He has every reason to be, really. He and his son joined Rocky's gym and made friends with him for who knows how long for the chance that a living legend would train with them. I'd be salty as fuck too, man.
Steve Son No, he doesn’t because Rocky didn’t want to do it anymore. He retired and moved on with his life. The only reason he trained Adonis was because he saw something in him. Also, because he felt like he owned Apollo for not stopping the fight. Then started to train Adonis and began to care for the kid. Rock was living a lonely existence before Adonis came along. They helped each other. I thought it was sweet.
That last part when he says that himself is who he is going against everytime he steps into the ring or in life in general, is so epic and so true. Bruce Lee said that as well and Conor McGregor also recently.
Looking like Carl Weathers would be somewhere like 10th on my list of most important qualities for an actor playing Adonis Creed. Michael B's acting chops are far more important... When it gets to the end of the movie & he says "Let me prove it..." Man, I'm not gonna lie. I teared up because throughout the movie he brought the realism to the screen. I felt like here's a kid whose grown up angry, frustrated & confused and feels like he has something to prove to the world. Looks don't have jackshit to do with that. That's acting. Michael B. Jordan knocked this role out of the park.
I was in high school when rocky one came out and loved the rocky saga story. I have all the anthology dvds of all the movies. Sylvester stallone did a great job and producer and i will never forget all of the anthology movies of rocky. Creed was better than I thought it would be Barry Shulman.
And the generation gap, my father lived in the Fairmount section of Philadelphia as a kid and saw Rocky in the city, he told me afterward that he and his friends ran the whole way home running like Rocky (they ran up the parkway), and I remember seeing Creed locally and people were cheering Donny on and would not shut up about it as we left.
A training scene in the Rocky franchise movies without "Gonna Fly Now" or "Hearts on Fire" as soundtrack isn't a training scene... Apart of this tiny detail, amazing movie!
As a 14-year-old who's been boxing since he was 9, I can guarantee that I could not survive training like this. I'm by no means out of shape. But JESUS.
You could when you turn like 18-24. The only thing that would actually rip you up is the chicken chase and the skipping rope. I'd say it's definitely possible, but it takes hard work. That's how pros go.
i grew up when rocky one came out and have all the anthology dvds of all rockys movies and even cobra, escape plan with James Caviezel and lock up, Creed witch sylvester stallone producer of creed was a great job .Daylight movie 1996. Barry Shulman.
I've always wondered, didn't Rocky own Mickeys gym? It was weird knowing he hadn't gone to the gym in years since he owned it. Like was he getting any money from it?
DrknessRules1 was right. It was willed to Rocky's son. Went Rocky went bankrupt in Rocky V. They could not reposess the gym cause it was in his son's name not his.
If Rocky V was treated like it never happened. Neither did his bankruptcy. He would be living in a mansion and not in a small place in the neighbourhood he grew up in.
I know one thing...Creed's son Adonis has worked out a whole lot better as Rocky's underling than that FUCKING TOMMY😡 from Rocky V ever did!😉 I just wish Adrian & Paulie could've seen it😟
Coach: Start boxin' the mirror.
Kid: How long?
Coach: 'Till you faster than the mirror.
"That was pretty good, chickens are getting slower." Rocky salty he never caught a chicken so damn fast 😂😂😂

That dude salty as fuck that Rocky wont train his son. LOL!
He has every reason to be, really. He and his son joined Rocky's gym and made friends with him for who knows how long for the chance that a living legend would train with them. I'd be salty as fuck too, man.
Rocky knew his his son didn't have the "edge" . Truth hurts, I know parents don't wont to hear it, but sometimes your child just don't have it.
Wardfolio
17-0? He wasn't bad.. I haven't watched the movie though. So, correct me *IF* I'm wrong.
Sir puss He still lost to Adonis.
Steve Son No, he doesn’t because Rocky didn’t want to do it anymore. He retired and moved on with his life. The only reason he trained Adonis was because he saw something in him. Michael is perfect for the role, he looks like Carl Weathers
markaecuevas7 That's true. They could be distant cousins
No disrespect to Michael cuz he was shredded in this movie but Carl was a lot bigger
NBA_FAN but in rocky Carl was a heavyweight in creed Michael a light heavyweight

NBA_FAN Michael gets way bigger trust me
Chicken chasing was old school for Rocky in 1979 when it was introduced by Mickey. It's beyond ancient now. But it looks like it works
John Cella My uncle owned a chicken farm. If you can catch one of them sum bitches, you can change positions on a dime.
John Cella It's not that ancient football players in Florida chase chickens and rabbits
It does. Cleaning chicken coops was a nightmare on for me
mickey would be proud
nas bringing the gap
Mickey woulda been proud of how well Rocky was doing here
"Chickens are slowing down" :D

Only true fans remember this
THATS IT ROCKY! GET EM!
That kid he didn’t train, I got a feeling he’s gonna be a big fight that creed never would’ve expected
Dude literally gets knocked into the next dimension like less than 20 minutes later by creed lol
Seriously Impressed by how well he jumps rope
The bell is hell itself
that bell mean´s hell

Incredible acting and great motivation.

Bobby Shewan How do you train?
Nigga you 14 he like 20 something

Most of this looks pretty damn normal apart from the chicken.

I've always wondered, didn't Rocky own Mickeys gym? It was weird knowing he hadn't gone to the gym in years since he owned it. Like was he getting any money from it?
yeah good point
I think the gym is legally owned by his son, it was willed to him.
DrknessRules1 was right. It was willed to Rocky's son. Went Rocky went bankrupt in Rocky V. They could not reposess the gym cause it was in his son's name not his.
