@@CoderMan I’m done with car stuff. Not just a new name but staring over with a whole new channel. Just going to be focused on outdoor stuff, biking, wide variety so I’m not locked into car content.

@Lethal_Venom Gotta respect that. Good luck on the pivot and be sure to call out the new channel on your old one, to let people follow. Will you still have the cars or taking a break?

I’m going thru on my second consumption test in Green OH . The dealer could care less I needed oil changed they just topped it off. I caught them once I popped the hood to check the oil level. Black oil and same dirty filter can.. paperwork reads LOF.
Called them out and resent revised paper stating per Service Manager instructions only top off the oil.
Knew it’s was a scam today they said drop off for 2 hours and 30 min later I’m home hey it’s dealer your car is done.
It’s all a waste glad I paid for certified used car still under warranty just waiting for engine to detonate.

Im going through your videos. My girlfriend is just now dealing with this. Her Palisade is paid off. I suggested she trade it in and not even deal with it. Even if they replace engine, there is no way I'd view it as a reliable car

Same for us. It just won't be reliable. The final video (in this saga) is live now.

Thx for the update. Sadly mopar vehicles have similar guidelines for oil consumption too when their crankcases start drying up. I asked when I was there getting a service done on my 392 mopar.
My resolution…the same one you suggested your wife will be doing. My wife’s choice…don’t blame her. Especially after the Palisade stalled and died on her once due to no oil

Yah stalling while driving would be a non-starter for me. I wasn't expecting to buy another car but it seems inevitable.

Southern Cali girl here. Same issues here. Brought my 2018 Santa Fe in to Hyundai for burning oil.
Same as you and everyone else, was told to do oil change, drive 1,000 miles and bring back in. This was on June 21st,2023. Came back before the 1,000 miles because my oil was very very low by Aug 2nd. Was told it’s obviously low and was topped off and told a submission will be sent to Hyundai. Never heard anything. I drive by the dealership to inquire status this last Monday Sept 18th and was told I was supposed to come back again after being topped off. The newbie (self proclaimed) never explained that. Here I am today but get this, now I’m also being told since my vehicle was bought second hand, the warranty may not cover the cars engine job. Uh??? I bought it from the Hyundai dealership in a different near by city though?? Also does anyone know if the warranty goes with the VIN of the car and not the driver? 🙏🏼

    • @CoderMan
      @CoderMan  8 месяцев назад +1

Warranty should be on the vin not the owner. Unless it's a private 3rd party warranty. These dealers are just saying stuff and apparently forgot the internet exists.

Hey thank you! That’s what I’ve read too about the Vin carrying the warranty. My appointment was at 9:30 this morning and I’m still here at 12:30pm being told it’s another 30 mins. For an oil change?
Idk if it would be different at Toyota which I also have (older Camry) still works like a champ. I’ll never buy from Hyundai again. Completely unacceptable and unsatisfactory. Thank you for all your videos ❤️

Haha just got some BS email from my local Hyundai dealer about checking my oil levels regularly and howto to maintain proper operation. First one of these I’ve ever seen from all my years with Hyundai….no longer a Hyundai owner

dont buy a hyundai and potentially a Kia. My daughter is having this issue with her 2018 hyundai tucson. We have brought the car in 7 times and each time the test requirements change and are forced to start the test over, or they say the other coordinator did take the pics e.t.c. The car has 43k on it, ridiculous.

I recommend you change dealers and confirm the process is followed. Keep your own records too. It's insane how much they try to cover this up...
