I thought they were good, I just think the shells weren't ever seasoned enough to offset the combined taste of the meat and other toppings. And if you had sour cream, the flavor was instantly neutralized with every bite. I liked the Fiery one as it had the most flavor, but in all reality, that little bit of seasoned shell wasn't enough to keep me paying an extra 30-40¢ per taco.
My friend works at Taco Bell here in PR and I visit from time to time and can confirm the Doritos Locos Tacos and Cool Ranch still are available since launch. The Caramel Empanada is also still here. Now the rest I can agree that aren't.

I worked at the Piqua, Ohio Taco bell for over 10 years (2001-2012), and I miss the Grande soft taco, caramel apple empanada, waffle tacos and a few others. One thing I am glad it is gone is shrimp tacos. That was a pain to prepare and make for the customer because of the need to change gloves and other precautions.
I worked at Taco bell in 2000 and again in 2008 and taco Bell was trash. I don't see why anybody eats that shit. I could see if it was Taco Bell back from the 80s when they actually used to cook the meat in the stores and shred their own cheese and cut their own lettuce but ever since the owners sold the company to yum Taco Bell has been garbage.

They have a Flaming Hot Dorito Locos taco just realeased a couple weeks ago. The shell is hotter than the fiery Chile lime used to be. You can also get the double decker. Ask for a crunchy with a side of small soft shell tortilla and beans. Tell them to build it like the double decker. Since your ordering it in the side in the menu option, they have to make for you. The enchiredo however we cant make. There is no way we can ring it up. Plus, no one at the company ever liked making them.
I actually preferred that over the Chalupa because they would often fry the chalupa she'll too long and it be extra hard, but you couldn't go wrong with the gordita soft shell.

You missed one major menu item. The Steakhouse Burrito. in 2017 or 2018, I forget which, the Steakhouse craze hit, and there were two items Taco Bell had, the Steakhouse Nachos and the Steakhouse Burrito. I absolutely LOVED the steakhouse burrito. I would order two of them each time I went. But after the promotion ended, they never brought it back, even though the Steakhouse Nachos eventually did return. I've never had a better meal at Taco Bell.

Another thing that is gone is the Kids Meals. They had some pretty good toys when I was growing up but then when they cut the cost on the toys it became crap and then kids no longer wanted the Kids Meal. There was also the Choco Taco. While the Choco Taco wasn’t a Taco Bell Exclusive but it did change the recipe a little bit. You also can’t get a Combination Burrito anymore. You have to like get a bean burrito and add beef for an extra charge.
