The gen 5 games will ALWAYS remain my favorite pokemon gen of all time.I mean come on We got volcarona scraffty keldeo zoroark among other epic pokemon.And the best feature of all time was in this game: The pokemon world tornument, you got to fight every previous champ/gym leader before gen 6.And plenty more epic things

In my opinion, I think the black and white games were some of the better ones. I liked the backstory and the legendaries were done well. Team Plasma was and still is my favorite team.

Hidden abilities, Regenerator and new pivot options in the form of u-turn/volt switch. Even debuted triple battles (which never became a trend for some reason) and even the prime method of shiny hunting, horde battles. Legit the only reason it wasn't well received was lack of proper advertising.
This girl make so good remixes, nintendo should hire you to make their battle tracks, I would love to have these as X&Y wifi battle tracks

The Unova Elite Four is one of my favourite Pokémon tracks of all time, and I couldn't help but gush when I saw this in my sub box. This track just sounds so good with a thumping bass running through it.

Black and White 2, I thought it was horrible. But after replaying it again. It's just amazing!
Gen V is Victory. The best. Even has the victory pokemon as the first pokemon in the Dex. The best secondary games period. The best story imo.

Pokemon White had my favorite dark type elite four, sidney almost got it right but I think Grimsly's bisharp too the cake.....and he probably ate it too...
I has trouble with his scrafty it was the only one that I couldn't kill but it did kill itself thanks to the help of rocky helmet, In HGSS Karen her Umbrion is hard to beat.

Yeah Grimsley is awesome... kinda sad that Gamefreak changed his ace, now it's Liepard. I prefer Bisharp since he's my favourite pokemon (and Grimsley is my favourite character, tied with N) and Liepard is Hugh's signature 'mon, not Grimsley's.

Everyone talks about Cynthia being the hardest opponent, but I didn't have such a hard time against her. Sure I came prepared, and did my research, but it was still a grueling battle. Beat her on my 2nd try. But THESE guys. Jesus Christ. Shauntal is hard if you don't come prepared. Caitlyn is tough anyway you face her. Grimsley is probably the easiest for me to beat but I always forget that Liepard has Limber. And Marshal kept spamming and hitting Stone Edge on my Unfezant. Fuck these guys.

Any of the champions and elite four are a cakewalk if you do your research and come prepared. If you don't, she is easily still the hardest. I didn't go prepared for white and roflstomped shauntal, caitlyn, and grimsley all with a zweilous using only crunch (okay fine, I used dragon rush or something on grimsley). Only Marshal provided any challenge, but I kept a shiny unfezant because it was one of the first pokemon I ran into and it was like *fate* so that was him.
Iris was a joke, the one from kalos isn't even notable enough for me to remember her name, and professor kukui only gave me any trouble because I forgot to buy supplies before going in.
Cynthia was harder in my opinion
I could never beat all of them. I would beat Grimsley and Shauntal easily, Caitlyn was a little harder and then came Marshal. He destroyed my team every time.

Always enjoyed this Elite Four over any others for some reason. Maybe it's the design of both the characters and the arena, alongside the music. Maybe because their overall personalities aren't as in-your-face as other Fours, thus they feel more real. Idk.
IDK about the show that came along with Gen5, but the games were an absolute masterpiece, both music and gameplay-wise.
Gen 5 was my first gen, I somehow got through all of the game with nothing but my starter since I didn’t think I needed anything else, you can only imagine my frustration when I got stuck and had to find more Pokémon and take the time to train them
I had no idea what type the e4 was when I first played, it was my first Pokémon game 😆. And I think I got wrecked by them at least 100 times. Don't get me started on ghetsis.

Followed immediately by, let's see...Elite Four (Gen 5), Ghetsis (from 2), Hugh, Team Plasma, Colress, Regi Trio, those one psychic trio from D/P/P (I can't remember their names), and then everything just piles on after that. *Note that this list is, as stated, pure opinion and only lists battle themes from the ones that I have heard. +Rummana Zaman Kalos was by far the most flawed in the series, but did have some good battle themes, as well as Zygarde and Lysandre. Those three things were what made me appreciate the game just a little.

The first game I played was W2. My dad got it for me and my brother. We loved the music. But playing X afterwards just made the music fell sour and kinda more empty. This game set the bar of music, and the difficulty of the champion and e4. Steamrolling through Moon and Alpha Sapphire just killed the feeling of accomplishing something.

Grimsley and Shauntal were the hardest for me. Caitlin was a breeze because five of my six Pokemon could hit her super-effective and I sent my Reuniclus on a Trick-Room aided rampage through Marshal's team.
I can totally see this in a remake of gen 5 if they make one.
