    I lifted the bike, at 10lbs got the one notch deflection and it seems my belt is far too tight. Now I get a groaning noise in turns.

    in the repair manual it shows that you use your tension gauge in the same window that you show, but is says to record your measurment from the section at the front of the belt cover where there are more 5mm marks. which is correct. please help. Thanx

    What range of belt shifting in viewing window would be normal(in millimeters) ?
    3-4.5 mm or 3-4 cm?

    Do you need to remove the case and muffler or can it be done without removing??

    nice video, but how to line out the rear pulley/wheel, because the marks on the left end right side or not 100% correct.

      You can take a measurement of a fixed point to confirm on both sides.

      Use a string line that goes around front and back wheels to gauge wheel alinement. Google it for a better explaination. Cheers!

    No one says you have take the bike in half to change the belt !
    Change a chain you just hook the new chain to tbe old chain and pull it through and adjust and you done ( belts are a good idea ?)!

    is the 10lb spec the old spec or the updated spec as the belts were to tight coming from the factory

      @PartzillaParts  6 лет назад

      It's the inspection spec, as I know it. From the factory, they used to come tighter.

    Just adjusted my belt for the first time. The ajuster nut on the belt side was really hard to turn. is this normal?

      Partzilla what would make it so hard to turn the belt side ajuster? should i be worried? The brake side turned very easy.

    Kawasaki manual says to adjust the belt to certain number .. Then freaking belt squick and made whitle noise ..then You will end with a damage bearing
