This somg and group enlightened my music world. I was about 5yo, growing up in Harlem, NY. It helped me get through.brings tears to my eyes for many reasons. Music is so healing.
I lived in Atlanta and used to travel home for the holiday to New Orleans. I met a young lady name Julie, who's brother went to Xavier University in New Orleans. We hung out during the entire train ride. Julie was listening to songs on her headphone and I recall hearing this song. We both loved Soul II Soul. Every time I hear this song I am reminded of my brief encounter with Julie-my train mate who had good taste in soul music. Can't believe how time has flown by, I always wonder what happened to Julie. I am sure she married and had kids.
I sent a tweet to Jazzy asking if he had plans to tour again, and Surprising he responded to me 3 times informing that they would tour in the US to promoting the 20 anniversary of Soul ii Soul. It's good to see them back out there.
Loose Ends and Soul 2 soul showed the world that British blacks have just the same genetics when it comes to makin soul music …they set the high standards for rnb in the 90s frfr!!
