I just discovered and fell in love with Noah Kahan via Gregory Alan Isakov (another artist I'd love to hear Colm cover!) so it caught me by surprise, too.
I'm from NH, it's always nice to see New England artists get the recognition they deserve and especially Vermonters like Noah who tend to just fly under the radar
Mainah here, totally agree. Maine is obviously my favorite lol but it's awesome to see a local artist go big. Noah Kahan's uncle is my friend's podiatrist. Small world (state population).
First googoogirls, then someone you loved, now stick season. I see Colm has discovered the sad cathartic, heart wrenching part of music. Love it. When can we expect one last breath, by creed, please 😊😅😂? Love you colly. Keep em comming, sir.
He DID to a version of Higher that I love just as much as the og song, so One Last Breath would make me sob. That said, I second this Colm! One Last Breath!!
Never have I needed something so much and not known it until I had it. Instrumentation is clean and the vocals are on point - love it, brother bear! Have a good breakfast
Seconding this. I gotta say as excited as I was to see that Colm was covering a song by my favorite artist, I think I've just listened to the original too many times and I can't quite appreciate this version as much because of it. But I don't listen to dial drunk as much as Noah's other songs because it's not autobiographical, like a lot of his other songs. And because so many of his other songs are autobiographical (about things that he actually experienced), listening to dial drunk leaves a bad taste in my mouth because even though I know that Noah probably wouldn't really act like that, I find it difficult to separate the story in the song from my view of the artist. But I would be so thrilled to see a rendition of dial drunk by Colm, especially if it would breathe some vitality into a song that I'm not the biggest fan of, despite loving nearly every single song that Noah has written. Orange juice would be another really good one for him to cover.
Asking again for The Call from the credits of Prince Caspian with you and Rachel Hardy. And my sister said she wished you and Rachel Hardy would cover Done For from Epic.
I found this guy after listening to his cover of Kingdom Dance from Tangled, and i think I'm addicted. I absolutely adore violin and singing, and every song is like another feel good stab to the heart. i desperately want to learn more instruments and practice my vocals, and this is the most inspiration I've had in months. I'm a total fan after flipping through songs for the past ten minutes lol.
After an exhausting day at work, this is the most delightful pick me up I ever could have imagined! Flawless tone and wonderful emotional expression and beautiful instrumentals as always! And then the news that there's more original work coming up? Cherry on top.
Well done Colm. Yet another song that will be sure to be played over and over by so many. Watching you perform is truly a priviledge. :) Be well, and stay safe please, from America.
@@Olivia_hi It was a great show; he's very down-to-earth. James Bay and Mt. Joy opened for him, and then he had surprise guest appearances from Gracie Abrams and the Lumineers. (Not gonna lie, I'm super jealous of all the West Coast folks who can go see Colm in concert later this year.)
I realized I listen to you WAY too much when I tried to show this song to a family member and they could not understand the majority of the words XD This seems like a good problem for me to have. Stay very handsome.
Colm, just about anything you touch turns to gold, and this is no exception! If you are looking to branch out into different genres and challenge yourself, I'd love to hear you cover "Ugly Day" by Five Iron Frenzy, or "Best I Ever Had" by Gary Allen.
It's me Kayla's daughter I'm the one that is always commenting, I love your videos and I think you do a terrific job keep up the good work ❤❤❤❤❤❤ love your videos thank you for all that you do please I know you won't give up, but I am going to remind you not to give up though❤❤❤❤
The song just felt a little high at points and I paused to say something, but then hit play again for a second chance. Definitely liked it more after the pause, and I’ll get used to it. Love this song and love Colm, so I know it’ll pop up in play lists and I look forward to it. I’d just still say that one of my favorite parts of this song is its mellow nature and the higher notes that Colm hits feel a bit out of place?
I kinda get what you're saying. Also some of the pacing feels off to me but it probably doesn't help that I listen to the original on repeat daily. I think if I wasn't such an avid listener of the song, I would appreciate the cover more.
Well, I was trying to listen to feed the machine clicking the first video, but I suppose this isn't bad either. Also, "if I proclaim myself second below the heavens no one can claim to be first."
New original song coming soon!
What other artists would you like to see me cover?
Alan Doyle, I think your Voice would really lend Itself to his music!
Why Don't We Build a Wall from Hadestown!!
Alan Doyle/Great Big Sea or The Amazing Devil (Jaskier from the Witcher is the male vocalist!)
I would for you to cover Time in a bottle by Jim corce
I’d like to request a cover of’The Downeaster Alexa’ by Billy Joel
I love how genuinely happy he looks when he is singing
As a Vermonter it's super weird to hear someone playing a cover of a local artist. I really enjoyed your version of the song.
I'm in NH so I feel similar

VT person here, same feeling for sure

I love these songs but we all do
But WHY DO ALL THE SAD RELATIONSHIP BANGERS HAVE TO COME RIGHT AS I GET A RELATIONSHIP
PLEASE do Dial Drunk! I can imagine your grit coming into the lyrics in such a powerful way. Love it Colm!

This is so well-timed; I just saw Noah Kahan perform at Fenway Park a couple weeks ago! Thank you for doing our home boy justice, Colm.
That sounds awesome! How was it?

Hi, just wondering, will you ever go back to doing disney songs covers? I loved those!
Dang, I didn't expect to see this cover. Turned out very nice.
Also, am I mistaken, or is that a Miraculous Medal I see?

CAN YOU DO "SONG OF THE SEA?" You could put a really creative spin on it that would be absolutely amazing!
Raglon Road
I wander haw your interpretation of Helvegen would sound like.
Could we get a dirt man cover?
Yes please
Your voice is perfect for Piano Man, by Billy Joel.

i like the love you put in the song, but you loose a lot of your fantasy/pirate/historc style singing
