TIPPER TRUCK CRASHES INTO VAN

- A Tipper Truck is waiting to pull out onto a main road but misses a large van approaching from the right,
crashing into the side of the van, shunting it sideways into the opposite side of the road.
Thankfully the van occupants and the Tipper driver were fine and got out to exchange details.

the side mirrors are huge on hgvs, there's a large side mirror and ontop of that a wide angle mirror about the size of a grapefruit.
This creates a blind spot but this is easily overcome by leaning forward to see past them. So basically it's a bad mirror check. Some hgv drivers will shout blind spot but it isn't , it's a bad mirror check
Dont people understand tipper drivers have right of way at all times

ahh the good old "not paying attention to surroundings" gaffe. I wonder what his excuse was?
I really don't know how this van wasn't seen by the driver......
As you - Danny - hold a Licence to drive the featured vehicle; I'm asking for your "take/view" here without criticism/prejudice my end. No disrespect whatsoever.
I know that people can definitely make a mistake and I have made one or two in the past.

Education is key. Largest motor I have ever driven is 7.5t but have been a drivers mate in HGV etc.
Yeh; visibility an issue but proper checks negate that.

I remember a film from the 50's - think it was called "H€ll drivers" or similar..... many laws broken - just glad that was just a movie.

It was on danny about 11.45 to 2.00 maybe before sure it was something called on the road dashcam can't remember but anyway it was comedy central xtra either the Saturday or Sunday I'm sure it was the Saturday
