Hate to comment this, but I'm so glad I watched your video. I have this exact model. I like them. But I thought they were stuck. I couldn't open them. I've been using them since April. Why I thought they opened pushing up? Thanks for showing to push down to open. You saved my life 😊
@@DadReviews wrong! After telling him the second time I would have paused the video recording 🤣 Good review, just wish u had cut a fee branches Also, what size are these?
They work okay. However each time you make a cut the lock engages and you have to unlock the Pruner each time you make a cut. I took a pair of needle nose pliers and took off the locking mechanism.
I have no clue who that is, but I’m looking him up now! Update: looked him up. Didn’t realize his last name was Rogers! In college people used to call me shaggy because I looked like him!!
It would have been helpful if you could have checked the blade for sharpness for us. My first pair of these was excellent. I just got a spare pair that is useless. You can't cut butter with them. The blade was never sharpened....just painted black. Weird. I'll be calling the Fiskar people on Monday to find out what they have to say and what they'll do about it.
Let us know how the customer service is for you. In my experience it has been great. Sounds like you just got a bad pair. I'll have to do a follow up video of me pruning something with them. Thanks for the idea.
I bought a set of these, brand new, started pruning some very small dwarf apple tree branches, they sucked. When they'd finally get thru some of the branches they pinch the hell outa my finger every time. Boy did that piss me off. They are Chinese junk. My bad for even buying them to begin with.
Felcos are reliably good, anything with a metal body is usable. Lightweight plastic bodied are tidy but have little leaverage and bend out of shape on some cuts, just feel lightweight and cheap.
@@DadReviews over time they fall apart. Felco or Bahco prunes are the best and last. If you add up all the money over the years it’s the same. Plus it’s nice to be able use the tool as intended instead fight a broken tool. Just my helpful opinion over the years I’ve been doing this.
Thanks for sharing your experience@@eithieus1652 . I'll have to see if I can find the Felco or Bahco ones. I've never heard of those before. Thanks for the info.

Welcome! Glad it helped.
The patience of a saint dealing with your kid. Dad rating 10/10!
I guess you have to be patient so that they are patient, right?

Do you know how to and when to adjust these pruners
What do you mean adjust?
any way to sharpen the blades
I’m not sure. Might be able to try the lifetime warranty they have.
It's a metal blade, it'll sharpen, probably keep an edge for a while.
For the scissor action don't sharpen too much on the inside edge.
Is this blade replaceable….?

Smart idea
update I took them apart which is real easy to do and sharpened the one side that is the blade put it back together. It works like it’s brand new.
Thanks for letting us know! Also since they are so easy to take apart, I bet they sell just the blade too.
Nice review. Just Fyi, its loppers not loopers.
Oh thanks! Good to know
I wish YT still showed dislikes so I wouldn't have to waste my time on videos like this.
Hey, great video. Keep up the good work!
Thanks! Glad you liked it! Thanks for watching!
I always wondered what Shaggy Rogers would look like if he was a dad.😜
I have no clue who that is, but I’m looking him up now!
Update: looked him up. Didn’t realize his last name was Rogers! In college people used to call me shaggy because I looked like him!!
Really bad, they don't cut well over time, loose sharpening and become loose

Best hand pruners? Not even close. I own 7 pairs of pruners from different brands, this one is the worst.
Why?
Felcos are reliably good, anything with a metal body is usable. Lightweight plastic bodied are tidy but have little leaverage and bend out of shape on some cuts, just feel lightweight and cheap.
Junk
Why? What's wrong with them?
Bit extreme there.
They're good for flower picking. And trimming mint etc when you've got nothing better.

@@DadReviews my favorite felco 8 and 2. The felco 2 are most popular by professionals. Hope this helps
