Just because a class is placed low on this tier list doesn't mean it's not worth using. A lot of classes are worth using simply to inherit some of their skills.
Night Queen is probably the highest damage job in the game , crits constantly even without the ultimate weapon that gives a max buff to crit chance. put any of the ladies on that job and theyre immediately your hardest or second hardest hitting party member. Vital vibration does huge damage is a lightning skill and carries a good chance to debuff defense, spinning queen's aoe range is slightly larger than the aura implies too. Donno what you're on about calliing it bad its even stronger than it was in the last game. The only debuff it got is that summersault kick is now single target instead of a aoe and doesn't seem to proc charm nearly as much as it did in 7. It was damn near the female equivalent to head trauma with the added effect of a chance to skip the enemies turns. But the buffs to all the other moves more than make up for that nerf.

Titles says definitive tier list but doesn't go over two jobs because of preorder dlc. Doesn't test out and build for certain classes like Barmaid because of the weapon. However Saeko's exclusive body lowers the cost of mp skills meaning you get damage bonus with no negative effects. The skills you take from other jobs makes a huge difference for the class. You paid for the DLC so its not like your speaking with your wallet since your going to do New Game Plus
He also fully admits to not testing out some classes that much like night queen. This isn't so much a "definitive" as it is "these are the classes I use that I like."
definitely just the "these are the ones i like" list. Shoulda smelled something was up when he said breaker was bad. i don't think its as good as it was in the last one but its still pretty good esp for characters with lower base agility like adachi. The increase in turn speed is worth it alone since adachi deals good damage no matter what class he's in
yeah i guarantee this guy hasn't really tried barmaid with ult weapon. it's so easy to set up saeko for high phys damage. that jewel breaker does insane damage
Chef has the same weapon bonus with having better crit and the ability to be on males who are the only ones that can summon. Most of the time if you are in the late game you should be using substitute jujitsu as a lady character
Funny thing. They are strong. And for preorder not even P2W. Arguement about them being useless because P2W is irrelevant. In 3 Months they could literally throw out another DLC with more jobs or overhaul some jobs. If we go Sujimon and say White Tiger is broken and unfair because P2W ok.
Which is funny because I thought Heiress and Devil Rocker from the last game to be mid at best, the best you got out of the former was a gun attack, but wasn't much more than that and devil rocker...I honestly did not like the playstyle of. I love Dark Knight/Berserker type classes but Devil Rocker didn't do it right at all. @@Capu94
@@kemix1006 I'm assuming you're talking about matriarch? That class is very strong, it's what I defaulted Saeko to since I believe in the philosophy of damage over healing. But yeah devil rocker was very underwhelming only thing it was good for were the stat buffs.
Quick tip for anyone going into ng+ for some reason when you first pick up the bat and become the hero job the game gives you the basic level one bat and there's a fight right as you change giving you no chance to change it and therefore you do no damage. I figured out though that the stuff you can throw at enemies like basketballs, grenades and what not still do big damage so using those will help you get through that first fight.
I did know the first half but I forgot about damaging items. Good tip. Also adachi has arrest which can instantly remove am enemy from combat which seems to work well also.
First of all. Thats sadly not even true. The game gives you the even worse *no weapon* aka Novice thing. You cant have 2 or 3 Legendary Heroes Bats with different brands. Sadly Atleast not to my knowledge. You should be able to get the other ones for free again tho (you can buy them aswell) And do Baseballs really do damage in Legend? Thought that 300 is nothing.
I played Freelancer and really enjoyed it! The problem with it is that it has no weapon effects and reliance on skill inheritance (and Asakura questline) to be something good.
There are too many jobs. I just platinum'd this beast of a game using only Hero, Idol, Samurai, Action Star, Night Queen, Host, Kunoichi, Desperado, Assassin and Dragon of Dojima. I did inherit some skills from Pyrodancer as well as all the skills from the default jobs, but other than that, I haven't touched the other jobs, and I've certainly not tried to level up everything for everyone. Granted, it doesn't take nearly as long to do so compared with LAD7, but it's still a chore to do. Especially since you don't know if you'll like certain skills until after you've already gone through the grind. Not to mention that you don't need most of these skills. Just get 7-star weapons and gear for everyone, and you're golden...
I payed a lot of money for this game so I'm happy to have the possibilities. Besides that if I grind the levels I get a lot of buffs that you need for new game plus. I don't get it. nobody is forcing you to use all jobs. Only because you're using only few classes doesn't mean everyone is doing this that way. The thing is it's not about getting every class to 100 but to give us more possibilities to test things out and try other classes, experience a different way of the game and to give all players the right jobs for them.

However, I agree with you that it's not necessary to try and do everything the game has to offer. Except.....the game certainly wants you to do just that. And the problem I have with this is that, not only do you not know which skills and abilities you want before you try them, but it also takes a considerable amount of time to level up each job to the point where you can find that out. And once you do, it's very likely that you'll have wasted MANY hours on something that is completely useless. There's also the feeling that, having spent "all this money" on a game, that you want your money's worth. And you don't really get that unless you try everything. At least I feel that way. Whatever. I've long since platinum'd this game and finished New Game +. It wasn't as good as the first one, but I enjoyed it.
Aquanaut 7 star suit allow you to ignore enemies resistances it's like the 7 star sword of Gangster job from Zhao it's very good. Like Zhao sword is by far the number 2 weapon of all ulimate weapon by far just cause it doesn't care about any resistances and of course Number 1 is Ichiban true hero bat, and for a number 3 probably Action star 7 star weapon cause who care about receving damage when Essence of Improvisation can litteraly full heal you and kills enemies in a big area,and damages overall are pretty hight especify if you +50 it with like great boost of blunt damages ect , youll kill them in a blink without thinking of the glass canon effect.
Haven't gone too deep into aquanaut with the 7 star suit but I felt like it really fell off late game. The big fish move literally never stuns either. Been playing the game since release day and I swear I just proc'd a stun off that attack for the first time yesterday

Out of the 12 exclusive jobs, I would say that at least 8 of them are viable of keeping, even if there are better jobs for some of them. IMO. Those are: - Hero - Dragon Of Dojima - Cabbie - Heiress - Homeless Guy - Assassin - Gangster - Hitman Freelancer is extremely powerful, damage-wise, but it is slow and it can miss quite a lot. Plus, no AOE. I suggest to just inherit the Release German Suplex and move on. Sujimancer is only meant for early-game and mid-game. Late-game, especially against the final boss, reduced its overall effectiveness in my eyes. Still, its abilities are underwhelming, even with Kiwami Sujimon, especially the AOE ones with only lines. Sure, it does have some of the best Essences, but the fact that it cannot be inherited is an absolute bummer, making me want to use this job less. I doubt that they would actually allow it, otherwise it might swing the other direction in terms of balance. Detective and Barmaid have the same problem of being overshadowed by generic jobs. The other 8 jobs have justifiable reasons to run as the main job. However, these 2 jobs have abilities that are inferior to the generic jobs. Sure, there are skills like Arrest, but you might as well inherit it to a Linebacker Adachi, since it is superior to Detective in every other way. As for Barmaid, I only inherited her Essence Of Magnum Bottle just to have something from her real job, but I won't be shocked if anyone runs Saeko with none of the Barmaid abilities.
@@Temperance_XVII Chitose’s exclusive armor gives MP when she receives a buff. This is a huge deal and basically makes the job have endless buffs and heals.
All my girl party member at least have Kunoichi Substitution Jutsu (broken turn skipping tool) and Tennis Ace Court Maintenance (remove all buff from enemy, broken af)
I’ve used sujimancer before and even with the strongest sujimons, its damage just fall off short at later levels even some of the support jobs do the same amount or even better damage and heals without their ultimate weapons. the job is very lackluster for what it is
In LAD there was absolutly jobs you would NEVER touch that felt like a total waste of time like BarMaid & Freelancer but in IW the new improvements to the job system make every single job viable and worth using and upgrading.
Great video ! Wild sweep is really great too, and honestly I really like the night queen the charm and heavier attacks are great for people who have more of a physical play style! They made using knockback attacks really fun to use
Interesting that you put Sujimancer in S Tier. From what I have seen the general opinion seems to be that the job kinda sucks. I don't know if most of these are maybe early game impressions. Personally I love the job, mainly because it actually summons your sujimon but also it's nice to have all elements I guess. BUT I hate that the aoe skills all fire just in a line. If it comes back in yak 9 they seriously need to fix that.
Sujimancer seems to scale slower than other classes in the early game (due to no weapon). I noticed that around class level 30+ its base stat start scaling like crazy. End up dealing pretty good elemental damage in the late game.
off topic:the sujimon sidestory was the most boring thing ive ever played in a yakuza game , hope they bring dondoko n this sujimon bullshit never again
It gets really strong around job rank 50 from my experience. The first 30 levels have abysmal scaling and it felt super weak, but it definitely picked up in the higher ranks.
Honestly I actually like night queen a lot, it can do so much damage and having the ability to charm on the aoe is so good as well! I think it’s a bit underrated.
agreed I feel like I've gotten crazy mileage out of heel stomp. feels like I'm hitting sweet chin music on bosses melting that health bar lmfao. spinning queen and the electric status abilities are great too.
Honestly one thing that kinda annoys me is that there isnt any True Final Millennium Tower or anything like that in IW, the big swell is as close as we get and i found it ridiculously easy. Really unfortunate theres no endgame dungeon
Housekeeper + Host + Aquanaut with 7star gear carried my ass from the final chapter all throughout post game. Never got Host last weapon. Once I got the fire bottle that can buff magic, I never went for another bottle.
Action Star and pyrodancer may not be great but the buffs they give are absolutely worth grinding for, same thing for host since I was able to do up to 8000 damage with one skill with said buffs, tennis is really solid especially since they have many piercing skills. Linebacker yeah that one sucks ass
Why did you rank jobs you never played. I get not including them because you don’t agree with the pay scheme but how can you compare them with other jobs if you didn’t use them? Why not just leave them out?
I equipped them on some characters who were in my reserves. I was considering using them and making content on them but decided not to. I didn't compare them to other jobs I did leave them out. This tier list had them on there so I put them at the bottom which did not mean bad it was just didn't use.
I'm beaten ng+ with all jobs at level 99, all weapons maxed at +50. The list isn't bad, but in my opinion it's not entirely accurate. Good job overall though for sure.
@chasemay1786 you'll never get to 99/99 in the base game. The after game dungeon in the base game will only give a non bar moving amount of xp at level 86. In the NG+ you can hit it in the dungeons that open up prior to the end of the game in NG+. It takes roughly 1 run through those dungeons on the last stage from floor 1 through 10. You may need to go back and finish 1 to 2 floors but that should top you off to 99 on the job. Getting to 99 on the character takes longer but in NG+ you'll be 99 just playing it. Time wise, you'll literally collect enough metal to get all main weapons to level 50 with 150 lustrous steel. That's how long. Best advice I can give is you just enjoy it till the after dungeon and do it in NG+. For context, you get an achievement for leveling at level 70 or 75. That's because the games not designed to hit 99/99 in the normal game. To be honest I know it possible, but it would take 100's of hours. Again, it's not designed XP wise to level you in the normal game. I advanced NG+ at level 86 when I noticed I couldn't level off level 86 in the after game dungeon in 4 hours or so. I may have made half a level?? In NG+ I started to level immediately at a very noticeable rate. Sorry if this is long, I just wanted to explain it all if you plan to hit level 99/99 in the base game. You could do it, but due to design it would take a highly unreasonable amount of time. 100's of hour, maybe 300 to 400 due to the xp creep. NG+ you can do it in the dungeons with a 1 hour run per job depending on how fast you clear the last dungeon stage from floor 1 to 10 and if you use the job xp modifiers, which I did. Takes you from 1.0 xp to 1.4xp in NG+ since the NG+ dungeon mobs on the last stage are level 93 and over.
freelancer by itself is kinda bad, but skills like Ruffian's Kick and Atomic Drop deal insane damage. if you want some damage on ichi, level it up till you get them. And if you want to challenge yourself, inherit Essence of Roadside Weapon cause it's fucking hilarious
Amazing item early and mid game. Late game its probably still pretty good but the combat tends to last less than 3 turn cycles so I tend to prefer to 20 agility at the suoer end game at least
I honestly thought it was kinda disappointing. The story felt like one of the messier ones in the series, as well as being far too crowded and overall unemotional. I think they really front loaded all the emotional stuff, as well as the earlier Kiryu chapters. Immensely fun in regards to everything else though, the mini games were top tier imo. Substories also kicked ass this time around
I'm late to the party but started prime adventure and prepare for ng+. I'm so happy that we have so many jobs to choose. It hurts that they take out the one job that was so good for adachi from last game and fortuner that was very good and the female dlc job from yakuza 7. IMO the breaker is useless and they should have take it out but that just my opinion. The sujimancer is pretty cool but only if sujimons are maxed out and a weapon would be so cool. Besides that I love all of the classes and will definitely max all of them out.
PSA for console players without a peer-review service (Steam): *Do not buy the upgraded editions.* Content is lackluster at best, currencies aren't hard to gain unless you have like... half an hr a day to game, and... because Sega thinks its okay to lock NG+ behind it. That's a $20USD DLC alone if you're not wanting the other junk.
What covers debuffs in the game? Are damaging/restrictive ailments also considered debuffs? There’s a purple seal (for brand) that greatly increases debuff rate so I wonder if it stacks with the 7star bat that inflicts poison and blind.
An example of each is Buffs - raise attack Debuffs - lower electricity resistance Damaging status ailments - bleed Restrictive ailments - silence These are all considered different things in the games eyes. So ailments are not considered debuffs.
I have been using the aquanaught's water AOE to clear rooms in the same way that i use the bane brush on the maid. Otherwise, yeah the class isn't so great
The tennis ace and linebacker aren't paid dlc. They're pre order bonuses. There's a massive difference in the 2 things. You aren't paying for them if you pre-order the game. They're added in as a bonus. Considering that this game was one of the most preordered its kinda odd not to include them
Over time the majority of players will not have these jobs unless they buy them. This will make it paid dlc for most players. Current bonus or not they do not interest me.
Aquanaut made me win the duel against that MMA guy 5 or so levels below him, because you can blind with the squid. so I will forgivet it and yes I enjoyed the class, aoe heal, blind, water damage it has "style" with the look and the surfboard not saying its the best objectively speakin though.
Freelancer is sadly a worse version of Dragon of Dojima, i think it can be good with Asakura skills and inheritance skills but Action Star is just as this point easier to play for less grind for the exact same purpose of doing pure raw dmg. Plus Hero with attacks buffs will do more damage while boosting other non magic party member damage.

I want more content and to play the game longer. I don't want the power more jobs bring. Simply put I buy the things I want and don't buy the things I don't want. Not making a big moral stance here I just don't like the job dlc or paying for power in general

Tennis Ace is probably my favourite female job, the essence moves are fantastic. The linebacker gives every male character essentially Adachis breaking top grapple which I think is absurdly good (I personally think you undervalued just how powerful detective is btw) and the essence moves once again are just fucking fantastic. With that being said though, enjoy the game how you want to and happy gaming friend :)

Both are scummy and both should avoid being bought however I'm not trying to take a moral stand I just buy things I want and don't buy things I don't want. And even though this dlc was a pre order bonus I would not have bought it so I chose to not use them in my playthrough.
The only good move in freelancer is the grapple that has a chance to instantly KO. Sujimancor sucks ass imo, the damage sucks ass even with 999 in each sujimon slot. The revive is good but other things are terrible, really disappointed in the DPS of it.

My choice to not play or rank the dlc jobs are not saying others can't use them but for me I would not buy them and what they do does not interest me. Either they are terrible and a waste of money, they are average and not needed, or are amazing and make the game easier. All of which means they are either totally unnecessary or not desired I'm not trying to make a moral high ground argument here like my dlc is not bad vs this other dlc is bad. I'm just simply saying the job dlc does not interest me and thus I don't want to use it and it's not safe for me to assume all players in the future will have these jobs.
Combat and class customization and builds is way better in OT2 The story and balance is better in infinite wealth. I think I had more fun moment to moment in OT2 but infinite wealth I will remember for longer

Linebacker is not incredibly powerful but I believe it's underrated.

@@wolfy4612 enemy hp scales but not nearly as much as other stats. I assume this is to cause summons to still be relevant
yes noticed too. But my main summon is Yuki/Koyuki for the atk buff or Yuya for Mag buff
For first playthrough Samurai was absolutely busted. Just gave everyone Burning arrow which does heavy AOE fire damage for only 20 mp.
I really love a lot of the jobs but samurai is definitive my favorite class together with some chef abilities

if you'll like certain skills until after you've already gone through the grind. Not to mention that you don't need most of these skills.

I payed a lot of money for this game so I'm happy to have the possibilities. Besides that if I grind the levels I get a lot of buffs that you need for new game plus.
I don't get it. nobody is forcing you to use all jobs.
Only because you're using only few classes doesn't mean everyone is doing this that way. The thing is it's not about getting every class to 100 but to give us more possibilities to test things out and try other classes, experience a different way of the game and to give all players the right jobs for them.

However, I agree with you that it's not necessary to try and do everything the game has to offer. Except.....the game certainly wants you to do just that.
And the problem I have with this is that, not only do you not know which skills and abilities you want before you try them, but it also takes a considerable amount of time to level up each job to the point where you can find that out. And once you do, it's very likely that you'll have wasted MANY hours on something that is completely useless.
There's also the feeling that, having spent "all this money" on a game, that you want your money's worth. And you don't really get that unless you try everything. At least I feel that way.

It wasn't as good as the first one, but I enjoyed it.
Aquanaut 7 star suit allow you to ignore enemies resistances it's like the 7 star sword of Gangster job from Zhao it's very good. Like Zhao sword is by far the number 2 weapon of all ulimate weapon by far just cause it doesn't care about any resistances and of course Number 1 is Ichiban true hero bat, and for a number 3 probably Action star 7 star weapon cause who care about receving damage when Essence of Improvisation can litteraly full heal you and kills enemies in a big area,and damages overall are pretty hight especify if you +50 it with like great boost of blunt damages ect , youll kill them in a blink without thinking of the glass canon effect.
Action Star is the hardest hitting job in the game with that ultimate weapon. It's easy to play around the drawback too
Don’t forget the Dragon Soul bat - this ignores guard and basic attacks = area damage. Wipe out mobs with this - even the ones on guard.
Haven't gone too deep into aquanaut with the 7 star suit but I felt like it really fell off late game. The big fish move literally never stuns either. Been playing the game since release day and I swear I just proc'd a stun off that attack for the first time yesterday
@@hjblacdes61 Essence of Dolphin Dive is where its at for Aquanaut...both end game bosses are weak to it...granted one of them only in the second phase. And if they are weak to that they are weak to Scum Scrubbers for the girls......Last bosses were a joke with those skills.

Out of the 12 exclusive jobs, I would say that at least 8 of them are viable of keeping, even if there are better jobs for some of them. IMO.
Those are:
- Hero
- Dragon Of Dojima
- Cabbie
- Heiress
- Homeless Guy
- Assassin
- Gangster
- Hitman
Freelancer is extremely powerful, damage-wise, but it is slow and it can miss quite a lot. Plus, no AOE. I suggest to just inherit the Release German Suplex and move on.
Sujimancer is only meant for early-game and mid-game. Late-game, especially against the final boss, reduced its overall effectiveness in my eyes. Still, its abilities are underwhelming, even with Kiwami Sujimon, especially the AOE ones with only lines. Sure, it does have some of the best Essences, but the fact that it cannot be inherited is an absolute bummer, making me want to use this job less. I doubt that they would actually allow it, otherwise it might swing the other direction in terms of balance.
Detective and Barmaid have the same problem of being overshadowed by generic jobs. The other 8 jobs have justifiable reasons to run as the main job. However, these 2 jobs have abilities that are inferior to the generic jobs. Sure, there are skills like Arrest, but you might as well inherit it to a Linebacker Adachi, since it is superior to Detective in every other way. As for Barmaid, I only inherited her Essence Of Magnum Bottle just to have something from her real job, but I won't be shocked if anyone runs Saeko with none of the Barmaid abilities.
imo geodancer (chitose) is the best character/job in the game. you can feel the difference in a team without her

@@Temperance_XVII Chitose’s exclusive armor gives MP when she receives a buff. This is a huge deal and basically makes the job have endless buffs and heals.

All my girl party member at least have Kunoichi Substitution Jutsu (broken turn skipping tool) and Tennis Ace Court Maintenance (remove all buff from enemy, broken af)
I’ve used sujimancer before and even with the strongest sujimons, its damage just fall off short at later levels even some of the support jobs do the same amount or even better damage and heals without their ultimate weapons. the job is very lackluster for what it is
In LAD there was absolutly jobs you would NEVER touch that felt like a total waste of time like BarMaid & Freelancer but in IW the new improvements to the job system make every single job viable and worth using and upgrading.
Great video ! Wild sweep is really great too, and honestly I really like the night queen the charm and heavier attacks are great for people who have more of a physical play style! They made using knockback attacks really fun to use
Interesting that you put Sujimancer in S Tier. From what I have seen the general opinion seems to be that the job kinda sucks. I don't know if most of these are maybe early game impressions. Personally I love the job, mainly because it actually summons your sujimon but also it's nice to have all elements I guess. BUT I hate that the aoe skills all fire just in a line. If it comes back in yak 9 they seriously need to fix that.
Sujimancer seems to scale slower than other classes in the early game (due to no weapon). I noticed that around class level 30+ its base stat start scaling like crazy. End up dealing pretty good elemental damage in the late game.
The Sujimancer is a really strong class if you equip the kiwami sujimon, that is if you have them and have upgraded them

It gets really strong around job rank 50 from my experience. The first 30 levels have abysmal scaling and it felt super weak, but it definitely picked up in the higher ranks.
Honestly I actually like night queen a lot, it can do so much damage and having the ability to charm on the aoe is so good as well! I think it’s a bit underrated.
agreed I feel like I've gotten crazy mileage out of heel stomp. feels like I'm hitting sweet chin music on bosses melting that health bar lmfao. spinning queen and the electric status abilities are great too.
Honestly one thing that kinda annoys me is that there isnt any True Final Millennium Tower or anything like that in IW, the big swell is as close as we get and i found it ridiculously easy. Really unfortunate theres no endgame dungeon

Housekeeper + Host + Aquanaut with 7star gear carried my ass from the final chapter all throughout post game. Never got Host last weapon. Once I got the fire bottle that can buff magic, I never went for another bottle.
Action Star and pyrodancer may not be great but the buffs they give are absolutely worth grinding for, same thing for host since I was able to do up to 8000 damage with one skill with said buffs, tennis is really solid especially since they have many piercing skills.

Why did you rank jobs you never played. I get not including them because you don’t agree with the pay scheme but how can you compare them with other jobs if you didn’t use them? Why not just leave them out?
I equipped them on some characters who were in my reserves. I was considering using them and making content on them but decided not to.
I didn't compare them to other jobs I did leave them out. This tier list had them on there so I put them at the bottom which did not mean bad it was just didn't use.
I'm beaten ng+ with all jobs at level 99, all weapons maxed at +50. The list isn't bad, but in my opinion it's not entirely accurate. Good job overall though for sure.
How long did you grind to get all jobs lvl 99?

@chasemay1786 you'll never get to 99/99 in the base game. The after game dungeon in the base game will only give a non bar moving amount of xp at level 86. In the NG+ you can hit it in the dungeons that open up prior to the end of the game in NG+. It takes roughly 1 run through those dungeons on the last stage from floor 1 through 10. You may need to go back and finish 1 to 2 floors but that should top you off to 99 on the job. Getting to 99 on the character takes longer but in NG+ you'll be 99 just playing it. Time wise, you'll literally collect enough metal to get all main weapons to level 50 with 150 lustrous steel. That's how long. Best advice I can give is you just enjoy it till the after dungeon and do it in NG+. For context, you get an achievement for leveling at level 70 or 75. That's because the games not designed to hit 99/99 in the normal game. To be honest I know it possible, but it would take 100's of hours. Again, it's not designed XP wise to level you in the normal game. I advanced NG+ at level 86 when I noticed I couldn't level off level 86 in the after game dungeon in 4 hours or so. I may have made half a level?? In NG+ I started to level immediately at a very noticeable rate.
Sorry if this is long, I just wanted to explain it all if you plan to hit level 99/99 in the base game. You could do it, but due to design it would take a highly unreasonable amount of time. 100's of hour, maybe 300 to 400 due to the xp creep. NG+ you can do it in the dungeons with a 1 hour run per job depending on how fast you clear the last dungeon stage from floor 1 to 10 and if you use the job xp modifiers, which I did. Takes you from 1.0 xp to 1.4xp in NG+ since the NG+ dungeon mobs on the last stage are level 93 and over.

freelancer by itself is kinda bad, but skills like Ruffian's Kick and Atomic Drop deal insane damage. if you want some damage on ichi, level it up till you get them. And if you want to challenge yourself, inherit Essence of Roadside Weapon cause it's fucking hilarious

Amazing item early and mid game. Late game its probably still pretty good but the combat tends to last less than 3 turn cycles so I tend to prefer to 20 agility at the suoer end game at least

This game is great...just beat the main story and wanted a better idea how to refine my party. This definitely helps
I honestly thought it was kinda disappointing. The story felt like one of the messier ones in the series, as well as being far too crowded and overall unemotional. I think they really front loaded all the emotional stuff, as well as the earlier Kiryu chapters. Immensely fun in regards to everything else though, the mini games were top tier imo. Substories also kicked ass this time around

I'm so happy that we have so many jobs to choose.
It hurts that they take out the one job that was so good for adachi from last game and fortuner that was very good and the female dlc job from yakuza 7.
IMO the breaker is useless and they should have take it out but that just my opinion.
The sujimancer is pretty cool but only if sujimons are maxed out and a weapon would be so cool.
Besides that I love all of the classes and will definitely max all of them out.

What covers debuffs in the game? Are damaging/restrictive ailments also considered debuffs? There’s a purple seal (for brand) that greatly increases debuff rate so I wonder if it stacks with the 7star bat that inflicts poison and blind.
An example of each is
Buffs - raise attack
Debuffs - lower electricity resistance
Damaging status ailments - bleed
Restrictive ailments - silence
These are all considered different things in the games eyes. So ailments are not considered debuffs.

I have been using the aquanaught's water AOE to clear rooms in the same way that i use the bane brush on the maid. Otherwise, yeah the class isn't so great

The tennis ace and linebacker aren't paid dlc. They're pre order bonuses. There's a massive difference in the 2 things. You aren't paying for them if you pre-order the game. They're added in as a bonus. Considering that this game was one of the most preordered its kinda odd not to include them
Over time the majority of players will not have these jobs unless they buy them. This will make it paid dlc for most players. Current bonus or not they do not interest me.

Aquanaut made me win the duel against that MMA guy 5 or so levels below him, because you can blind with the squid. so I will forgivet it and yes I enjoyed the class, aoe heal, blind, water damage it has "style" with the look and the surfboard not saying its the best objectively speakin though.
Freelancer is sadly a worse version of Dragon of Dojima, i think it can be good with Asakura skills and inheritance skills but Action Star is just as this point easier to play for less grind for the exact same purpose of doing pure raw dmg. Plus Hero with attacks buffs will do more damage while boosting other non magic party member damage.

@@purplatypus7405 if anything paying for new game plus is the thing that provides more power. The new jobs give you more options not power. The argument can be made that levelling the jobs gives you stat increases but with the base jobs you get more than enough.
Don’t get me wrong. I’m not a good person. I’m a RGG shill and I bought the ultimate version to play the game for as long and as much as possible. Just weird to have an issue with something like more jobs which I don’t really think anyone has to much of a problem with but then in the same video talk about new game plus but not having any issues with that. I have the same issue with the job dlc but the difference is I don't want the jobs either. They are not required for me to play the game while I can't play legend difficulty without the master vacation bundle which is why I bought that and only after beating everything else in the game first.

To be completely fair thought not just because you spent the money but for your enjoyment. I strongly suggest using the DLC jobs. Tennis Ace is probably my favourite female job, the essence moves are fantastic. The linebacker gives every male character essentially Adachis breaking top grapple which I think is absurdly good (I personally think you undervalued just how powerful detective is btw) and the essence moves once again are just fucking fantastic.
With that being said though, enjoy the game how you want to and happy gaming friend :)

The only good move in freelancer is the grapple that has a chance to instantly KO.
Sujimancor sucks ass imo, the damage sucks ass even with 999 in each sujimon slot. The revive is good but other things are terrible, really disappointed in the DPS of it.
