I just made something similar, for anyone wanting to do this mod: For charging, I solderd a lead to the 5v pins on the micro USB port, and mounted a panel mount DC Jack. Switch wise, you can solder a wire to the other buttons so you have volume control, etc. Also, don't solder like this guy did. I'm not even sure that the wires are connected. You can see the wires moving. You can't drip the solder on top, you need to heat up the wire and the pad, and feed solder in so it flows through.
Nice idea but how will you charge the Bluetooth adaptor? Will u open the speaker everything to charge as the Bluetooth adapter used lasts only a couple of hours on battery
The idea in the video is really not bad, I almost made something like that some time ago, but gave up cause paying a bit more for a bluetooth headphone was more worth. Now the wire of my favorite headphone is screwed, and instead of putting another wire im really tempted on trying that, in a different way and with some tweaks
Oh boy, Step one: bad soldering, Step two: hot glue, the world needs hot glue. Duct tape for the wires is absolutly enougth. Step four: the big switch. You need only a microswitch or a foil switch. Step five: the powersupply connector. You need a hole for the USB-Port. The last step: the audio cable on top from the headphones, after your hot glue fixed cable is your Headphone unadjustable for your head size. Your Idea is perfect, genius. A little exercise with your worktools and the results are perfect. Thumbs up.
Very Cool Work. But why don't you just focus on the 3.5mm audio jack part, and make a "BT receiver" that connect to the 3.5mm audio jack on the headphone. This way, you don't need to open and damage your headphone. and you can sell the receiver to other people.
Congratulations on the video. It was very good. my suggestion is that you could have passed the wire through the stem of the handset. but still it was excellent. thank you.
It's a cool idea... But if you buy that reciever on Amazon and take out the AUX cord (if it is removable) and just plug it into the audio port, you get the same effect... and you can recharge it. Alternatively, you could buy good Bluetooth headphones on Amazon for around ~$15 or $20. However, I'm going to redesign this where you can recharge it and maybe change that ugly button.
So you are connecting the line-out of the BT device directly to the speakers? No amplification? For charging open it all up again? Nice video to get you on the way but in no way a good working instruction....
These modules usually have some sort of amplification build in. They can driver average headphones without amp, although this particular receiver looks really crappy and will probably sound quite bad.
If that bluetooth reciever was able to drive the headphones before, there shouldn't be any problem... for a few hours, after that he'll need to charge it
I'm not gonna do this. I have ATH-M40x headphones so I can remove the cord. It's a custom cord though so I'll have to make my own adapter. I just wanted to see how you did it. You could've taken the bluetooth receiver out of its case and added a larger battery.
cool, but the wire you hot glued on top of the headband doesnt look nice.. The button is too big(looked bulky) you should use a smaller button and install it under the speaker.
Hello bro, nice video and respect for your efforts but if possible please add charger port and link to get this Bluetooth device or similar one because there are many results when you search on google. Keep it up bro, cheers !!
to make a charger port is very easy there. We can modify it again connecting the input line of the wireless device through the additional round pin or whatever.. Nice video dude.. I am also making it.. To satisfy our friends u may do what I've mentioned and show them again.. keep it up
Could you please edit the video and show a simple diagram to show the connection of the system on paper. Coz I am new to this and don't really understand the connections. Thanks 👊
For the record don't char the wires to strip them just soften the rubber and snatch them off with your fingertips. Also route the phone wire inside the head band by pulling it thru using something stiff but flexible.
What about the battery? and I dont mean recharging. Those are wired headphones, those were not engineered with energy consumption in mind. I expected a bigger battery module ;)
What an innovative idea. :O But how to charge it ? :\ Are we supposed to make something for this by our own creativeness ? Is that a DIY challenge from you ? o.O Clever man... I appreciate that. 😂
Pretty ambitious - but lots of little process errors - and the big problem: using sound waves to recharge the battery cause you didn't show the install of the usb jack.
i am wondering how your video got so many unlikes its only because you didnt take care of charging your bluetooth device which is going to power the headset. next time please make complete diy video
Instead buy the same Bluetooth receiver with a very small aux cable which comes with the module. And then paste the module on the side flap. In this way it will be convenient to charge and use.
i have thise headphones. i am gonna try and design it better than this... firstly u cant charge it without opening it completely and also that red buttin doesnt really look good.
would have been better if you had a smaller switch . the big red button makes the headphones look like suicide bomb 😂😂😂

R u on vibrating mode when u r using gluegun
Congratulations on the video. It was very good. my suggestion is that you could have passed the wire through the stem of the handset. but still it was excellent. thank you.

Does this really work, I don't think so bcoz once the wire of a earphone or headphone is cut it is ruined.
Would it be possible to make a wired headset with mic that has detachable trrs cable become wireless?
to make a charger port is very easy there. We can modify it again connecting the input line of the wireless device through the additional round pin or whatever.. Nice video dude.. I am also making it.. To satisfy our friends u may do what I've mentioned and show them again.. keep it up
