those are really neat guitars. Many years ago I had a Hagstorm Viking 72' (natural finish) for about year, & then sold it. That's one of the two or three guitars I regret selling today.

Ah yes, so many guitars I regret selling (probably more I regret not buying though). I'll be reviewing a few more Hagstroms going forward so stay tuned for that. Thanks for watching and commenting!

Fantastic guitars. I own a Swede and a Viking and the quality of the guitars are exceptional.

I like the colour! I also think the new composite fretboard material is a good way forward for all guitars.

Yeah, it's not a colour I would usually pick but it's really nice in person. I also agree that composite is the way to go. On paper you kind of think "really? do I want that?" but when you've got the guitar in your hands you don't even consider it. It looks great and works great.

Thanks for a great review. This model is advertised as having a very thin neck I like thin necks, but 17 mm might be too much (or less) for this guitar. How does the it feel?

Seems strange to me why you would buy a mid priced guitar, just to spend more money on upgrading the pickups. Just buy the guitar that ticks all the boxes in the first place. I have no problems with Hagstrom guitars, even if they are assembled in China, but like any guitar it is best to try before you buy, even Gibson has let a few train wrecks get through over the years.
