Bill Ward is an absolute MASTER of filling the empty spaces between rhythms. One of the best Sabbath songs hands down. Thank you for getting to this one.
Black Sabbath are known for their darkness, heaviness, guitar riffs, bass madness, drumming mastery, amazing lyrics and overall presence, insanity and uniqueness. But to me the key to Black Sabbath's greatness in the first six albums was Ozzy's vocal melodies. Those melodies impart such a sense of warmth, inclusiveness, empathy, melancholy, light and even love that they pierce your soul. LOVE early Sabbath!
British drummers from the 60's who eventually turned into rock and metal drummers were primarily influenced by American Jazz Drummers. While the same British guitar players were influenced by American Blues guitarists. What a trip!
This is my favorite Sabbath song ever. It has every element that makes them great. Shredding guitars, but amazing rhythm riffs. Geezer and Bill and an unstoppable force. Ozzy is singing lyrics Geezer wrote, but they really mean something and are Pink Floyd levels of deep.
Megalomania is a great one from black sabbath if you haven't heard it before, from the sabotage album. Symptom of the universe, from the same album, is too
Black Sabbath is very good at dynamics, and Bill Ward swings like no other drummer. Black Sabbath only sounds like Sabbath with Bill on the Tubs. I have seen the band play many times over the years and played Sabbath with my friends growing up. They sound great live too.
The best rock/metal drummers are influenced by jazz. The Who, Cream, The Jimi Hendrix Experience and Black Sabbath, among others. And Megadeth’s first drummer had jazz influences.
Hey Josh, good luck with your final semester of college. What I would love to see is someone react to a Deep Purple song that, to my knowledge, hasn't been covered yet: Hard Lovin' Man from 1970's In Rock album. It simply DESTROYS!!! Cheers!
Mr. Josh, I’m sorry, I’m not commenting on this particular song, I’m just reminding you that you need to hear the YES: DRAMA album in it’s entirety. On or off your channel, I don’t care. This is elder knowledge passed down as I see it. You will be blown away, I fucking guarantee it. It’s in my personal top ten albums which is a very limited space. If you want to do a reaction for it, just start with the first song Machine Messiah. That will give you a good idea of how the whole record sounds. I am so NOT kidding here. I know this stuff. Again to remind you that I’m legit, I saw RUSH live in concert 18 times, YES 7 times, QUEENSRYCHE 21 times.....it goes on and on. I know this stuff. Do DRAMA, you won’t regret it, you have my word I promise. It’s badass!
This song is true to its name: everything is rolling in all directions. It's like 15 different songs glued together
The greatest band of all time. Their first six albums are all great, no fillers.
I am 45 i listen to rock music from my 15 and imo no other rock band come close to these genius guys
“Who Are You” might be the ONLY questionable song for how monotonous it is. Just my opinion.
Bill Ward is an absolute MASTER of filling the empty spaces between rhythms. One of the best Sabbath songs hands down. Thank you for getting to this one.
That ending is beyond insane!!! Tony Iommi 🎸🤘
This song totally kicks ass , what a Masterpiece
In my opinion best Sabbath song ever.

A song that seems to appeal to the hardcore fans above all. I love the lyric and I adore the solo at the end.
The Straightener (the extended solo outro) is the best part of an already masterful song.
Probably one of the greatest opening tracks to an album you’ll hear.
This album is a masterpiece, along with the others from their first six. They are incredible.
This song is from my favourite Metal album of all time ever.
One of my all-time favourite Black Sabbath songs on my absolute favourite Sabbath album. Absolutely MAJESTIC track! This is bliss!
Me too Frank, from the very first listen back in 73 I was in awe
Doesn’t or won’t get any better than that!
The heaviness of that guitar and bass in the verse segments is Mesmerizing!!!
the straightener could be the sound track for another eastwood western...

Josh my man this is still among the top Black Sabbath reactions in youtube. Technically and feeling-the-groove -wise.
Black Sabbath "Symptom of the Universe" or "Fairies Wear Boots"
"Die Young" , Killing yourself to live" 🎸
Welcome to Black Sabbath's world !
Megalomania is a great one from black sabbath if you haven't heard it before, from the sabotage album. Symptom of the universe, from the same album, is too
I so love Sabbath..
One of the best songs from one of the best Ozzy era albums
Have you heard Lonely is the Word? Probably the best from the Dio era
The amazing thing is
there are only two channels of vibrations entering one's ears but
in one's mind one is conscious of many distinct sounds.
Vol 4 and sabbath bloody sabbath in my opinion, was the best era of sabbath
Just about every tune on Vol4 is 5 star. Their best album IMO.
"FX" should have been a big hit ;-)
@@megamaniac7402 and Supernaut for sure.
@@159awi Supernaut is ...super. That bass-sound and Bills epic drumming!
Absolutely agree!
Correction: just about every tune from their first 6 albums is a 5 star. Not just vol 4 :P
Love sabbath . 🤘
Thanks for the reaction. Good luck on your final!
Sabbath best band ever

OOOhhh... Sabath...Zepellin...Purple....Floyd...Rush! just unreal!
From their last LP in Ozzy era of 70s 1978 "jhonny blade"
Iommi tears it up on that one.
The best rock/metal drummers are influenced by jazz. The Who, Cream, The Jimi Hendrix Experience and Black Sabbath, among others. And Megadeth’s first drummer had jazz influences.
Wheels of Confusion w/ The Straightener is the Best..

Give a try to Sabbra Cadabra from Sabbath Bloody Sabbath album, and then go to Symptom of the Universe from Sabotage.
Snowblind next !!
Best best ever!!!!!
Watch from 07:05 to see the reviewer get pinned to the wall by the groove at 07:12 . Absolute greatness.
Best band ever
7' 11" 🙏😎😳
The transition at the end for me, with the lyrics represents a pessimistic revelation.
Under the sun.... track number 10.....
As usual with the Sabs from those days, there are 3 songs in one.
Vol4 & Sabbath Bloody Sabbath both top for me.
The song was wrote to confuse you that's why they called Wheels of confusion

Great job and great song, but it's "Wheels" not "Wheel".
That riff is from "Turn it Down" by The Sweet🤘🤘🤘🇦🇺
The riff in Turn it Down is from this song i guess
The Sabbath song was two years earlier, and the riff isn't the same beyond the first three introductory notes. Iommi never needed to rip off anything.
Easy to tell this is my favorite Sabbath album by my picture. It’s produced by Tony Iommi.
