Got two of these a couple weeks ago. They really wake the 24v tools up. The chainsaw, polesaw, weedwater, miter saw and lawnmower all have noticeable power increases.
I bought 2 of these. Never used them because after purchasing we went on a 8 hr drive and it was still in the original packaging and it caught fire in the trailer while driving. Kobalt did take care of all the damages but I'm not the only one it's happened to.
I have that vacuum and was really wondering if the battery would fit, so thanks a ton for looking at that exact issue! It's definitely what I would consider a high demand tool, having high power output and constant running, so the 8Ah battery seems pretty ideal for it!
Sorry, this channel is just commentary, but no objective information. In Project Farm channel, the Marine buzz guy would test if the 8mAh battery produced the rated Watts power against the 4 or 6 battery. In one show, Project Farm compared a DeWalt battery against 2 no-brand replacements rated at the same capacity but cost 1/2. It turns out that DeWalt and BOTH replacements didn’t match the rated 100 Watts, but DeWalt came close, and the other 2 were about 40-75%, meaning one of the replacement were far cheaper than DeWalt on $/Watt basis but the other no-brand was worse. This was based on DeWalt using Samsung batteries while the others used China-made batteries of unknown quality. Sorry, this channel and others don’t come close to giving this kind of information.
You said it didn't fit (maybe you meant something different), but I have the job site fan, and the 4.0 old style battery fits just fine. Great review though. I'm going to pick up a couple 8.0s soon.
How long can u run the shop vac with the 8amp battery? That’s what I would want it for I do got 6 6.0 an 9 4.0 batteries I am able to use the vacuum for along time with them an they did update the job site fan my 4.0 xtr battery fits in it
All of the ultimate output (black case) batteries use 21700 cells, the blue case batteries use 18650 cells, along with the older (and no longer sold in stores) 1.5ah black case battery.

Love all my kobalt tools and batteries best bang for the buck
I have the miter saw I think it would be good on there.

They did a update on the jobsite fan if it's a 0121 or newer that january 2021 than it will take all the batteries extended and ultimate.

I would love to have that on my 24v shopvac but it's not available here in Canada.
Would love to see you test out the power difference in the circ-saw compared to the 4ah.
Works great for there heat gun
Looks like that will not work in their power mower since holder is limited to fit battery is was sized for.
Would be good in the Miter Saw

I got about an hour and a half of constant running
I have the mower along with the weed eater and will get a couple of the batteries to see how they do
Would be perfect for the cordless Mitre!
Yes, and tower light, the vacuum, and more!
What cells are they using?? In each can you please do a video on the types of cells each use??

What battery cells are used ?
21700 in this battery
Samsung 40T 21700 4000mAh Cells. Same as the 4ah Extreme. Just 2x as many.
The miter saw
u think it will work on a weed eater
