It's not a difficult job as such. The complexity is in keeping everything safe, workers safe, its dangerous and precarious to say the least and ultimately the governing factors are time and money.
Removing all of the cargo from the ship whilst its not in port would take ages and it appears to me the cargo ship is resting on the bottom of the river bed, the cargo on board will hopefully keep it there with the weight etc. Basically we live in a time of 'overkill', health and safety is necessary but as any construction worker will tell you, its excessive.
If this had happened 75 years ago, around the time of the 2nd world war perhaps, it would have been cleared , done and dusted in a few days.

They are lying! Nobody is breaking down the debris! Look at all the live streams of the disaster area and you will see absolutely no workers anywhere on the wreckage. All the cranes are motionless and none are loaded. This so-called "24/7" effort and "national priority" is a total bluff!. The wreckage is spread out over a large area so multiple teams could be working in parallel breaking down the wreckage and moving it away. But in actual fact there are zero teams at work. All "live coverage" shows the same two clips of two men with cutting torches, footage from previous days. Could this be why drones are forbidden from the whole area? The USA's massive army's engineering corps is meant to be deployed. It could just as well be the Vatican's army. There is not a single soul visibly working on dismantling the wreckage.

You are not the only one to mention this. I am surprised they don't have a live cam set up like with I95 fire and deck replacement. What are they hiding?

@@fgerv My planet of origin is Earth. I have working eyes and comment on what I see rather than just repeating what the media keeps repeating. There is nearly half a mile of length of fallen bridge span, and along that length, no work was observed from for the 9 day period from 3/29 to 4/7. During that period, almost all of the cranes stood still and were unloaded.
