not many billet barras around so im super excited to see and hear this beast.. id love his old 1500hp e85 setup for my fg ute haha, id just need a extra fuel pump for my fuel set up andddddd a whole rear end built, then just turn it down to a safe 1250hp
@@Lifeat90 are you insane , people are tossing those things in the bin , in the US there are Barras in Jap cars ! And only a limited mechanical understanding would make such a remark , all the engines you mentioned have the exact same designs ! So your saying the Barra is less some how because it has the same design only a normal bigger 4.0 litres that is easier to make power , no substitute for cubic inches , it's more likely you don't like the fact Ford out did the rest ! And made it accessible to everyone , parts are easy to find and easy to work on , makes massive power with simple bolt on stuff you payed thousands for on your rice burner ! That's it isn't it ? The Barra has made more power than any of those small Jap engines of yesterday . Not many stock short blocks can make 1000 HP with no mods . Wake up

Almost a 2k barra 😉👌🤣 Nah she'd be around what 2100 flywheel hp 👌 Can't wait to see them cracks the 6s now. Any barras actually gone 6s yet? I know there was that pro mod mustang about 8yrs ago going I think it was 6.80s but unaware of street based cars doing it yet.
On the A9X they did it to get air into the carbs , the base of the windscreen is a high pressure area, and that's why the cabin air intake is generally there on a car. It probably pulls cooler air over the upper engine area now, forcing the heat under the car and out?
@@rob7385 I’m not an engine builder! Someone more qualified probably has a better answer than me haha. I think billet engines run big tolerances due to heat expansion and for a street car I have just seen a fair few rb’s pick up bearings if they ain’t treated correctly. Just a run in tune .... those fumes :)
How do you think a destroked Barra sounds compared to the other 6s?
@NeverEnds-m1v oh yea, fuck ur ls, barra the world
Pavarotti, but slim dusty stylings!
Meth is supposed to get in your head man lol
I still think rb & jz sound the best for 6s but a barra can sound alright
That screamer pipe sent the lcd screens through an 1800hp wormhole!
Sounds mental, full dunger at idle, but f*ck uber, get me a CAB!! 😆💪💸💸💸
Im a simple man, I read 6sec street car and have to click!
that thing is bloody crazy
And to think we were foaming over Harry from AVO in his VL running 11's in the 90's..
Butter my arse, this is magnificent.
DC is going to be nuts this year
It sounds like it’s got a hint of a rotary in it, reminds me of some of the cams people put in Holden 202’s that give a similar brap to them.
I take it this is no ordinary 2k Barra
This 1 must be the 2.5k

Wow cars are just getting crazy power these days. Nice work on the build..
Engine bay is so clean
Nice, but I do wonder how many Door Handle pulls it's got left in it...
loved it before, but now its off its head, best sounding i have heard
Great work guys and Frank at Dandy
Love this build amazing as always
You know it's loud when the dyno screens are having a party.

Most excellent awesome build
Have a go at that, the worlds most powerful barra turbo, what a moment
Nah think dynamite and empire racing have made over 2000hp
That Ol' Gal is rowdy as fuck!
imagine gettin into a taxi an the methanol is burning your senses
1500 hp, insane!
heard lot of good things about those engines
The standard of these cars is just amazing everyone is shooting at the moon and im here for it
That's insane dudes. Growing up in the 70's you were king if your big block made 500 hp
I have been waiting for this episode! FullBoost!
Awesome Awesome Awesome! Looking forward to seeing this on the strip
Top 3 I6 engine right there. Still kicking ass despite the age gap

Roller dymos have a limit where big power will eventually just spin tyres. Hubs are far better for accurate engine load.

$2k hp barra. Very cool.

Please tell me roughly wat that engine is worth now?? North of 150 grand??

What else can you say after seeing those numbers 👍👍..
How hard to get and swap barra engine in s550 mustang while been outside of Australia?
A lot of importers in the states bringing in the barra motor.
Very easy , a Barra will bolt anywhere a V8 was ,

What's the purpose of the bonnet reverse scoop
Probably to create low pressure area at rear of bonnet to promote airflow through the radiator and intercooler at front
@@danlovelock778 they got rid of the intercooler because it's running methanol.
Ok, well not intercooler then. But it's still (probably) to promote airflow. Just a guess, I didn't build it 😊

Not bad for a run in 🤣
It wouldnt come close to doing 7 seconds on the street. Scary car
Why not have intercooler
Methanol doesn't combust under low compression, no need for intercooling the intake charge with methanol

An EV isn't going to meet his goals.
Billet don’t = street! A lot of billet engines I have seen that get street driven never last long. Let’s see how the barra goes.
Why’s that? Genuine question, don’t they like long drives? Just hard pulls?

7.7 second 1/4 mile means it's an 8 second car, need to go between 7.499 and 6.500 to be a 7 second car.
Logically I agree but that’s not how it works. As silly as it sounds a 6.99 means 6 second car in drag world…
Haha!
@uptheau2875 I think you missed the joke, a Bench Torque vid bagging an fwit arguing 7.99 is closer to 8 sec so it must be an 8 sec car.
