The BEST explanation of the attic scene so far. I think there are more layers to this movie but I think you've cracked the core of the attic's meaning and how it connects to the overarching plot (or lack thereof) that revolves Monas overwhelming control
Sure there more layers if YOU want there to be more layers, and then more layers beyond or "deeper" than that... quantum mechanics style. Except, unlike this subject, at some point quantum mechanics became useful, and many inventions came from it, and still more might come in the future... while this issue just keeps on for the sake of keeping on without ever a final or GOOD resolution, the more you dig, the nuttier you become, it seems.
I'm always pleasantly surprised when a film is unintentionally psychoanalytic. Bergman, Kubrick, and Lynch come to mind but I'm glad Aster is playing with these themes to give the freudo-lacanians more work to dissect. lovely video :)
I did, but I wasn't really enjoying it so I left. Seemed like more stress than it was worth. I might make a new one at some point, but I'd rather just focus on making good videos right now.
Worst movie ive ever seen
Why? Because of the ending?
Okay, you've figured out Beau's anxiety! Mine next, please.
Are you lacking lack?

I remember feeling when I was watching this movie that it would make for a great Lacanian analysis. Thank you for this!!
You're quickly becoming my favourite RUclipsr
Appreciate you
Great analysis. Thanks for that.

Wonderful video essay.
Amazing work
Interesting video. Basically just commenting for engagement, since I haven't actually seen the movie. Wonder how respected Lacan is today.
i am a neurotic and thank you for the analysis...
Wow
Didn't you used to have a Twitter? Did something happen to it?

I find psychoanalysis fascinating. Too bad it is the psychological equivalent of astrology.
