I'm glad there are more to come because PTX had me shook a lot more than 5 times. I have thought that Kirstin's voice has a hint of more warmth to it, although that is my own feeling when I try to identify which one is singing when I hear just the music.
Right there where youu stopped during the Mitch and Kirsty duet, what was that top high note. What is yor opinion, of, I see Mitch standing there hitting that note as easy as I eat cake, but Kirsty looks like she is straining to hit it. I think it's because she was belting, but I don't know. The only time I've ever seen Mitch have to work to hit a note was the last note in Defying Gravity. But even then it wasn't hard. I've watched a couple of video's on YT, I don't know to trust them or not, but most said Mitch's top note was a B7, and Kirsty was a Bflat7, just a half step under MItch. Is that believable or not. I don't know anything about octaves and I'm tone deaf, so notes mean nothing to me. I'm hoping you can tell me.
Kirstin's highest note is higher than Mitch's. Check "Seasons of Love". I am too tired right now to go through it but she worked with a vocal coach and now is definitely higher.
@@marykuettner752 Like I said, I didn't know if those video's could be trusted or not, so I asked. I believe what you are telling me. I agree Seasons of Love, she hit a note, but ini Defying Graavity Mitch it one to. I woulld like to know exactly what note they hit, I don't know if I wil ever hear someone analyze those songs, and I also feel I can trust their findings. Present company excluded. Thanks for the information
This was fun! I’m surprised they didn’t highlight Mitch’s highest note in Hallelujah and his last note in The Prayer. ❤
I agree with you, I would definitely have thought that Mitch’s notes were higher in both videos
Agreed!! Maybe part 2??
I love Matt's descending bass line in that section of Amazing Grace
Thank you for your information on the different techniques PTX uses and also explaining tambre (sp?). I like Matt's tambre. I look forward to more!
Very close. It's spelled timbre -- an i instead of an a, but based on pronunciation your guess is is excellent 😃

So good!
I probably say this every time, but only because it’s true. I so appreciate how you explain music. Thank you. Peace …
I really appreciate you!!
Love this. Thank you.
So glad!
Yo! A Kiss From A Rose!
I think Kevin hits a G5 in Kiss from a Rose. The D5 in Sound of Silence was Kirstin. Her notes are in red. Mitch is in yellow.
Wild!!
Dynamics can make or break a group.
Absolutely!!!
