So you both talk about cross court dinking then dinking middle to go back neutral. When would you dink the down the line then other than to change up the pattern?? Thanks!
When I know I can’t get ernied. lol. Dinking down the line is fine but risky
Excellent job guys. Question for Jordan...I notice on your wide dink backhands you are first sticking your paddle out as if you are gonna take it in the air...then pulling back for the bounce. Never noticed you doing this before. Is it to freeze your opponent momentarily while you let it bounce OR just something you're doing to always be in the right spot to take it as a volley?
Yes, this is to try to take any balls out of the air first.
Should your defensive middle dink be placed in the pressurized zone (within a foot of the NVZ line) or more in the center of the kitchen (dead dink)?
It depends, if you have good accuracy, the pressure zone is great. If you need time, aim shorter so that you can get the ball to bounce

I find dinking to the middle is the biggest risk and quite often get attacked and lose the point. Cross court seems safest as it's hard to attack, and I don’t think I've ever a cross court be ernied.
It’s the smartest and most high IQ shot when you are out of position/or you need to get back to neutral. If you can’t dink middle efficiently, then you need to practice it.
Point taken middle dinks are useful but you focused on the clip that was 1-0 of game 1. These guys were still in warm up. feel out period of the match. THAT'S why they were drinking middle here
