I had a problem using my kapex 120 regarding setting depth of cut. The manual gave clear instructions but I had misread them and this video answered my questions. Tony

Now I have another reason to sell my big Bosch Compound Miter Saw. Dadoes and accuracy. My Bosch is out between a 32 and a 64th of an inch over 11 or 12 inches. I’ve adjusted this saw until I’m blue in the face. Nice Demo thanks
Hi Geoff. I too moved over from a Bosch, which was a good saw, but the Festool is much more enjoyable to use, and more accurate.
It would be nice if miter saws were accurate. Sliders and non sliders. They are just not. Makita and dewalt and hitachi. But I just bought a kapex so we’ll see.

Very important it doesn't matter which machine.the best you can do buy always a Slide Compound Mitre Saw with the handle in a line above the saw blade,everything has to be in line Slide bar rails,handle,and saw blade. it's better no tilt saw blade, and engine with softstart .
Handle vertical or horizontal above saw blade is okay if it is in line above the saw blade and in line with slide bar.Everything has to be in line this is important.example bosch gcm 800 sj / gcm 8 slj professiona / Evolution rage 3 / FESTOOL KS 60 / EVOLUTION RAGE R255 sms...
What dust collection setup do you have? How did you connect 2 1/2 inch hose to the dust port
Hi, I currently have one of those old 1HP bag extractors at the moment. I used rubber tape and a hose clamp to adapt the hose to the saw outlet. At some point I will get rid of this system and go to something with a HEPA filter.

Great tool! As the blade is really irrelevant, it’s the kerf it makes that is crucial, wouldn’t you be better making a cut in timber then use calipers on that?
Hi, I can see why you say that, It is logical, but to get a tight fit, I ended up reducing the the gap to slightly less than the blade anyway. The width of the blade should be ever so slightly narrower than the kerf. No matter how good the blade is, there is going to be a tiny bit of run-out.

dado blades do exist you know
Not every table saw will take dado blades.
Repeat after me. SAW SAW SAW there is no R in saw. It’s a saw not a SAWR
It sounds to me like I am saying saw. Perhaps you just pronounce the W a lot shorter than I do. Now I really want to hear how you pronounce saw.
That’s what our accent sounds like in Australia champ.
