- Jane paints a fall landscape using brilliant shades of yellow and orange that make the painting come to life. Follow along as she demonstrates and explains how she creates birch trees, pine trees and more. There are additional classes for sale at her website, JaneSlivkaGallery.com/shop. She also incudes a basic list of her favorite paint colors and the brushes she likes to use when painting.
I would love some 'real time' videos of you just painting. In one video you said you are painting faster than you normally do for us-- or something like that. I would love to see you paint without us in your head. From beginning to completion of a painting. It doesn't even have to have any talking. I just love to watch you paint!! YOU are amazing!!!!
Thank you for the suggestion. Appreciate the input. I do have classes availabe for purchase at my website, JaneSlivkaGallery.com/shop, which are longer than the tutorials that are on RUclips.
Tomorrow, I am buying 2 classes!!!! I read the FAQ about paypal and being able to use my visa....... i've forgotten my paypal info....😊
Old habits are sometimes hard to break but watching your videos have definitely helped me to LOOSEN UP! Thank you for sharing your incredible videos!❤️

I love paintings like this! I try to paint loosely but it’s a challenge for me. Your painting style and techniques inspire me to give it another try! Love your work!
You can do it!
How unbelievably simple and beautiful your paintings are! I painted with acrylics for years, then lost some interest until I saw your fabulous quick and easy method of painting florals and tree scenes! I’m definitely going to follow your magical approach to painting colorful scenes! Thank you so much! Sheila

Brilliant you’re a fantastic teacher and I find it so relaxing to watch you paint.
Love love the loose style thanks for the videos . ❤❤
Thanks so much for your comment.
Jane, you have to keep these videos coming, they are beautiful!!! I do appreciate the effort to bring us these wonderful energetic works of art. I'm doing a lot of small paintings for the upcoming season, is it possible to use this method on smaller canvases. I've taken up doing little rabbits, pumpkins, etc to sell and I didn't know how a cute little bunny would look painted loosely as I'm so used to the tight precise way
Go for it. Any subject matter can work with this style. So much can be said with just a few brush strokes.
Thank you Jane and Jane ❤
You are most welcome. Thank you for watching.
Lovely Jane,I see you extended the house too! Love it! 😘❤️❤️❤️👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻

Very interesting painting 💚👏💚
Thank you very much!
Absolutley fantastic👍
Thank you! Glad you enjoyed it!
I love the red underpainting..somehow it makes the colors so vibrant or deep. You are so helpful with less precise strokes. Im doing this painting on a 30"×30"...excited to see the result.😊tks Jane
You are so welcome! Have fun with your painting.
what impresses me the most is how careless you apply the paint and make the composition to be so lively, Cheers
Thank you for commenting. I appreciate your remark.

Gorgeous painting 🎉😊❤ Thank you
You are welcome!
I really love this and love watching you. You are so good at explaining as you paint…thank you.
Could you tell me why you don’t paint from the distance to the front…like putting in the sky…lake first?
This is beautiful! Thank you for sharing…..
Charlotte
Watch my video, "Why Negative Painting can be a Positive Thing." I explain why I like to paint from front to back.
Love, love, love!!! I know people want to see up close. I got a little dizzy with ALL the movement of the camera.😊 Maybe set the camera more to the side? I don't know. I just felt like I lost a little of your amazing work by sort of 'chasing ' your strokes. But, I still love, love, love it!!!
P.s. - what time are you uploading tomorrow's video?
Noted! We are still a work in progress in the filming department.
Oh , I know, and I am definitely never criticizing....just noting. And I know comments are supposed to help??!!?? your channel??!!?? Not really sure.
And, i DO love the up close....i just get dizzy easily. ...😂😂
so nice, new subscriber 👍👏😍
Thank you and welcome to my channel.!
Love it ❤
Thank you!
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Thank you!
شكرا ❤🙏
مرحباً بك!
Do you do or have any exercises that helped you create your looseness?
And on average, how many times do you come back to a canvas- after letting it dry -to add more depth/details?
Ive been looking at your paintings online. You just have so much variety. I think it would be great if you had a video....of just photographs of your past works. I just love your work and cant wait to take your classes!
Thank you so much!!!
I don't do any exercises, other than painting, to create looseness in my strokes. I return to the painting at least three times, sometimes two, after the drying process.
Jane, do you use an extender to keep your first layer wet? Or maybe your brush is really wet. I can’t keep mine wet for very long - I live in Arizona.
I don't use an extender, but I do use a lot of water and paint.
Love your paintings. For xmas Im going to buy a tutorial...what paint brands for the colors are you using? Golden and/or Liquitex? thanks
Thank you! I like to use Liquitex Heavy Body acrylic paints. Enjoy your tutorial and have fun.
I love your style. What brand of acrylic paint do you use.? Is it heavy body?
Thank you! I like to use Liquitex Heavy Body Acrylic Paint.
Do you have an Amazon page or another store where all your most commonly used and recommended items can be purchased? I know you've listed your colors on the workshop page. Do you use only Liquitex? Thanks again!!! SO love your work!!❤
We do not have an Amazon page as yet. I use other paints but I tend to stick with Liquitex Heavy Body Acrylic. Try Cheapjoes.com for art supplies.
Do you gesso your canvas before you put your first coat on
I purchased canvases that have already been gessoed.
P.s. - what time are you uploading tomorrow's video?😊🙃❤❤❤
We are lucky to one new tutorial out per week.
Just kidding....I know. I would just love to sit back and watch you think/paint. So love your style and the brilliance of your colors you get. You make it look SO EASY!!!!!❤❤❤❤❤
What medium do you use
I usually use Liquitex Heavy Body Acrylic paints.
