Redressing the Fashion Industry: Orsola de Castro at TEDxLondonBusinessSchool 2013

- Orsola de Castro, an up-cycling pioneer and mom of four, is bringing awareness to green fashion - the belief that turning 'waste to fashion' can foster healthy attitudes on sustainability in fashion. She began up-cycling in 1997 with her original label, From Somewhere. She and her partner, Filippo Ricci, later launched Esthetica under the British Fashion Council, to nurture young designers in thinking and creating sustainably. Recently, Orsola created Reclaim To Wear, ' a collaborative arm of her label', resulting in collaborations with retail giants like ASOS and Topshop.
In the spirit of ideas worth spreading, TEDx is a program of local, self-organized events that bring people together to share a TED-like experience. At a TEDx event, TEDTalks video and live speakers combine to spark deep discussion and connection in a small group. These local, self-organized events are branded TEDx, where x = independently organized TED event. The TED Conference provides general guidance for the TEDx program, but individual TEDx events are self-organized.* (*Subject to certain rules and regulations)

I'm so happy that i've accidentally came across this video, for this is exactly what i'm doing in my workshop, not knowing that actually someone is doing it on such a great level. Thank you, Mrs Orsola, now my dream is extended to meet you . :)
