You don't have to apologize, me and the rest of your fans really enjoy your content, we still see your expressions and how you play the game, so just keep doing things the way you've always done and lets all cry our eyes out together at this game!
To clarify a bit on Xion, she was essentially meant to be something similar to a robot who could wield a keyblade, with no autonomy or identity so that the organization could fully control it in case Roxas ever went AWOL on them (which he does lol). However Xemnas or Saix didn't know that all Replicas will eventually gain some sort of identity because Axel never told them the Riku Replica did gain his own identity and sense of self despite having the appearance and memories of someone else.
@@skyeifer The Organisation itself is such a fascinating concept - it's an actual cult. All the members are given the same clothes, given new names, given featureless grey rooms and not allowed to have many if any possessions, are banned from talking to anyone outside the organisation, and are constantly told their feelings are fake and they have no hearts. Then, as you've learned, it turns out Nobodies can grow new hearts if they're exposed to emotion and memory, like Axel did when exposed to Roxas, who arguably got his from his connection to Ventus. And then you consider that Xemnas' plan was to put his heart into each of the Organisation members as vessels, it suddenly makes sense why he went to such lengths to keep them from the kind of experiences that would cause a new heart to grow...
Honestly, you don't need to apologize. You don't need to commentate the whole video because we, as your audience could totally feel your emotion by just looking at your expression. Thank you for sharing your experience with us. I'm looking forward for more of your Kingdom Hearts journey
This was the first KH game I noticed they had a more realistic and darker side of the series that I appreciated and resonated with when I first played it. The sea salt trio will always hold a special place in my heart
Btw, at 22 mins, Roxas says "I can deal with 7 days maybe" when he and Axel are talking about Summer Vacation, and if you pay attention to how many days he spends in Twilight Town in this game AND KH2, he spends EXACTLY 7 days in Twilight Town, meaning Roxas lived exactly 1 year before he disappears into Sora. The Emotional "Foreshadowing" is real with this series.
Also a ds cutscene that gets left out is kinda important Roxas duel blade is because of xions keyblade her keyblade becomes oblivion due to her destiny and roxas keyblade becomes oathkeeper due to the connection between them
@@skyeifer I recommend playing the DS game just for those little moments that are left out from the movie. Especially if you've caught up with all the games. The reason is because Days story means more the more you know the lore. Also Roxas best boi.
Yeah I never understood why people made fun of the scene with Roxas asking Xion who else would he have ice cream with. It’s like ‘You all watched/played the game. You would know that eating ice cream is the definition of being friends/best friends for Roxas. So that sentence is basically him asking who else will he be friends with as he’s breaking down.’ That scene always kills me. It has since the DS game came out. I am sad you didn’t play the actual game but I can understand watching the movie instead. It’s easier to do. It’s just for me, playing the game let’s you experience their friendship growing and their development plus the movie leaves out a hilarious scene between Roxas and Xion that even the manga included XD
This game is very special to me, while not the first time I've seen Kingdom Hearts, it was my first KH game I played. The new HD cutscenes were nice, but the DS game is also worth trying! There's so much dialogue and nuance in the game that they did not put in these cutscenes. One of my favorite things they did is sometimes show Sora from KH1 in the bottom screen during gameplay to represent that Roxas is remembering Sora's adventures. The game also had Roxas' diary which further explores his character by writing his thoughts on each Day, and you could unlock secret diary entries from other Organization members (this game's Ansem Reports basically). My favorite entry is one of Axel's, he talks how he always saw Xion with her hood up but when they become friends he was finally able to see her face, explaining the cutscene when Xion's hood keeps being up and down. The game also had multiplayer missions and you could play as any Organization member! The combat and exploration is more basic than KH1, but it's a nice game to play on the DS.
Yeah, you could play many of the missions in multiplayer in a different menu from the story. Here's an old video with gameplay (the quality seems awful but this was a DS game): ruclips.net/video/YWq6mXQ6GlY/видео.htmlsi=7-F9uKl6D8K6DHqt
I love the intire history in this game, I love this trio, but is so sad, every time I see this game I cry a lot. I wish you continue this journey into the kingdom hearts games and enjoy them. Smile and cry so much. I love to see more people enjoy the history e the gameplay inthis games.
43:13 "Which would you rather suffer the loss of: some make-believe friendship or a real, one?" This is just one of the many subtle double meanings gifted to us from Days. Seriously they drop so many subtle hints at things to come. What I hate about the movie is that they left a cool scene out. When Xemnas and Saix are standing over Roxas wondering when he'll wake, Xemnas murmurs to himself "Sleep has taken you yet again." If you played BBS you know he is referring to Ventus and thus he remembers his time as a human. KH3 spoiler: What the quote above is possibly alluding to is Saix is jealous of Axel's friendship with Roxas and Xion when Saix and Axel are supposed to be undercover and close allies. It's so subtle but after KH3 it became obvious Saix was massively annoyed with Axel.
@@skyeifer It really made sense to me given the death stare Saix was giving Axel as he said it and then Axel looking down as if he knew what Saix was really saying.
To be fair "Who I have ice Cream with?" was never supposed to be funny... Because it was supposed to be a callback... This is how Axel clumsily explained to Roxas what friends are during his first Days - "You know... Like people you have Ice Cream with." And Roxas took this definition of "Friendship/Friend" to his non-existant heart... So with callback in mind... He was simply asking "Who I will be friends with then?"... In his clumsy way as he was taught in a desperate plea for a miracle that didn't come. I personally think that If people laugh to that... They just were not invested enough early on in the story to pay attention properly... And hence miss on a sad callback and think it was an awkward writing or something.
i honestly was not aware of the callback! but i find the line not awkward at all! to me it feels like a line that comes from an innocent boy who finds a joy in eating ice cream with his friends and i find it very adorable and sad at the same time 😭
