    Thankful for the video. I did one up by going to the auto parts store and bought me an add a circuit fuse 7.5 amp and a baby terminal clip to connect to the blue wire that he was describing. All that I had to do was splice the blue wire and remove the old 7.5 amp fuse and added the add a circuit fuse to it and it worked out great. This video was very helpful. Thank you

    Your advice lead me to cleaning the fuse. And that's all it took. But thank you for a starting point.

    Thank you so much! It did solve same issue with my 2004 Prius.
    I just want to add that when you are connecting wire to the 7.5 Amp fuse, be sure to connect it to the terminal towards the passenger side of the car. In other words to the output side of the fuse. This way you are still using the fuse in case there is a short or overload in the system. If you connect it to the driver side of the fuse, you would be bypassing the fuse. It would still work, but it won't be properly protected and in case of a short somewhere, might catch fire.
    And you need to splice in to the fourth wire on the top row of the connector (counting from passenger side to the driver side, while connector plugged in) color coded blue.

      Hey my 2005 Toyota Prius won’t go into drive or reverse only neutral. Is the shift lever the reason why ? Let me know please

    • @romgar200

      @@danieldeshommes4167 There could be many different reasons for this, shift lever is least likely of them all. You need to diagnose with a scan tool to see what the trouble codes are. It will point you in the right direction.

    I never had this problem but thanks a lot for the video. I have no doubt it's coming at some point. This damn car has a lot of little manufacturing quality quirks like this. I have a whole page-long list of em! But as for the power train, It never dies lol. the engine and transmission outlast the odometer.

    Hi Graeme thanks for taking your time to watch my first video. I ve uploaded another video to throw more light on the first video and also based on your request. Do not hesitate to check it out and let me know if that was helpful.

      Thanks! That second video helps. I found the blue wire in the top row and it's in the 4th port from the left; with 8 ports across. My prius is a 2008 second gen, so I'm pretty sure the fuse box is the same. Did you put the new blue wire in the 4th port from the left in the top row?

    • @emmanuelb.882
      @emmanuelb.882  7 лет назад

      Yes Graeme that's exactly what I did.

    • @emmanuelb.882
      @emmanuelb.882  7 лет назад

      Graeme don't forget the other end of your new wire goes into your P CON Main. Just pull out the 7.5A if its the same number or even if different, and put your wire in there and then push the 7.5A back in so it holds the end of your new wire in place.

      Luke B
      Hi Luke i do apologize for the quality of my video. Actually it was the first of its kind but if u can open fuse, i joint one end of the wire to the 7.5A P CON and the other end to where all the wires in the fuse connect. As you can see, all wires are color-code. In my case, the blue wire is the one that connects to the transmission mechanism. Let me know if you still need help i will make a short video to sho u where its connecting.
