I like to drill a hole opposite of the air screw to gain access to the pilot jet. Then just tap the hole and put a screw in the hole for future cleaning. Makes the job really easy and isn't hard to do.
Hello good sir wonderful video! I was wondering; The long pin that has that weird shaped clip on it. What knotch do you put that clip on or does it even matter?
That's your throttle needle. And yes the position of that clip matters. It controls how rich or how lean your bike will run at about 1/4 throttle to 3/4 throttle. Start off with Putting that little clip in the middle position on the needle notches. There should be 5, put it in the middle and see how your bike runs. If the bike is running to rich your going to want to raise the clip a notch UP to the 1 or 2 position. If it's running to lean your going to want to move the clip DOWN on the notch to the 4 and 5 position. Every motorcycle is a little different especially these old triumphs. But the middle clip position should be ok plus or minus a position of 1 from the middle. I hope this helps if it sounds confusing I can break it down a little more for you. Thanks for the support 👍🏻.

Interesting , cool technique , with the picture glass
epic carburetor video 👍
Great video, man. Do you use the o ring supplied with the rebuild kit for flange mount? Or paper gasket? Appreciate it.
Thanks 👍🏼. And I have used both on different carbs. But the o-ring should be fine. If not the paper gasket should seal it for sure.

The valve lapping compound could improve a tight slide.
You can use High grit sandpaper. But the valve lapping compound has worked for me. Whatever floats your boat.
Is that glass or Perspex?
Glass from a picture frame.
