You can set the booster to not auto repeat, and set your shield alarm to the level of your max shield minus one rep cycle. Then the game will always growl at you every time it's time to boost. Less overrepping.

i tried this fit. First filament gave me goons in a Bhaal, Praixs and Hurricane, so i ran way.
Killed a Tengu for a grand total of 1.2 bill after the next filament.

I once had a moa with combat probes... it was never a good idea for the ship. I'm glad you came up with a better one.

I always found the Moa to be great on paper but the tracking issues makes it very situation specific. Outside of those parameters and you are in trouble real fast.

What makes the Moa so much better than the Thorax tho?
The tank buff instead of tracking & xlasb+ shield boost amp?
Its not so much outright better as situationally better.
Moa can put out tank numbers a Thorax dreams of, and can still get pretty equal dps (drone diff).
Plus it has for a very long time had a rep for being a shit-ship (because it really was). Not sure about its rep these days, but I remember when they did the cruiser overhaul, day1 of release I slaughtered several billion in hulls because people wildly underestimated what a Moa could do.

In fight against ishtars you should not have auto-reload on and had a repper active without boosters. Maybe you had a chance there and you blew it.
sadly the booster does have an activation cost of 1214 GJ without a charge :/ I did not have that amount of cap at the time and thats why it automatically went into reload
@@KaiserFriedlich One thing to keep in mind and I didn't see if you did or not, but stop heating your dps when they're using their ADCU, you're already not going to be doing dps to them so save your heat for after :)

Part of the mechanics of being in the ESS is a 75km-radius Warp Interdiction field around the tower. You can't warp while in that bubble.
When in regular combat situations is hard to catch that when your managing your modules trying to live.
