Ben and I were both the first ambassadors for Tiktok in 2019 and it’s crazy to see how much he’s grown! He’s always been so unique and a creative talent! Not even surprised slightly by his success! Congrats Ben!
I was really impressed by how intelligent and well-spoken he is. He also has strong critical thinking skills, and it shows in his commentary on his content. This was a particularly interesting interview.
Man, really been gleaning a lot from ya’ll’s conversations with creators. Super helpful content as I try to grow and effectively use this platform. Plus it’s entertaining!
I took a peek on his channel and it's a contrast to him on this interview. He's a much sensible young man in this episode. Learned new things as a creator. Nice episode! :)
Great job guys! Really appreciate the openness and humility that everyone showed. Once a creative, always a creative. And no one can take that away from us.
Thank you for introducing us old millennials to this amazing person! I love the level of respect you guys have for each other and how you know you can learn from one another. This conversation was so refreshing!
I loved this interview. Ben is so thoughtful and articulate. I am really impressed with how well he is aware of the industry and what success means to him. Great work, Ben and good luck for everything in the future!
Love to see Ben on here! Definitely didn’t expect that, what a lovely suprise and conversation, i love how you guys dove into conversations about sides on the internet that Ben grew up on. Being the same age as Ben i can heavily relate and understand the climate that used to be on youtube. Also Ben is a treat to the eyes and the absolute cutest!! Awsome video :)❤
the part about dropping out was so interesting. As someone in journalism today, It's SO nice to have the resources to grow in the industry. I am taking social media CLASSES, listening to AI developers, and learning different styles of film and storytelling to be able to grow my brand. I would highly recommend Journalism or Communications for someone wanting to go to college for Social Media.
i have doubts about committing so much time to a video every time i have no clue who the featured guest is, and every time those doubts are proven wrong. thanks for sharing this conversation, and i look forward to more interviews!
Ben saying "this was such a dream" and then having your interview with Dream pop up at the end was A+ work and I really appreciate the dedication to the edit 😂
The vegan teacher video of Ben’s was actually the first of his I watched, it was super refreshing & inspiring to see that storytelling/doc style content on YT. wh! :)
Benoftheweek's content always can give me a laugh, his content goes crazy lol. you've outdone yourselves this time Colin and Samir! We've missed u guys :D
I’m literally a 44 yo goth and this guy is fucking hilariously surreal, there is a lot about his comedy that reminds me of alternative British comedy of the 90s. Absurd & dark humour. The Drama Mama channel he has is also a great channel for teens to watch, he’s a sensible, decent role model for teens, unlike a lot of popular creators.
I just want to say that as a 30 year old man, I wish I had gotten my act together enough to have made a RUclips channel. I've got one hell of a story to tell that's forsure. Went from fighting the Taliban to being a full blown opiate addict and all I want in life is to help my fellow addicts. This might have just motivated me to start my own channel. I'm not looking for money or anything, I just want more for my life.
What does you being 30 have to do with anything???30 is not old I hate how people think 30 is old very messed up being 30 is not a cripple either you still have a brain and mind that works plus hands that can do the work so get down to work
you guys manage to steer my attention towards emerging and developed internet cultures and sub-cultures in ways I didn't realise this style of video possibly could! from Binging with Babish to Mr Beast to BENOFTHEWEEK (never heard of him), I find myself compelled to watch your videos. Great work, thanks for sharing!
I liked his comment about not becoming too business minded as a creative. I feel like Samir has been very into the money making side, asking guests lots of questions about their finances (for example Deestroying) and brainstorming new ways to monetize. Don't focus too much on money and stay creative :)
ben is such an easy going soul (sometimes, he can be very chaotic haha) his content brings such a brightening smile to everyone who encounters his funny yet questionable but hilarious videos 😊😎.
It's also very close to standup where punch lines are cheap ways to deliver comedy. Even in modern skits the punchline is just a way to end the skit and rarely there to make you laugh.
I started watching Ben on Tiktok back in 2019. The best videos for me are the cactus video and the one of the microwave explosion 😂😂😂 I just love Ben, such a creative guy! (This coming from a Millennial)
I'm just wondering - if Ben doesn't really use brand deals, what would the appeal be for a management company? Genuine question, just wondering what else a management team would bring!
LOVE U BEN!!! his content and editing is genuinely so damn good and entertaining, also this interview was so good, I sometimes forget that older generations prob won't understand most of these videos, especially cuz again some fo them are "inside jokes" on social media but not really "inside jokes" that only few people know about, but yk, memes songs, again this whole side of media where everyone just know that one mom or that one person, but there's almost no millennials and up on there so like, yeah lol, like for example the "you ladies alright" ref, a meme ig u could say surfing the internet rn or fx the vegan teacher like if I asked my mom if she knew who these people were or showed her a meme of a TikTok where guys are saying "he is me I am him" to a vid of Ryan gosling, she prob wouldn't understand. lol di that make sense
I dont know if you are into live streams, but Ben started doing them again a while ago. He also is pretty calm and less hyper there. I really enjoy them and I also listen to his podcasts.
thank you so much for not only having me on but also brewing the most delicious chai tea i have experienced :’)
no ben of the month
ALSO ITS NOT CHAI TEA ITS JUST CHAI, WHY ARE YOU SAYING TEA-TEA. and you are even half indian :(
Thanks for the thoughts, Ben ❤️

It’s so weird to see Ben so serious and calm and not crazy 😂
seeing ben being calm is so weird.. im so used to crazy..
u should listen to drama mama he’s still kinda crazy but the topics he talks abt are like so interesting
Won't find a smarter, funnier, more talented, creator than Ben. So happy y'all featured him!!

I'm so proud of him
Just imagine how younger Ben would like react how much his chanell grew

The "unalive" bit with Colin not understanding had me in stitches .. too funny!!!💛
Unalive actually is used to replace the word suicide on TikTok.
Right? It reminded me of that one drama mama episode
I won’t lie, this is the only, if not one of the few channels where I watch each episode till the end, always an interesting conversation to take in
Thank you for introducing us old millennials to this amazing person! I love the level of respect you guys have for each other and how you know you can learn from one another. This conversation was so refreshing!
This was such a different side of Ben....hearing his whole thought process on everything was really insightful
I loved this interview. Ben is so thoughtful and articulate. I am really impressed with how well he is aware of the industry and what success means to him. Great work, Ben and good luck for everything in the future!

Gen-z humor = the premise.
