@@pheenmachine tbf that’d imply they imagined someone able to have the setup to kill hades without even playing. They did an amazing job with the dialogue, but they’re only human and scores of individual players are bound to think up unique situations they never considered.

@@Zackapo Well, breaking down the possibilities, they probably went for darkness (increase max HP with gem expansion and mirror), and there are several others - Dio nectar, I'm guessing they might have gotten Demeter early to affect all HP gains, and I think there's an Aphrodite boon that works similarly... Not to mention the dog collar, a hell of a lot of luck with Centaur hearts (so probably a Thanatos encounter), and other factors. But this is all just guesses. I'm not the one who did this run, after all

Just use Aspect of Rama for the bow. And if you come across a hammer, prioritize Explosive Shot, Twin Shot, Point Blank Shot. Explosive Shot with Twin Shot or the one with the triple shot whose name I forgot is broken as well. You will still do really good even if you don’t get any of those tho. I did 8 heat and 16 heat on my first attempt with the damn broken bow lol, didn’t try 32 yet. You prob are much further than me by now but just commenting this for whoever reads this

I really thought the point of this was going to be to show some special dialogue that happens while he beats you. Didn't even consider that AFK Zagreus was going to hold his own haha.
I thought this was gonna be like secret dialogue where Hades stops wailing on you to be like “seriously? All this just to give up?” But no, just over-buffed Zagreus pulling a Luigi, and winning by doing absolutely nothing.

You gotta plan your run. Aim for athena's holy shield with a core boon from ares and zeus to get vengeful mood. Try to get as much health and other vengeance boons and you're golden.

This game's difficulty is weird: my first 25 or so attempts struggled, usually failed, to reach the hydra, but then something clicked and i was able to easily steamroll everything up to Hades, usually killing him. No major upgrades between the two, i just got gud. Wish the same to you. Also, the shield is broken and allows you to absolutely cheese the boss
They must have done this so many times to try and get this to work with just that alone. Or maybe Hades doesn’t do it when you’re close to him and just goes for mele.
I dunno, with high enough levels of deflection and revenge damage, you might be able to withstand a round of laser fire. I know in my one run I chopped about half of Mad Dad's health bar off via just eating laser fire.

Which ones are you picking? I play on 9 heat cuz I'm tryna speedrun. some of them are really easier overall despite being a "challenge."

Nobody does this. I beat him with just 150 hp several times. Try to build your damage up.
