I followed the pelican parts and Bentley instructions which only detail removal of the Fuel pump (passenger side) and simply say "Fuel level sender (Driver) is similar but no pump." Needless to say I was confused by the extra fuel hose in the tank. Thank you for demonstrating how to unclip it! That was really helpful

@@zonamerahmuda1727 dulu sebelum ganti FLS sy pernah nyoba pertolongan pertama dg membersihkan track naik turunnya pelampung dg penghapus pensil, tapi usahanya gagal om :). Untuk FLS (kiri) memang tidak ada pompanya om, yg ada hanya disebelah kanan
Is it supposed to have any fuel pressure in that return line. Mine didnt and i was wondering if i had a weak pump or collapsed return hose. The problem i have is fuel not transferring from left to right., through the syphon pump.
Menentukan bagian yg mananya agak tricky ya om. Kanan dan kiri sama2 ada sensor ketinggiannya. Selain itu yg kerusakan bisa berasal dari fuel indikator di instrument clusternya sendiri sudah error. Cek jg sikring dan kelistrikan. Tetapi kalau mau gambling, bisa mengganti yg fuel level sender ini, kalaupun salah prediksi, anggap saja sekalian peremajaan part. Pada akhirnya keputusan balik lg ke omnya
@@RafleeRosli Honestly i don't know why BMW engineers made 2 fuel level sender (FLS). In my opinion, there is 2 FLS because the fuel tank shape is not fully tube (there is concave shape in the middle), when the fuel already in certain height they will be separate. So, there is two fuel region right side and left side. To know the height from each side then FLS is used. i've read if the left and right FLS units are wired in series and the fuel gauge receives a signal that is the average of the two FLS input values. CMIIW
Hi, after sitting about 6 months my e36 (engine m43b16) cranks, but wont start. It has spark also i changed fuel pump with fuel filter, but that doesnt solved my car problem. Relays all good. Before sitting car was in good condicion i didnt had any issues with starting engine. Also with some starter fluid car starts but it dies imiadiately. What else can i check?
Slykstyne Petras honestly it's hard to make prediction. Try to check the battery, is it in good condition. Check your spark plug spark, if the spark is not good, i think you must check the crank shaft sensor. The right way is diagnose using a bmw scan tool

FLS dulu belinya di toko offline om, kalau online coba di tokpednya berdikari motors. Untuk selang konektor panjang itu sy belum pernah ganti om. Kalau nyoba nyari coba tanyakan jg ke berdikari, atau coba nyari copotannya
Om mau tanya. saya punya masalah yang sama nih. indikator ngaco padahal blm isi bensin. pas kontak on kadang setengah lebih trus ga lama dipakai jalan turun. setelah berhenti dikontak on lagi ada 1/4 dan dibawa jalan kadang naik lagi dan terus turun lagi. begitu aja terus. apakah harus ganti 2 2 nya om yang kiri dan juga kanan ? Makasih om pencerahannya.
Om e36 saya tangki kiri kanan kok ga sama ya , yang sebelah kanan ( yg ga ada pompa ) bensinnya lebih banyak dari pada sebelah kiri dan malahan saat bensin rest tangki kirinya ga ada bensin sama sekali dan yg sebelah kanan masih bnyk bensinnya
Mohon maaf om, untuk problem seperti ini sy belum pernah mengalami. Ada perbedaan jg tentang pompanya, kalo di saya yg kanan/sejajar driver yg ada pompanya, sedangkan di bmw omnya yg kanan malah yg gak ada. Teorinya sih kanan kiri itu ketinggian bahan bakar sama

@@saefurjpg9407kemungkinannya (bisa betul tp bisa jg salah) jet pump yg ada di ujung percabangan selang bawah sudah rusak/bermasalah. Sy pribadi belum pernah tau bentukan jet pumpnya, dulu pernah diberi tau teman yg bermasalah ketinggian tangkinya. Sumber masalahnya berasal dr bagian itu
@@motoren_works oh that seems pretty simple! Seems like a pretty easy job to do! I was driving home a few weeks ago and suddenly my fuel gauge went from almost full to completely empty. I'm taking it apart and cleaning it first, before spending money on a new sensor, maybe cleaning it will solve the issue. Thanks for the replies!

Honestly, I've never had a problem like this. In my opinion may be the syphon is broken so the fuel can't be transferred from left to right. CMIIW
Doesn't look like they sell the pump side sender w/o the fuel pump.

Yes it does. In my bmw, there are two hole under the seat. Right side fuel pump with fuel level sender and left side only fuel level sender

Gan... di sistem fuel pump saya juga melihat tahanan geser... lalu apa beda fungsi tahanan geser yg ada di fuel level sender.....
Dua2 nya memiliki fungsi yg sama, sebagai sensor ketinggian bahan bakar yg ada di tangki
