I have never known in all my years a young person who wasn't into country music who would be caught dead listening to it; you blow me away with your acceptance of all the genres. I always thought it was the guy coming back, and "here I go" was her falling for him again. I like your take much better! Great reaction, and I must comment on your smile; it's fabulous! What a smile! have a great week!
Like you, I listen to everything, I always have. My Momma is a head banger my Daddy was a country good ol’ boy and everything in between was like “if the rhythm moves you jam it”. Momma used to put MTV on all day when she watched kids out of the house when we lived in Maryland/D.C. and Dad would blast country to give the neighbors a taste of Texas when he’d grill on weekends even in snow and it don’t snow where we’re from lol. (Half our family moved up there for construction work in mid 80’s before coming back to Texas in early 90’s) So it makes my heart smile to watch your reactions. For me, music was a way to cope, to get through, to come together, to celebrate, to show pride, and to comfort. So thank you Mr. AB for continuing to do that!
Many (many) years ago I saw Dolly Parton in a concert and she was terrific! However, I think that the police and security near the stage all wrenched their necks craning around to stare! You need to play Loretta Lynn ("Coal Miner's Daughter") next - like Dolly Parton she too wrote her own songs. Ms. Lynn's autobiography should definitely be on your "must read" list along with Elton John's autobiography.
Now Mr. AB, I've been listening to this song since I was a little shit. The way I always perceived it was "here you come again" like this is the perfect dude, and "here I go" like I'm gone, and I ain't falling for it again. It may not be how it was written, but it's been my perspective.
Well, 2 things. First, I believe she is saying that here she goes again down that path with him. I don't know if this is correct but my thoughts. Second, I don't know if you have done her version, (before Whitney Houston), but you should do "I Will Always Love You"
I would recommend Islands in the Stream by Kenny Rogers/Dolly Parton and Romeo by Dolly Parton/Billy Ray Cyrus/ Tanya Tucker/ Mary Chaplin Carpenter/Kathy Mattea. Outside of Dolly Parton, I would recommend Patty Loveless and all of the artist that was included in the song Romeo!
Personally, I don't really consider this a pure country and western song. Just because Dolly has been known for country, doesn't mean everything she does is totally country. This song, Two Doors Down, Jolene, I will Always Love You, 9 to 5, Islands in the Stream, and many other, that you can't call pure country. That's why I'm glad she is in the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame.
Ok, since it's Christmas time PLEASE react to this!!! Like you said, HOW is her voice still like this??? Blows this out of the water. ruclips.net/video/5JAW_7BAs-g/видео.html

"Jolene" and "I Will Always Love You" are two songs that really show off her voice. So many great hits....

Dolly is the Queen of country
Awesome story telling
Awesome music. One of my favorites from Dolly. You always make me laugh.

Hope you listen to Dolly singing live, "He's Alive ". A masterpiece.
Hard pressed to find a bad song from miss dolly
Randy Travis ~ Three Wooden Crosses. Beautiful story song.
Yay for the rain finally. Stopping those grass fires.
He’s a great story telling

This was Dolly’s first million selling record
Please do a George Strait reaction. He is the King of Country! My favorite is I Cross My Heart, but everything he sings is amazing!
Or maybe Alan Jackson. I think he would love It's 5 O'clock Somewhere.
Dolly has a very startling song called The Bridge. Very different song for Miss Dolly.
"Down from Dover" & "Me & little Andy" are great story songs by Dolly. But you could get teary eyed.

One of the coolest women on the planet.
You have to Check out She's an Eagle when she flies and The Rockin Years. U will love them both
You should check out Reba McEntire, "The night the lights went out in Georgia" and "fancy"
Would highly recommend and love if you reacted to "We Got Tonight - Dolly Parton & Kenny Rogers live 1985"

I recommend Dolly's Romeo! It's a hoot.
Please watch Dolly Parton and Kenny Rogers singing, We got the night.
Please, please, please react to Two Doors Down. So far I've only seen one other person suggest this song. It's such a great song!
Lord I wish you could see the video 😂
Don't say, 'cut it off.'
You are just way too cute 😂
