The tire pressure light is a known issue. I took my xterra to the dealership for its check up, they "fixed" the light but said it may come back on. It did. I just be sure to check the tire pressure. Thanks for a great video!
yes there was a recall for earlier models but it's already expired. My fuel sending unit went out on my 05 xterra I had to buy a fuel sending unit on amazon. I cut through the bottom left rear seat and pulled the old one out and put the new one in took about 2 hours and welded with jbweld back the seam good as new.
My experience is if the check engine light is on the remote start want work, have to turn off check engine light first, thats how the factory remote starts are set up
Regarding the remote start - I researched the same thing for my 2010 xTerra. From the research I did, I found you need to install a bypass module to bypass the security system that recognizes the chip in the OEM key when it is inserted.
For remote start, there is a plug and play kit on amazon that uses the oem key fob. Thinking about picking up one myself for these cali hot summer days lol. And for those fog lights, their known for their poor quality... I was about to purchase it to install in my fog light holes but got talked out of it. Gunna try fitting those xprite jeep fog lights this coming week hopefully!
I have a 2009 my dad left me only 47000 going to give to my granddaughter the compressor only kicks on when fan is speed one or high what could be causing this? btw blows cold on high but a/c light goes out on other fan speeds..
My TPMS sensor went off ALL the time on my 08 Xterra last few years (no leaks ... pressure okay ... Sensors okay) and then few months back I saw a video from scotty kilmer channel that said if you don't use a Qualcomm labeled cellphone charger it may set off your TPMS and what do you know haven't had that light pop up since I stopped using cheap chargers 🤣
@@jayanderson6016 i forgot these things even have batteries. my son drives my 05 and we have never changed the batteries. we have one tire with a slow leak that trips the light occasionally so i know that one is working at least lol
Par for the course with TPMS, damp air inside the tire and constant temp changes dont bode well for the sensors. Yes like this most TPMS cars have one in the spare.
fuel tank needs to be dropped to fix the fuel sending unit. the problematic FSU gets hung up in the fuel tank and doesnt report a correct fuel level. the new FSU has been redesigned to fix that isssue.
If you’re not towing, or driving constantly in the mountains or 100 degree temps the stock external one by itself is perfectly fine, people have been doing it and writing about it on these for years. New rads with internal cooler can still fail, it’s just a lousy design. Yes, if you want to be extra safe and awesome, go to a bigger, stand alone, external cooler.
Good vid brother. Don't forget the diff vent tube replacements. They can corrode, plug up and blow seals. Easy fix and worth the .5 hour.
Yep did that on my runner
I have a 2001 Nissan Xterra, Where’s the transmission fluid stick? And talk about the fues box inside the truck? I really enjoy your video.

Havent had any problems since I did this, fingers crossed
Same here ,same issue.
For as long I’m checking my tires presión will be ok. 👍
Did you check the spare?

I have the exact same Silver lightning Xterra off road, but mines an 06.
I just subscribed!
Thanks for watching and subscribing!

This has the bypass module, it just all needs to be reprogrammed.

Can you link that remote start kit?
@@HawkeyeSkunkWorks Yes please to the link! We just got a 2014 Xterra and are in the market as well!
I'd like to know more about the transmission cooler problem and solution
Google it, theres TONS about it out there. You basically bypass the cooler inside the radiator.
youre an awesome son!
haha thanks, Id adequate at best!

Sounds like it might need some more Freon

Thats crazy
What if the tpm light is on
Check all 5 tires air pressure. If they’re ok then you have a bad sensor and you’ll need to take it to a shop.
great video, I have a 08 Xterra thats a 6 speed manual and I wanted to know where you got that switch for the blanks to control the lights. Thanks!
You can get them on Amazon and eBay. Thanks for watching!
Hawkeye Garage hows the CERAKOTE
Recall. I haven't fixed mine on my Pathfinder
What year is the xtera
2005
I fixed my Xterra’s Tpms warning light by removing the bulb👍
Nice lol I really try to avoid that at all costs, so far Ive been able to on all my cars.
I fixed mine by replacing the TPMS sensors in each wheel....batteries are supposed to last 5-7 years.
@@jayanderson6016 havent had any issues since I aired up and reset everything

fixed mine by putting a little piece of black electrical tape on the dash window so I can't see it, LOL
Nissan has a junky TPMS. The sensors corrode and hard to repair. Be aware that the spare has a sensor that can corrode, as well..

Yeah we know, been waiting for warmer weather and we'll drop the tank. Father day present maybe lol
I had to do this replacement. It was a bit of a pain, but surely doable, even for a complete shade tree like me.
I bought a BOSCH unit for around $180....still haven't mustered the motivation to install it!
Tire pressure monitors are one of the dumbest things ever!
Thats no joke
Bro just put a new radiator in . Bypassing isn’t good
