I followed you course management tips last season for the first time, plotted each shot out backwards from the green before playing on google earth. Hit mostly 6 iron off the tee instead of driver. Played for the 100m approach. Result; 83, and the best round in years, on what is a very technical, tight course with small greens that have huge breaks. Easy life.

@@GolfSidekick it is kinda weird tho, hitting 6 iron on a 450m par 5, so you dont reach the water that´s on both sides of the fairway with only a 20m gap, then you dont reach the bunkers that come in on both sides, then hitting a 7 iron into the green and having an 8 footer for the birdie. Like golfing by numbers.

The way BDog played the 18th hole is how I play. I am currently working very hard on my short chipping shots. It seems when I practice on the driving range I have 70% success. But when I warm up just before I tee off on Saturday all the demons come back. I have taken this week off and have also listened to Rob Rotella's book on the short game and I have been following his advice on having a set routine and other insights that he shares. In my opinion golf is a metaphor for my life, meaning when I'm fearing difficult situations I let the fear take over. My thoughts on breaking 90 are very simple. You can have a bad shot on almost every hole and still make that bogie if your recovery shot is sensible. But also your tee shot must be sensible so that your bad shot cannot possibly go OB or get wet or lost in the jungle.
That first hole says it all, tee shot that can't get wet. My only modification would of been to play away from that deep bunker. A place where high handicappers can run up a real big number trying to get out.

Okay Matt videos are tight I’ve watched you for what feels like years now. You’ve given Bdog plenty of information now. You should give him until June and have a match loser donates 500$ to charity of the others choice. Nothing like seeing where your game is like putting some hard earned dollars on it. 🍻

This is an ode: oh golf, the sport that brings such delight. A game of skill, with clubs so bright, Out on the course, the greens so green, A peaceful stroll, where one can be serene. With every swing, a hope so grand, to hot that ball, to make it land, In the hole with perfect score, But let’s be real, that’s quite a chore.
