@You're Not That Guy title of the video : last ever cannibal tribe | 60 minutes Australia
There were a lot of heroes in this story. His foster father, the uncle and the TV network.
Or they can just say channel 7 to help them, we send usa military

God bless the adoptive father. He looked genuinely loved by the father. He is a good hearted man
Yes.
His adopted dad makes me believe in humanity 💜
Beautiful. Wawa is blessed
Believe in Jesus, because humanity is flawed.
@Siosifa Jesus is flawed. No God etc.
Everything is flawed... it all depends ondefinition, suturess definotion,
Most definitely and we can't forget the uncle who protected him ❤
As soon as I saw him as a child, my heart broke and the tears came. He had so much raw fear on his face. No child should ever have to feel this type of fear. So glad that Wawa is doing well and loved by so many. Such a beautiful soul.
The most god created is love ❤️
The man who took that little boy in and raised him into such a wholesome young man, he definitely has a great spot picked out for him in heaven. Both are inspirational. And let’s not forget the uncle!!! He stockpiled arrows to try and keep him safe! Just an unreal story all around!
Heaven is right here babbyyyy
The man who raised hi is amazing. He kept his word to channel 7 and not only that he didn't just drop him off at some random place. He raised him. That was beautiful to me.
Damn.... You believe those fantasies the same way they believe the 6-year-old must die - you're not that different.

Awesome story and amazing bravery
Hard to see good journalism like this these days. No pandering, judging or taking sides. Just telling a story. Kudos.

Amen! This was just so wholesome and amazing. No fiction given, just pure truths. Many journalist could learn a thing or two about reporting from watching these stories. What an adventure they had. God Bless all of them. ❤️
A.k.a. liberalism
I cried and cried. I also noticed that when Wawa left, he gave his sling bag and bright mud boots to his brother. He probably gave all of his stuff away anyway. Wawa left on old flip flops. I'm still in tears as I'm writing this. God bless his adoptive family. Hats off to Channel 7 for paying Wawa's school, among others. What a happy ending. Thank you Channel 7, great journalism/coverage....
His yellow jacket to his younger brother Devi too
I shed a real tear when they showed him eating dinner with his foster family and when his brother said “there is nothing different between him and me, he is my brother” 🥺😭😭 man that’s so sweet. 🙏🏾 there are some really good people in this world ❤
I cried when he met his sister, brother and uncles. Such an emotional reunion. A fine young man he turned out to be. Even his uncle was willing to sacrifice his life to save Wawa. I only wish the little children in his village can get a chance to be educated like Wawa did.
When is Wawa returning home again. I will like to go with him.
I have a strange feeling his older brother was feeling guilty about something....could he have been involved in branding Wawa as responsible for their parents' death?
What for? They have their own way of life, no need to push western ways on them. I thought it was wrong of his adoptive parents to Christianise him
Who is crying watching this seeing happiness on the young boy who is now a man very emotional and heartwarming...
Bro it's me who is crying over watching the video😭

Kornelus is amazing to bring Wawa into his own home. Also let's give a lot of credit to his uncle - he was doing whatever he could to save Wawa, whether he had outside help or not.
It was already hard seeing the footage of him when he was young but now it truly shakes me to my core. He has the most beautiful, bright smile. The world almost lost this gift of a human.
I don’t know Wawa, his foster family, or the reporter team but I feel extremely grateful for all their efforts. I hope they all know how loved and appreciated they are. Especially the reporters who must’ve gotten lots of flak for getting involved instead of staying impartial and just putting out the news.
It’s an honor to see the worlds little marked boy all grown up and happy. We never stopped rooting for y’all. We never will.
You can see the pain on wawa's brothers face. Absolutely heartbreaking.

The internal strength Wawa must have to have gone through such a hard life is unknowable to most of us…and even though it was good he found a new family, even that would be hard. I wonder what the evolutionary reasons are for such superstitious behavior within a tribe. I don't mean to be crass, but meat is nutrient dense. Perhaps this an adaptation to gain more nutrition, despite being so maladaptive for those who are being consumed.

Apparently the main guy of the first documentary asked 60 minutes for help getting WaWa out. They REFUSED!!!!!🤬🤬🤬 So he went to a rival network and asked for help there. They said yes. I’m not sure what happened after that since the article I was reading said they were deported before they could reach WaWa. But obviously it all ended up working out which is the most important thing! I was so happy to see he made it out! God bless everyone who helped him, especially his foster father and family.
What? And Wawa as an adult allowed 60 minutes to tell his story again? What main guy? The older one or the young reporter?
Doesn't that reporter work for 60 mins too? Oh i just noticed this broadcasted on channel 7.
Whoa that’s some BS

No wonder 60 minutes has turned off its comments section on all their documentaries. They fear the backlash.
“But Indonesian authorities detained Robson and her Seven crew after a tip-off they were travelling on tourist visas. A big no-no when it comes to filming.
Garry Linell, who was the director of News and Current Affairs at Nine at the time, now writes in the New Daily that he was the one who tipped off authorities because of the ratings bonanza it represented.”
What a big heart from the family that took Wawa and gave him the chance to have standard life. May God continue to bless them abundantly

I suggest that if Wawa went back (on his own) to be among his "family" ... the moment he tried to change the culture, he would once again be labeled as an evil sorcerer and murdered. What is perceived as being "normal" in any culture, is not at all easy to change. For change to come ... history proved over and over again ... that many people (within the groups) must first die.
