  • If you want mini shells and can't find them or are not willing to pay the high price... here's an easy solution.

    Whats wrong with modifying the factory wad? I'm a newbie

      The whole idea here was to make them shorter and to change from bird shot to something more substantial. For the .625 steel ball the wad I used accomplishes both. That green wad acts as a sabo. Since the ball is steel you don't want I bouncing down your barrel unprotected. You probably saw me pull the two halves apart which will help that wad fall away faster so as not to impede or affect the flight of the projectile once it leaves the barrel. Shorter shells make for more rounds in the magazine tube. Thanks for the comment.

      I think what he's asking is why can't you modify the existing cup and spacer to do the same thing as the green sabo.
      Then you save having to buy that. I'm also new to this. I'm having trouble even finding the mini slug shells.

      @@seeharvester Mini shells are very hard to find and over priced. That's why we do this. The federal 2 part wads were just not ever going to work for me so this was my solution.
