Thom Yorke has been added to the chat to say that he's proud
wow that SG tone is pretty spot on!
Unbelievably underrated
Please come and play in England 😊
2:10 - 2:28 seriously gave me chills.
But whats that pedal tho? Been trying to find something similar
@@wiktorsterner6295 hes scraping a coin against the strings with some reverb. Joe made a video on it recently

Immense. Great work!
The best Radiohead cover I've heard in my life, amazing!
defo
Amazing as always!
Amazing. Can you do a video on how to replicate the ambient guitar effects? It was spot on.
Lucian Prime thanks! Do you mean Cory’s jonnyesque Coin and reverb work? It is an awesome sound. I’ll probably do a Radiohead inspired pedalboard roundup in a few weeks time and I’ll be sure to touch on it then!
@@JoeEdelmann3 Do you mean he used a coin on the strings?
@@javiceres Yep! ruclips.net/video/Iu60hv2A8ZY/видео.html
great work guys!
Bellissima canzone e voi ragazzi siete fantastici 👏👏👏
Love it
Phenomenal cover.
This song is perfect. Pls provide the bass tabs for this song 😭🙏
Merecen más visitas y mg
Your SG humbucker tone is perfect for this song. May I ask what you're modeling with - or are you using a traditional amp? Bravo.
Station 2Station ah, thanks! It’s a Vox AC30HW2! The best amp I’ve ever played, hands down.
@@JoeEdelmann3 Love it. If it only had an attenuator. It's a beast!
Station 2Station it is!! And it weighs a freakin ton too 😂
gosh I like the tone of your sg is the closest i've ever heard compared to Tom's 64 SG standard...
Great job !
Excelente trabajo, felicitaciones
What does the Telecaster guy use to get that endless sound
Nico Torrent that is a boatload of delay/reverb and the serrated edge of a coin rubbed against the string to produce an eBow/Sustainer like effect!
@@JoeEdelmann3 thanks You joeee 💥💥
how did you create the sound at 2:10
Lots of reverb, and then the edge of a serrated coin (a quarter) rubbed back and forth on the string at the fret of each note of the melody!
@@JoeEdelmann3 is that it, or is there more to it. do you need to be pressing a pedal at the same time or?
@@JoeEdelmann3 you should make a tutorial on this specific song of johnny greenwood’s part, i’d be appreciated
@@bryynnx1606 nothing more to it! It’s really all in the coin motion (and the Verb to add some smear/sustain)! Maybe I will make a video on it though
@@JoeEdelmann3 it would be helpful! i have no idea how to do it. also is there a specific tuning he does for this.
Top top top, vous venez en France bientôt ? 😍
guillaume nous aimerions! (Hopefully google translate did me right...)
Joe Edelmann Google translate did it right, i look fwd your trip in France 🇫🇷.
how do you do the ringing guitar part towards the end? it looks like youre rubbing a pick on the string, is it up and down or left to right and do you fret the notes? so many questions haha
I think I’m gonna make a video about that technique! It’s actually the edge of a serrated coin, and you rub it on the strings at the fret spots without pushing the string down for a bowing type effect! There’s a lot of reverb added to fill out the sound as well.
nothing to envy to the basement version..
you are playing differently from their song book, right? any chance you have a tab of what you're playing on the lead guitar, that you could send me?
nicolas roque hmm, I think it was mostly the songbook, but Cory might have adjusted some of the coin work by ear. I didn’t make any tabs on this one unfortunately 😬 maybe I will though
Joe Edelmann oh really? in the song book the first chord is played on the 4th fret, i think you’re playing it somewhere around the 9th fret. If you do make a tab for it, let me know! Love the way you played this track
nicolas roque oh you mean Thoms part? I followed Warrenmusics tutorial for that one! m.ruclips.net/video/brTaeempivw/видео.html
Can't wait for Jigsaw
Jack Pettinger think you’re gonna dig it, even some surprises in store!
How did Chris get that sound after "voltage spikes"
IIRC I believe he was rapidly sliding his finger up the frets on one of the higher strings, with delay added!
I can’t help but notice you’re not using the ebow on jonny’s synth guitar, if im not mistaken what effect did you guys use??
AntoDB it’s actually a coin rubbed against the strings with a lot of reverb, that’s how Jonny does it! You can see it in live videos. That’s also how he does the spooky noises in Exit Music Live and the intro to High and Dry. Ed is usually the Ebow master of the band though.
Joe Edelmann Wow awesome man thanks!!!
👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻🤘🏼🎸
Didnt like it 😏😂
Brilliant as all ways. I would pay good money to hear you guys play.
bass sounds a bit messy - should be more muted and compressed I guess, the rest is great
How did you do Jonny's guitar part?
Martin Anthonio16 a boatload of reverb and the edge of a coin rubbed against the strings!
@@JoeEdelmann3 I'm guessing I need a reverb pedal to suffice for 'boatload'. Any entry level budget reverb pedals you can recommend?
Martin Anthonio16 well, not if your amp has a decent spring that you can turn all the way up, but that being said, the Boss RV-6, TC Electronic hall of fame or ehx oceans 11 are all good options!
@@JoeEdelmann3 I've heard good things about TC electronic's pedals, might get one soon. Spot on cover btw, great attention to the details
do you sell tabs for this?
Toppu for this one we used a combo of the Radiohead official in Rainbows tab book and Warren Musics tutorial! ruclips.net/video/brTaeempivw/видео.html
Those are NOT CHEAP GUITARS
Pro..where's your stuff
you were good at recreating the radiohead sounds, okay, but i'ts too similar to the original, it makes no sense to me
this is ridiculous
theres no difference between this cover and the original
Too prop
Immense. Great work!
