Gold Leaf on Glass M & Hand Painted Lettering | Letter Series

Here's a little gold leaf on glass to create a cool Boston gilded effect. This was my first time trying this painting technique and I feel like I learned a ton! I hand painted the outline of the letter on the glass, followed with some gilding size to create the convex effect. Once that was all dry I water gilded and applied the gold leaf on the glass and backed it up with some black.
Again, this was my first go at this, I know it's not perfect but I'm so pumped with this letter series and how much I'm learning from it!

Thanks! I actually learned it from a class taught by Paul Myerscough from Bespoke Signs. As a beginner, it was much easier to learn than the mop brush I think!

So I painted on LA Gold Leaf Quick Dry Size. Once that was dry, I just water gilded over top of it with gilders gelatin size and water :)

Wow, what the Fantastic work, what material is used to give the doff effect to the gold leaf, does it use glue?

Yeah, you'll see that clear layer that I painted on first is the quick dry size. Throwing that on first gives the gold a matte look that contrast nicely with the mirror finish :) Thanks for watching!
