Congratulations Montebello, it was a pleasure sitting next to you during awards and congratulations on winning drill team sweepstakes! ~ A Glendora HS Sax player
@@sugoibakame Your posture and free arm placement are just superb. You could be more authentic if you put the ball of the mace at the top of your carry instead of at the bottom. Best wishes.
Michael J I believe it is only a Southern California requirement to carry the ball of the baton at the bottom, otherwise I would’ve been penalized. Thank you so much for the feedback!
@@sugoibakame Apologies, as you are absolutely correct according to The Parade Guide for Directors. "Military Drum Major is one who: Uses a Military Baton, which is 32 inches to 49 inches in length. Beats time in an up and down style with the tip of the baton pointed up. Salutes with the Baton held in the right hand crossing the front of the body to the left side, with the head of the Baton up. Mace Drum Major is one who: Uses a Mace, which is 50 inches to 66 inches in length. Beats time in an up and down style with the head of the mace up. Salutes with the right hand while holding the Mace in the left hand with the Mace Head up. "
