    I love using milks in my soap. It adds a level of luxury you can't get with other techniques.

    I love calendula infused Oil. I use a nylon stocking ( new ofcourse) to squeezzzze all the good stuff out, the same Way You did the oats. I did a calendula soap just 2 days ago. Keep all the Good videos coming. LOVE to watch them. :-)

    It looks so creamy and delicious! I added the oat milk to the oils before I add the Lye.....That works too right!

    6:58 you only add lye (water & caustic soda), to the mixer, or do you add something more? Sodium lactate ?

      It's been a long time since I've made this, but if you want to harden your bar, you can add 1/2 teaspoon of salt to your water before adding the lye. You can also add sodium lactate before the lye in the water. Another option is adding sodium lactate after the soap comes to trace. Sometimes, I'll even add the sodium lactate to my fragrance oil if I don't want to blend my soap a million times adding every ingredient. Sorry for the late response. Sometimes I don't get notifications on comments.

    This is beautiful, and I know it's nice to use, with a great combination of infused essential oils. Did I miss something in the preparation? I didn't remember seeing any addition of Sodium Hydroxide? Is that in this recipe?
    Ok... I was distracted; I went over the video again and noticed that you strained the liquid NaOH, when adding it to the mixture- Got It!

      Yes, I like to add all of my additives first so everything is blended well before adding the lye. This bar was very nice to use and it hardened quickly during the cure. It also had a very long shelf life. Thank you for watching!

    What was the other oil you used besides Calendula?

  • @thesoapilove
    @thesoapilove Год назад

    How do you calculate the SAP of the calendula infused oil you use in your oils ? I usually do the same way and in the soap calc, I put the amount of infused oil, as olive oil cause it’s the oil I use to make the infusions.

      I just go by what the oils would be without the calendula in it.

    I made the mistake of ordering 16 oz of calendula petals a few months ago. From now on, I will be VERY careful to read the description AND size of the product. It's going to take me years to use it all up.

      @sprinkledcleansoapery  4 года назад +3

      🤣 yes! I try to remember the weight of the products and how big the package will be. 16 oz of oil is much different than 16 oz of feathers. 🤣 If I were you Id infuse them in some oil. That way you can use them for their good properties and as decoration.

    Hi ,
    does the calendula soap heal the skin? How is the lather ?

    • @sprinkledcleansoapery
      @sprinkledcleansoapery  4 года назад +1

      Calendula has healing properties. The lather is very bubbly. The more coconut oil, the bigger the lather. 💕

    Great video! Can the oat milk be frozen? Thank you!

    • @sprinkledcleansoapery
      @sprinkledcleansoapery  2 года назад

      Thank you! You can freeze it. I wouldn't use it as a lye solution though. I'd thaw it and add it after emulsification or straight to the oils. It gets weird and chunky in the lye solution. I've made that mistake. 🤣

    do you discount the water so to add oat milk?

    • @sprinkledcleansoapery
      @sprinkledcleansoapery  3 года назад +1

      Yes. I make sure that I at least have the same amount of water as I do lie. And then the rest of the water would be the oat milk.

    What a beautiful soap... Would you mind if I make a soap that is somewhat similar to this. I would of course give proper credit to you in the video.

      Absolutely you can do this!!! I believe sharing ideas is important in this community! We can all learn and grow from each other!!! I know I've learned a lot from RUclips videos!! I'd love to see the video when you put it up.

    Curious to know how your 100% oatmilk turned out - if it was lye heavy or not.
