- This video will show you how to use the crown stops and support board for the KAPEX KS 120 sliding compound miter saw from Festool.
Man I have to say, this is the least elegant solution I’ve seen on a Festool yet. A single piece of t-track between the extensions and saw on each side is all it would take.
The problem with just clamping the scrap board as shown at 7:27 is that is just held by friction. Clamping the Crown creates forward movement which causes the cuts in the spoil board to shift. You can see the misaligned cut at 7:36

now i think gonna buy the " crown stops", in german called "Winkelabstützung AB-KA-UG/2" ! ;)
Just follow these 82 steps and its that easy!
No kidding! Love the saw, but this attachment is unnecessarily complicated. I'll pass!
you can install extensions in oposit sides and that will give you edge to res your crown

can i use the crown stop with out the wings?
So we have the capability to cut tall crown at the chop setting. But to see the laser we have to disable the special chop setting.
