Statue for Fernandinho? Yes from me. He has been absolutely awesome over the years and his level has never dropped. insrumental in the success of Man City to this point.

I think he only expected to get the odd game this season anyway, just as 'cover' for other players, so i can't really say i'm surprised to hear that he's intent on leaving this time around .... it's pretty clear that he's looking forward to returning to Brazil and his family, and i reckon it will be sooner rather than later ...... all good things come to an end i suppose.

Very poor journalism, the journalist didn't even react or ask a follow up question when he said he wouldn't be renewing his contract. Just moved on to his next pre planned question which was pretty irrelevant.
Dint think much in the way of he is going to change football however he has been vital for city very good deal for city don't think they paid massively over the odds for him either
Man City leadership has an issue somewhere. Leroy Sane, Yaya Toure, Kelehci Iheanacho, Raheem Sterling, Fernadinho,. Something isn't right about the way people leave or are made to leave. Still can't wrap my mind around Yaya Toure being overlooked for a club statue. This club has to plan survival post Guardiola. Clubs find it hard to attract top talent when stories of ingratitude get around.
Yaya damaged his status at the club with his antics when trying to engineer a transfer. He was at the club for less time and made fewer appearances than Joe Hart. Kele wasn't good enough for City unfortunately. Sane didn't press enough for Guardiola's system. Sterling is still at City but if he leaves I suspect he will be replaced with better. Fernandinho is past his peak, he knows it, City know it. There's no issue there.

Gotta be one of the stupidest comments I've ever seen about City. Players rarely leave the club until they've been there years. Players are rarely "made" to leave. Yaya Toure made his own bed re lack of a statue. The club is undoubtedly already planning for the post-Guardiola era (even though he'll still be there for a while yet). There's no "ingratitude" around City. Literally everything about this comment is lies and invention.

Rodri currently is one of the world’s best DM’s. Fernandinho was the same in his prime, he’s still quality but it’s time. Seeing Yaya, Hart, Aguero, David Silva, Vinny, Zabaleta, and Fernandinho leave. It’s the end of a glorious core that brought joy to City fans.
