This could go either way. Sailor Moon and Saint Seiya are legit two of the most broken/OP characters in anime. Really don't know which way to lean on this one since they both have ridiculous feats.
I’ve heard that Seiya wins because he has the speed to dodge most of Usagi’s attacks and has the power to defeat her as well. Don’t know much about their hax but Usagi has concept erasure and I haven’t heard of Seiya having a resistance to that so Usagi could kill him if she gets a hit in, even if it’s unlikely she will.
@@treehouseoffun1242 Seiya has resisted that before in the film Saint Seiya: Overture the main villain Apollo tried that and it didn't work as both Seiya, and Saori/Athena were still alive. Plus Seiya has so many haxes isn't even funny in fact since DB goes with most powerful version that means it's Seiya with the Pegasus God Cloth who is strong enough to deal decent damage to Hades, one shot-both the egotistical god of death Thanatos who destroyed one-million universes, and Thanatos's more intelligent brother Hypnos the god of sleep, and can create his own miracles, yeah Seiya with the Pegasus God Cloth can basically through sheer willpower create miracles.

@@treehouseoffun1242SS characters could destroy dryads which are literal concepts brought to life and that's their normal attacks,all the gods like Hades or Athena are also conceptual beings and Seiya has stuff like god Killing weapons that Can harm or kill them
@@chapellegillian9426 I still can’t find any information on if those guys are conceptual beings. They sure are way stronger, and probably durable and faster, than anything in sailor moon but I can’t find anything about them being conceptual beings. What I constantly find is existence erasure and resistance/immunity to existence erasure. Is there a possible source for that information? Though if it’s in the manga or anime, I’ll probably not go looking for it.
Back from the dead after having fallen ill for a couple days and feeling like actually dying and right in time for yet another Magical Girl track. So far those have been without fault really freaking good and something tells me this one is no exception.
While I do think that Moon VS Madoka would be more interesting as a Death Battle, I do think Seiyar VS Moon is far from an uninteresting MU especially since it involves two massively iconic anime franchises (Saint Seiyar isn't groundbreakingly popular in the west as a whole but in my native country, France, it has had a massive impact during the original anime wave the country's had making it quite notable for me despite having never seen or read it) so I was really looking forward to listening to this track.
And to I think nobody's surprise it seems this one is no exception to what I said earlier because this song definitely is really cool. While of course one could easily compare it to Moonlight Magica, it still manages to stand out as unique and interesting by itself due to being extremely different in a way that doesn't make it feel inferior either. While Moonlight Magica feels much more majestic and generally emotional, this one takes on a more "classic heroic anime song" style which fits really well. It's energetic, it's upbeat and it's got quite iconic and catchy melodies all throughout its duration. Some may say that this makes it "boring" but I think not firstly because it just sounds really nice and secondly because if there's any matchup or franchises that have any right to sound like "classic heroic anime song" then it's those two which means that there's absolutely no fault to it.
Besides, it's not at all as if the song doesn't do anything to stand out by itself, far from it. Not only does it, as said earlier, have a very catchy tone to it that makes it memorable by default but it also does something that's very appreciable in the fact that it combines both really good progression and really nice variety in general. As far as variety goes it's pretty much what you'd expect to keep a song varied that helps it be as such: variation of instruments, intensity and melodies resulting in segments that are good without overstaying their welcome with fitting breaks inbetween them that help keep the listener engaged and wanting to listen to the rest of the song.
But where this comes into play the most and where the song shines the most in my opinion is the progression. At first the song has a very upbeat and joyful feeling to it but as it progresses it slowly gets more and more serious and high scale which of course fits a fight such as this one. Now this is a pretty standard progression but as said before this feeling of being standard fits really well especially with how well-executed it is. It feels completely natural with the "true" shift from joyful to serious happening progressively during the solo starting at 2:41 and culminating at 3:20 where the shift fully happens and even if it keeps that upbeat and heroic feeling, it truly feels like a change into something much more serious, one that's very well executed.
And where the song could have simply continued on its course as it already was set, instead it changes once again at 3:54 with a surprising complete stop. Now I don't know much of Sailor Moon (yet) or Saint Seiya (yet²) so I can't exactly tell if this break is supposed to represent one specific transition in particular but even if it doesn't it's easy to imagine it as a "generic" pre-climax break where both characters gather their strength and ready their strongest forms/attacks to end the battle. And that break does it really well too because it builds up tension and apprehension really well without losing that feeling of heroism or hope at any point, making it all the more impactful when the song resumes at 4:17 with the same catchy and powerful guitar that was heard before, this time mixing more than ever the serious grand scale and joyful upbeat feeling it had before that. Now I'll admit I do think this whole entire last segment could have gone even harder (how ? I can't exactly tell given I'm no composer, also because it's 1AM and this review is already long enough) but even as it is now I think it does a venerable job at what it strives to do and it's definitely quite enjoyable so I can't fault it too much for that. It's a solid conclusion to a solid song making it everything that's needed for a song to be good.
Overall this track is a nice one for sure. If I were to compare it to Moonlight Magica directly (which isn't the best of ideas due to how different both songs are, I know), I'd say I prefer this one's consistency because it keeps a similar level of quality throughout its duration but I prefer Moonlight Magica's second half and ending because it goes more all out. Does that mean one is better than the other outright ? Of course not. I think I personally prefer Moonlight Magica more overall but at the end of the day it's purely subjective as both songs are very singular and unique meaning they're not redundant with one another; they both fill similar but different niches that make them appreciable in their own ways so prefer whichever you like most. This one feels more like a classic anime song with a few twists onto it that befit the series it features and that's for the better. That combined with its really good execution as a whole along with its really solid progression and catchy melodies make it a song that's definitely enjoyable in general and that's in no way redundant with nor supersedes its "predecessor". Amazing job as always with this for sure.
And with Sailor vs Madoka and Sailor vs Seiya arrive... Madoka vs Sakura approaches closer.

Well Usagi is dead due to how busted Seiya is seriously he is one of the most over-powered Shonen protagonists ever. Anyone who is familiar with Saint Seiya knows how OP is Seiya is.
If Seiya's speed is finite, then it'd be bad for him. The Sailor Moon Universe is infinite in size and Usagi's attacks have reached all of space-time. She also reached the Corridor of Space-Time which is outside of space-time and is only accessible via time travel

So Goat Masux is the actual commissioner tho i did help a tad for the cost (he did most got to point that one out) but he's sadly in class at the moment of the track coming out.
The track is fucking fantastic it injects 80/90's old school fun and epic anime ultimate good cosmic hero "We are gonna be riding on the side of all things good in the entirety of fiction with this one" vibes straight into your veins,you can imagine some of the most nonsensical ability being thrown around in space (View The Sasuke vs Hiei scene but instead of a Susano it's a kaiju cat fighting against an horde of cosmo energy dragons that kinda level of what the hell stuff) and all coupled with some truly Might Guy vs All Might levels of wholesome dialogues.
Seiya is one of my favorite Shonen protagonist and Usagi is an equally as goated main character so it truly was great to help make that classic anime match possible here.

Pretty good track though I'm not sure what ost this has referenced on for either character if there is even any.
It might hit different once the vocal is out. I guess it's also the first Saint Seiya track so that's cool, we might see something soon for seiyas protege as well.
Also Usagi is underselled very hard here as this fight is pretty close and Usagi has very solid hax to net her the win. I doubt stats would matter much here as they're very much comparable with both being universal to low multiversal and with speed that can encompass a universe and even through other dimensions.
about time Saint Seiya got a comission, and honestly, while I like Sailor Moon vs Madoka or Sakura, this is my preferred MU for both.
