn’t look twice. I have it with me today as I’m headed to Palm Beach. Such a bummer that I don’t feel it can be my everyday bag. I carry my Reissue way more due to it being more discreet.
I’m not opposed to getting a Chanel that I like from the preloved market. But getting a new one? No. Not with all videos that we can easily find sharing about new Chanel with wonky flap etc. I’m not gonna let these brands enslave me while laughing at my face with bad quality + unhinged price.
Would you have Chanel price increase dates of each previous years? Is there a video I could refer too with that information? Just trying to analyze when will there be another price increase in 2024 in U.S.
This is insane. I’ve lost all respect for Chanel. This is really shameful. Even for a “luxury” brand. Especially when we are all learning that price doesn’t equal luxury anymore….so many fab brands at a fraction of the Chanel price!! Here is an idea……if Chanel wants to increase prices they should donate the money to charity.
I stopped caring when they kept increasing their prices but their quality just keeps getting worse, even in their flagship store displays in-store, it’s quite absurd…
Funny story was literally just debating whether or not to sell my one Chanel bag but seeing how quickly these prices are rising I know I would never be able to afford it now compared to when I first bought it 🤷🏻♀️ I love the one I have and don’t think I have a need for any new Chanel bags (preloved pricing is still ok IMO for non-Classic bags so might still go that route if I find “the one”)
I used to long for a Chanel and told myself once I got into a successful position in my career that I would buy myself one. But with the insane price increases, the decrease in quality, and the Chanel party during Covid where they wore Asian masks in Paris during the height of anti-Asian sentiment totally turned me off to the brand. Swore off Gucci too for their blackface sweater a few years ago. I’ll spend my money on brands who aren’t blatantly racist.
Honestly I have lost good impression and admired of the brand while they do too many price increases. Beside the beauty of its historical of the brand, I don’t think the materials and customer service worth the current price tag or even after 2021 price increased.
Chanel been turned me off with all the increases. The elite class could care less about our feelings. This just makes me appreciate the collection I have thus far. Chanel jumbo flap will forever be my favorite size. I only regret passing up on bags years ago 😩
I haven't bought a handbag from the Chanel boutique since 2019/2020. I only own 1 bag from the boutique and I love my black mini and used it to death. I don't plan on buying anymore bags or items from the boutique. I don't need anymore slgs, shoes, or fashion jewelry. I have 2 Chanel slgs, 2 earrings, and 2 shoes. That is enough for me. I will still buy Chanel bags on the preloved market tho because I'm still looking to add 2 more Chanel bags into my collection and then I'm pretty much done with Chanel. By the end of this year, I'll have 8 bags from the fashion house which I plan on keeping forever.
I bought two reissues secondhand because if I decide to buy something I want to just go purchase it. My friend has been on multi-year waiting lists which I have no patience.
I have one Chanel bag, trendy medium which I love. Did want a classic flap in medium but will buy from the preloved market. Haven’t been in a Chanel retail store for a year! 😎🌺
Insanity! I’m so turned off by all these extreme price increases. It’s just over the top and wrong when you think about the good that can be done to help others that really need it with that amount of money instead of adding another crappy luxury handbag to the collection sitting on a closet shelf, barely being worn. 😖Done with them!
Purchased mines years ago. Still thought it was overpriced even at the time, roughly half the price of what it currently is. But would never buy new at this stage, it’s crazy. There could be justification if the quality was better and if the hardware was real gold like back in the day but not at point. Can’t justify it
What's the point of wearing a super expensive luxury bag IF you are not fit and don't have money in the bank? Truly wealthy people for sure will not give in to the tactics of the greedy capitalists. The usual victims are the middle or below averge income people who do not fear going into debt just to look rich. I think the best thing that makes a person beautiful is the right amount of self-confidence. You can achieve it by taking care of yourself - ensuring you are eating healthy, staying fit and managing your personal finances very well to give you inner peace.
I originally bought medium one 2 years ago and it turned out to be faulty. I went back and they said never happened before and they told me they have no medium size in stock so I had to wait. Then I asked if I have to pay the difference in case they increase the price and they said yes 😅 I was like ‘are you being serious ? ‘ I told them I bought before so either they change it or I just get a refund.. Then I was offered the small one which I think better for me, so I took it. guess what, a week after they had price increase and they have heaps of medium! I was so lucky I didn’t wait.. After that, I went just to spend my credit and told myself Im done.. no more
I can relate to this, unfortunately. I’ve shared my past experiences buying classic flaps before in older videos, but I bought one, it was defected, I went in for an exchange and they said they didn’t have any in stock so they issued a refund. I went back a few weeks later to buy another and wound up paying the newly increased price. Then went home and noticed another defect. I brought it back and got a refund and that’s what started my preloved/vintage journey!
last time I made purchase from Chanel was 22S, its almost 2 years go, im pretty content about my chanel collection so far,im only happy cuz I have couple chanel bags I want to sell, maybe I could sell it for good price without big loss. I might venture older mordens or vintage from now, but defently not buying new not at this price and quality
I have been reading inspirational books and there is one frase that reads how much does this company pays ME. How much does Chanel pays me? The answer is zero. Therefore, it is a liability, not an asset. The investment imagination is in the past, these chanel bags sell way under retail on the second market, and if you are lucky you may get close to what you paid for the minis. I have the means, but I won't be buying these type of stuff any more. In fact, I haven't for a while. I invest daily on the stockmarket and maximize my Roth account. I invest in experiences and traveling. Those are things no ody can take away from you.
With the question about the preloved jumbo, it would actually be nice if you could share what you think each of the classic styles is worth now, from mini rectangle / square all the way up to the jumbo. I’m currently searching for a preloved small/medium classic flap, and some of the prices really vary so it would be really helpful to know what’s supposed to be a reasonable price 😊😊 thank you!!
I don’t believe this rumor. I could be wrong but I feel like leaked increases are never really as bad as they were about a year and a half ago. Actually the jumbo I got on Feb 2022 has only had one price increase since… but there’s been 3-4 rumored increases since then tjat didn’t happen. I’m unsure but I don’t think it’ll actually be that much. I think other items at lower price points will be increased rather than the CF. They have been doing this the last year. Mini square went from 4200 to 4700 in 2023. Deauville large went from 3900 to 4900 as well
I’m happy with the Chanel I have now. I do think that the price increases are a bit much but if I want something I’ll get it. Off topic but what I haven’t liked about Chanel is the quality that varies across the board with their bags. That could be addressed
I want to spend money on things that bring me joy. I personally have a few chanels from the old days, I feel joy and excitement when I buy, but as soon as I get home its gone already. Now days i would rather spend the money on a long vacation or trip to somewhere i want to go. plus, i grab my longchamp and lv everyday anyways, my chanel just sitts in the closet for I dont even remember how long.
I bought 3 Chanel slgs last year (my first). I consider them handbags at the crazy prices they charge so I’m good-don’t need items that Chanel refers to as handbags in my collection and am spending that money on dermatology and the stock market instead 😂. I don’t know who they think can afford it when those of us in the top 10% find it appalling! Who is their target market is what I’m left wondering!
I love the aesthetics of Chanel but with its pricing today and it becoming a status bag, I am no longer inclined to get it. I get bags to wear and Chanel bags give me dopamine every time i wear it. Lol. But I am not for the status. I also have been fortunate to have a small collection of vintage and boutique bags. No more for me :)
I am not a Chanel classic flap girl, so while I think their prices are ridiculous, their continued price increases don’t bother me. I have two Chanel bags, but not classic flaps. I probably have all that I am going to have. Take the CC off and they look and feel like some other good leather bags.
Don’t throw your money away to Chanel or Hermes unless you are rich. I bought medium classic flap, two minis for $10k combined. I will never buy another Chanel or Hermes quota bags. They are increasing the prices because the rich are getting richer. A friend of mine recently got a deal on a Mansion for $5m, $2m below listed price because she’s able to pay mostly cash. Even she only buys seasonal Chanel these days.
Chanel is completely out of touch! I feel like when the Chanel bags increase, and the second hand market goes up too. Won’t be buying Chanel bags anymore!
Definitely not surprised. Even though it hasn’t been confirmed, we all know a price increase is going to happen sooner or later. I’m stopped buying Chanel 3 years ago even though I still love their stuff. I look at my caviar Jumbo and it’s definitely not worth it. For those who still dream of the bag - get it preloved. In the past 5 years, their quality has just been such a joke and super disappointing. I refuse to play the Chanel game and I don’t have the patience or the money to embark on an Hermes journey. So I just bought a Delvaux and I’m very happy 😊🎉
The chanel bags that sparked joy in me are either some of the vintage ones or special ones as opposed to the classic ones - but those sparks mostly happen when I spot one on someone else. 😂 Anyway, agree with others, could care less about the price increases at this point as they are becoming out of touch/reach - from both perspectives.
I almost got a WOC in 2020. I didn't get it. I thought about getting some pieces but I just can't. Also, seeing the issues with craftmanship now it just doesn't seem worth it to me.
The fact that some of these bags are more than what it would cost to fund a Roth IRA for the year…….. I have no intention of buying but WOW. Actual investment vs what consumerism tells us is an investment.
The new bags aren’t even made that well to where it justifies that kind of price. In my opinion and experience, vintage is the way to go. Not only is it slightly cheaper, it’s prettier and way better quality.
I still would love to own a CF one day but definitely will not be buying from the boutique 😢 vintage seems to be the way to go anyway. Other than that, I feel like I will continue to purchase other items besides those big ticketed items because I do love chanel. ☺️
Trust me, vintage is where it's at. The quality, the softness yet sturdines of lambskin, the 24k plated hardware and the gorgeous colours, I highly recommend 😍
Beautiful bags, love the heritage, and will always love from afar but I’ll never own one. Value is in the eye of the beholder, and this ain’t it for me
I couldn’t care less at this point 😊 Since I will not be buying anymore, price going up will do me good if I want to sell my collection at some point 😊
Yeahhhh I’m not buying any more Chanel from the boutique. If you’re gonna charge H prices, ya need H quality 🤷🏼♀️ Btw, I tagged you in a fun tag video going around, would love to see your picks! 😉🧡
Here is the thing... i don't like those old lady bags so i kind of don't care about the increase. My game is at parisa wang, Ateliers auguste, strathberry, mansur gavriel and la portegna this days. Now, in the luxury category i am a big fan of fendi, givenchy, ferragamo and celine. So, Chanel is kind of meah...
I am from Czech Republic, Europe. Could someone please tell me what you can buy for 11 000 dollars in the US? Can you buy a car? Can you open your own hairdresser salon? Because you can in here so I wonder that maybe it's not that much money in the US when people are willing to pay it for a bag.
I'll just admire Chanel/Hermes bags from afar 🤤 Putting my money away for retirement and for emergency savings are top priority. I'm not saying I'll never buy luxury purses, I just won't be buying at that pricepoint! Thanks for your insight and advise Hannah.... like you said, when time's up, we won't be taking these material things with us
Couldn’t agree more!
But sigh they’re still beautiful and useful. Keep it up on the pre owned market is my best advice not retail 😊
Absolutely agree with you
Honestly stopped caring about price increase because its like theyre completely out of touch
Even though I can, I can’t justify spending over $10,000 for a bag when people out here are struggling for basic necessities. Chanel used to be a goal bag. Now it’s just a status thing. I will just admire it from afar.
At this point in my life, I would only get a Chanel bag if it was vintage/pre-loved. Their prices vs quality just doesn't make sense to me.
The biggest thing I hate about increases, is resellers will price older bags the same or close to the current price. 🙄
The resale prices have remained stable since the end of 2021.
That’s what I like so my old bags are increasing in value.
Thank you Chanel for your insane price increases. You've successfully quashed my desire to add more bags to my collection. Now I just enjoy my current bags while exploring up and coming brands.
I plan on purchasing my last few bags from them pretty soon and that will be it for me!
Love your attitude. Enjoy what you already have.
IMO a price increase (if it happened) would have far less negative reactions in 2024. Primarily because those who would have been bothered have already moved on, and those still buying at the brand are not put off by price increases.
I agree
true,i still want a few pieces from Chanel like a black rectangular mini or a black rectangular top handle which is very hard to get in store and so if ever by chance i stumble any of those in boutique regardless of the price i will still get it.
it is alwys so easy to say for those who have completed their Chanel wishlist to say not to buy anymore, but there are still ladies who are still dreaming to own even just one Chanel.Even other brands their bags are ridiculously priced too.

Same. Ditto ! ❤
samee, super happy with my collection, glad my classics are an investment, so if I do sell, ill be getting more than I paid for.
@@ImenBen12 exactly! 😊
When you said that one day, these things will end up in a land fill I was like wow 😮 😂❤
Feel the same 😢 I just wanna use my bag, but nowadays everyone looks…
I am done with Chanel, but still love to watch price increase videos. What’s wrong with me 😅
Me too 😂 I get upset like im in the market to buy one. Just makes me appreciate my current handbag collection more.
😂
But I also feel like I made $ cuz I bought mine 15-20 years ago. lol
Also for that price I'd rather go on a nice vacation.
vintage is simply beautiful, from the quality to the 24k gold plated hardware!
Lol

Glad I got all my classic flaps and reissues in the colors I want. 😅
Omg thank you so much!!!! Such kind words 🥹❤️❤️❤️🙏🏻. Elma.
At this point you might as well buy a used birkin on the secondary market
So I think prelove classics are good deal but nothing from stores for me..
Same. Preloved is the way to go. I only bought and own 1 Chanel bag from the boutique.
Absolutely no need for FOMO. Love your attitude.
I couldn’t care any less at this point. I’m over it.
Chanel can keep their bags!!!!!
I got my medium flap vintage. No regrets! I think the vintage market is going to go crazy.
You summed it up perfectly with your last line! 😂
New bags at Chanel just aren't worth it IMO. Rather go pre-loved for bags no earlier than probably 2020, if at all.
I agree 100 percent
So done with Chanel’s price increases and their poor quality along with their horrible customer service.
Great video Hanna!! It is frustrating for sure at this rate 🙃💰
Thanks for the video. Very informative. I hope the increase comes after the 24P drop like it did last year. But no doubt it’s coming.
I have one Chanel bag, trendy medium which I love. Did want a classic flap in medium but will buy from the preloved market. Haven’t been in a Chanel retail store for a year! 😎🌺
Oh wow. What about seasonal bags or discontinued bags? Will those be increasing the same?
I'm over it - I'm going to the reseller market - not only is it good for the environment and cutting down waste, you'll get better pricing!
Would you consider selling the mini square or mini rectangular?
I’m still enjoying them, so not at this time, thank you.
Nope we don't care. Done with all the luxury stuffs
i have a few and I love them but won't add more - not just because of the price but because the quality isn't consistent and the styles are boring -
I bought 3 Chanel slgs last year (my first).
Hi Hannah, i can't help but to notice your beautiful bangle😍😍
I have 3 Chanel bags and I just think now they’ll be worth more ! I doubt I’ll buy more but I said that after my 2nd ! ❤
Chanel is completely out of touch! I feel like when the Chanel bags increase, and the second hand market goes up too. Won’t be buying Chanel bags anymore!
These price increases are appalling and ridiculous. I refuse to purchase anything from Chanel.
😂 Anyway, agree with others, could care less about the price increases at this point as they are becoming out of touch/reach - from both perspectives.
no problem they can increase all they want😅, because i have bought what my CF, just going to enjoy what i have now😂
I almost got a WOC in 2020.
Its time to buy pre-loved in prestine condition, You can save $$$ that way.!!
In these economic downtime, look up for luxury boutique closing down. Might sell out for 50%. I got tree bags half price like that.
I wanted one but now no longer feel comfortable to carry a 10k bag around by myself😂
I have noticed I get more stares when I wear my Chanel bags - and they’re often from shady looking men, so that’s not fun. You make a good point.
The increased price doesn't accurately reflect the value any longer. I will continue to look for value and price with no logo.
Stopped caring about Chanel two years ago cause they refused to sell me a WOC, and told me it’s for VIP only 🤮
Ugh… that’s super lame and would’ve turned me off as well.
Yeahhhh I’m not buying any more Chanel from the boutique. If you’re gonna charge H prices, ya need H quality 🤷🏼♀️ Btw, I tagged you in a fun tag video going around, would love to see your picks! 😉🧡
Chanel, Hermès, Rolex, VCA, etc.. They will increase price as long as there is demand.
I am done buying Chanel. The prices are beyond ridiculous!
