As far as I understand, as a start everyone should go with cloud engineering role than devops why because compannies look for expert level devops engineers they will never go with a freshers. And as a cloud engineer, there are possibilities that they hire freshers as well.
Thanks alot for this Soleyman, very apt indeed!! Been learning devops for 6 months, only recently started learning Cloud using Azure for now, Would you advise I start with AWS first?
For a guy who have had education in IT in the past and working in MNC is Tech support roles, if wants to pick either Devops or Cloud Engineer which one should I go with? If to learn from scratch
How I wish you have on-the-job training/bootcamp or program where you mentor people on all they need to practice as a cloud engineer or devops Engineer, I would have loved to enroll but I doubt if you have any.
I am prod app support more than 10+ yrs, which one I can choose ? I like stay in techie role but if I read also not understanding the concepts like orchestration. Yaml, dockers? What I can I do to continue growth in IT….
Hi im Sid from odisha India. im from non-tech background as i graduated in Bcom since 2016 and was into my family business. Now that my family business is closed due to the pandemic , I am really interested in Devops and cloud computing.. Is it too late for me as im 30years old with no experience in any field ? also do the companies hire devops fresher with career gap?? please suggest what to do
Good day, thanks so much for explaining this difference between a cloud engineer and a devops engineer. So my question is can study devops without coding and then move on to cloud engineering.
Hi Soley, I want to get into the path of cloud security, I have knowledge of cybersecurity, hacking and programming with python, I have never worked in IT, my plan is to start with aws partitioner, and then continue with solution arch and then sec, do you think I could get into some work? My doubt, is if I have to do some SOC path (blue team) or directly I go for cloud, and the last doubt is if I need to do comptia sec+ (I have the knowledge from other courses, but I can't afford the price of the certification for the moment) or with aws partitioner is it ok? Thank you very much for your time.
I am from India, i am a under graduation final year student, how to get cloud engineer jobs,,and what is the future scope, and what can learn (aws or azure or Google cloud) please suggest me, how to get jobs please help me

@@khwaishvyas2590 the cloud native CICD tool doesn’t have as much flexibility like Jenkins and other open sourced tools like GitOps Action (Argo CD) or Gitlab… which gives you more functionalities and are cloud agnostic for container orchestration, it depends on how hands-on you want to get with your clusters… But if you’re in the cloud, it’s best to use the managed Kubernetes services.

From you explanation it is clear that a cloud engineer needs to go through DevOps, may be not too deep.
After watching it just confirmed, for me, that devops is the career path for me.

Very good explanation , subscribed right away. Is DevOps engineer expected to take responsibility of security too ( like cloud engineer ) ?
So Devops is software development without only the actual code development?
