🔥I've used some commercial Sony Headphones that were wireless but based on FM, so there was a lot of hiss sound. I've made my own homemade Bluetooth based Headphones. Ther don't look as good and the sound quality is not perfect, but they work for me :)

Ah, who cares what they actually look like or perform. In marketing we learned it's all about the 30 min unboxing experience.
Your headphones game in a box? How nice :-)
These kind of videos we want..
Rigth
Yep
Excellent
For weight balance, you can put an extra battery in the empty handset
Great diy, but I think you can profit more of the big case by using bigger speaker to have a better frequency response and less distortion, but anyway great tutorial 👍
Thank you so much for this, i usually dont like long videos but this was totally worth it. You even showed the amplifier as a bonus which is very important to me given my headphones are poor quality, thanks a million bro!
Great work man! Really appreciate the effort you've put in explaining the minute details.
Stock up on MAX97220 for your headphone projects. That's a hifi chip used on most Creative Sound Blaster cards. There are very cheap boards available from China. In fact cheaper than TI DirectPath headphone chips. It has preset 6db gain that can be changed. It doesn't need output capacitors. It generates its own negative supply voltage from positive just with a ceramic capacitor on the board. It has excellent drive current to power low impedance headphones and extended voltage swing to power higher impedance ones, making it very versatile.
Use suitable headphone capsule rather than mini wideband speakers. I have not tested them personally, but i have seen 39mm headphone driver from Monacor International (Europe) and 40mm and 50mm drivers from Peerless by Tymphany, who also have numerous distributors in Europe and USA. The 50mm driver even seems pretty advanced with vented polepiece and paper coated zone, and has great reviews. Designing good sounding headphones is hard and reliant on iteration and intuition and there is no straight up recipe, so good luck!
Very cool DIY BT headphones! Your step-by-step instructions are really good and easy to follow. It makes for a great proof of concept to have a 3D printer. I'll have to pick one up for prototyping my design enclosures.
These kind of videos is what I'm looking for
You dont actually need an amplifier for the original sprakers in the headphones, as long as its not below 16 ohms, i made the same thing , except i put have put it in a small box with a 600mah battery , and a jack for connecting any ear or headphones. Heck even jack to jack with a car amp. Results were great, and it doubles as handsfree calling option.
Why go through all the effort of designing a case to hold everything and then hot glue it all in? You could have taken a few extra minutes to add mounts into the print.
I watch u r all vdo within 20 min
If someone is looking upto making such modification to old headsets, you don't need an external amplifier, connect the speakers directly to the bluetooth receiver module. It gives decent sound, fit in less space and have charging port on board. Nice video though. 👍
Your 3D Printed Model is Far Better and descent than the Commercial Ones ! Bro - keep it Up!
FYI: descent is moving from a high position to a lower position; such as going down a later, a mountain, or similar.
And I agree that it's definitely decent in comparison to many commercial headphones. Unlike many expensive headphones, this one is easy to take apart to fix/modify.
We loved this project so much we featured it in this weeks episode of the Electromaker Show!
You should totally send your Headphones to Rtings for Review.
I Love the Project ❤️
I bet they will Blow other Headphones Out of the water.
Congratulations on the video! I have a question, can I connect two receivers at the same time?
In other words, can I connect to more than one headphone at the same time?
I recently made this but used a old Bluetooth speakers and removed unwanted part of ctk and used an old headphones.. Luckily my laptop have Bluetooth.. Goood video...
i've got lots of ideas for modding my commercial headphones, thanks
Where's the section that explains where to install the banana to the headphone circuitry? Thanks for this tutorial. Will be my next little project.
Great !! I really liked this project
I have been searching thus video for so long
This is cool but I have a question. can you make PCB using all three in one?
Can you make a video about metel detector and explain magnetic coupling
Iam making my own pair of bluetooth headphones as my final project for high school and need some tips how to make them better than these. How to make them sound better . They will have a closed back cover made from wood and will be over-ear.
I'm new to this so, can I actually just use the bluetooth reciever, connect it on the headphone jack then put it inside the headphone? In short, can I do it without the Amplifier board? If I can't, is there any Amplifier board that actually works with the headphones perfectly?
I think these look so awesome. I would buy a pair!
You should use dc-dc isolators in order to avoid ground loop noise. Dont power both amp and bluetooth receiver with same power supply or battery.
exactly what I though about at the beginning during the intro, when I saw the bluetooth receiver and the amplifier.
01:29
or use B0505S, to isolate BT receiver from the amp. This is the pb everybody is facing with DIY BT build + Amp!!
Perso when I saw the intro, I though why to keep the shitty battery of the BT module?? this battery is so small and do not last at all. I know them well. And use another big battery for the Amp?? The pb he is going to face is that BT battery is gona be empty fast, while Amp's battery will still be able to provide jus!! Why struggle with 2 Batts?? 2 bats means 2 charging module, and mean 2 separate indicator (Charging/Charge Completed) !! damn!! Just use a good bat for both module, and use an isolator, B0505S does the job. I am sure you may know about this components...

I've got this one in the mail because of the fully isolated booster(no ground loop) and TI's TPA6132. On paper at least this looks like a winner! www.banggood.com/DC5V-12V-QCC3008-bluetooth-Audio-Module-HiFi-bluetooth-5_0-Receiver-for-APTX-LL-TWS-DIY-Speaker-Amplifier-Home-Theater-p-1741876.html?rmmds=myorder&ID=6295012&cur_warehouse=CN Instead of those inefficient spekears its better to buy new ones(built for headphones) from aliexpress or ebay with 16-32ohm with high sensitivity. The battery will last many times longer. Why build something mediocre when you can build a high fidelity headphone for the same effort and a few dollars more?
@@impuls60 exactly
@@impuls60 lol there is no ground loop because BS0505 is already add to the device! look close under the BT board BS0505 is present.
Please make a video about how to make a home microphone
Wow! Impresionante proyecto, saludos :D
You're my hero dude !
its amazing brother.
can you make a video on how to make USB HEADSET with MIC..?
i would like to see how it works
Me too
Did the same with an old philips shp 1900 but instead of using the parts shown in the vid, i used a $5 bt to 3.5mm receiver from aliexpress and soldered it directly to the drivers
The very concept of 3D printed headphones is very exciting. If open source then many people could cooperate on the design. Perhaps AI generated headphones could be tested in a simulation for audio quality?
It's great! Saudações do Brasil!
Love you from India
Is it possible to male a pair that is smaller than the one you made?
This is very cool , you can print your thing on case..
Make more of these videos pls. And could you tell me how I could build the casing without a 3d printer cause they are really expensive and I can't buy one. Thanks
Try using MDF to build the case. With a jigsaw/bandsaw/table saw/... and maybe a router to make roundover corners.
@@takix2007 Already tried turned very bad haha
Not sure if it's low cost but there are shops which do 3d printing.
@@treeoflife7151 yeah they are super expensive and for a simple project that I need to keep on a low budget....that's not a viable option for me...
@@anonymoususer900 ah i see. Why doesn't using an old headphone's case work?
I was hopping you covert the Sony headphones, I have the same ones and I would like to reuse all the parts rather than 3d print new ones.
what did you do with those headphones ?
I'm making headphones based off of some radio shack wireless remote control extender's (got at a thrift store) which are pyramid shaped, but I'ma also go after the old syfi, style of no headband. And if I have room put some white LED's cause they have a see through purple plastic tip.
Wow impressive 😲👌🏻
You can find DC-DC converters that will give you + and - 12V from +3.3V quite cheaply. They work very well with TPA6120.
No need for this purpose pam8403 will be killer one dam good amplifier...
@@shabukajla3876 Pam8403 is very cheap and easy to run but it is quite low fidelity. For anything hi fi tpa6120 would be a better solution.
@@olbrzym11 but i tested it's frequency response too on oscilloscope which is quite impressive which meens for low power application it works like a charm and on the other hand its easy to use

Can you make a video about making a wireless headset?
I have a question how can I upgrade it to use it with my phone? And does it have different audio or mono ?
It has mono audio, it will works like a normal Bluetooth connection.
@@Grummpyro Bullshit, these boards all support a2dp stereo.
You can just use it with your phone, no change needed. But this is not a very competent or good sounding project.
I am wondering why you didn't use the Bluetooth of your laptop.
Anyways cool 👌 tutorial.
Nice presentation. Question: my current bluetooth adapter makes a very annoying and loud "announcement" tune when plugged in, and then another annoying noise when connected.
Is the BT adapter you presented quiet? A tiny LED is all I want or need when connected. Thanks. I wish that all BT manufacturers would quit making noises when turned on.
Cut the wire to the beeper or put a switch inline
@@AndrewAHayes The "welcome to Altec Lansing" message comes from the BT firmware. So far I have not been able to find a BT device that merely displays an LED. So far all of them "say something" like "connected" or "you are now paired".
or make a loud windows-like musical tune.
Awesome bro 😎
Pls tell what is patreon
Great project
Sir i like your videos very much.
I have a request for you to create
a self runn ing free energy circuit
in an acceptable and easy way.
And give the video. Hope you will
give this video.
did you can use with phone ?
Why dont you use a bluetooth tx with audio profile capabilities instead of an analog input? You are doing D/A- A/D and D/A again. Lots of conversion added noise
how?
@@larrycooper254 maybe this adaptor will work: www.amazon.com/Bluetooth-Adapter-Transmitter-Latency-Headphone/dp/B083TD9VW4. Beside the adaptor you must check that your software bluetooth stack allows you send audio directly
Make a headphone with multiple drivers that separates bass to be played with a big driver and treble with smaller speakers.
Please can you make a bluetooth electric guitar modul to connect with a smartphone an use as app like amplitube
Nice work but i have a doubt when everything had same ground from tp4056 module then there is no interference or disturbance from the Bluetooth module to the amplifier? As i tried it for Bluetooth helmet then i faced same problem... Please do a look into it
Nice video
Stay safe
It is possible ...? to build adruino based unknown smd capacitor value finder ..?
Hi, Nice video like usual :-) I just don't have a 3d printer :-( Maybe one day. But I ordered those cheap earpods from aliexpress a while ago. I was thinking of using those not for a head phone but for 2 bigger BT (TWS) speakers that can stand a few meters appart. So I have old fashioned true stereo. But I never got arround. I was kinda shocked how bad those amplifiers you showed are. Because I was planning of using those single channel audio amplifiers but I realize now they might suck big time. Anyway maybe someday you can do a video about using super cheap earpods to make a True Wireless Stereo speaker set. How far appart can those earpod go anyway? Is that also 10 meter?
Why don't you just use a generic usb Bluetooth dongle? You could connect to any Bluetooth device in Windows. You are converting the audio to analog in the 3.5mm jack, then back to digital in the adapter, and then back again in the headphones. ???
because the author dumb

Sir, will you make a ppt pointer
Just wondering, what if.. the audio transmitter and receiver system use 2.4ghz signal like 'gaming headphones' nowadays.. 🤔
Anyone knows a good small 2.4ghz module for DIY headphones ? I 'd like to try building this sometime
Is this posible just one battery?
You are awesome.
Very cool! How much did they cost in total? @electronoobs
does it have microphone?
Link to the bluetooth transmitter is not working.
RF transmission? Wow I never thought purely analog products were still a thing... It has far greater range than Bluetooth though...
Thanks bro
If the receiver was already meant to plug headphones into it just like that, why do you need an amplifier?
To makevit little punchy I guess..
Upload please, how to make bluetooth air pod.

Am also making one for myself but want to do ground loop isolation for cheep coz am using only one 18650 any advice ??
Man I had a similar issue try using a 20k (believe me it really works or any hissing noise )or more on the input of amplifier this should fix most issues . If not then make sure you have a good vcc. I also had same issues when I was using Bluetooth module with amplifier then I did was use a diode to rectify and use a big really big cap for smoothing like 22000uf . Hope it helps. As as far as ground loop isolator is concerned you can make one by making a 1-1 transformer and the ferrite ring can be taken from a AC filter on smps . Just make sure the impedance is ok , and try to keep the resistance above 100 ohms
Can you do it with Bluetooth module and AT tiny 85 ?!!
Bluetooth module + any small size battery (old Nokia battery are prefect) + TP4056, this combo does the job.
Stuff all that in any PC headphone and u good to go wireless!
@@DrZipZwan
I meant to start from zero
@@عمرمطر-غ5ب I dont see what is the use of ATiny 85 in this build. Do as he did if you wana start from zero expect for the amp part, check if the speaker you are going to use are fine without amp, if no add some small amp.

onestly dude the video is really cool butyou could just take a normal cheap true bluetooth device like a pear of 10 dollar head phones and just added a better speaker to both sides and printed a new case
also there is texture 3d printing you couled have used a leather texture for the cutions and this is just for a video i know but it whould work good.

Next step: Noise Canceling! :D
I like it
Man I have weird trouble using cheap Bluetooth receive from China especially with pc although it works ok with a cell phone , let me address the drama . The module connects with pc , all okay . After some time ,if I play a file to play game , the sound is like glitchy . But if I play a song as soon as the module connects and keep playing it ,the sound is good .I have tried all the device manager tricks nothing works 😒. So I played a sound on VLC and made to to play infinity and reduce the volume to zero . But it is not a good solution of anyone has better solution please give me .
Thanks in advance
Regards Rabindra
Very good project I will try this .
Small suggestion - I think you need to upload your video little bit early , because I think most of your viewers are from India and Asia , 9pm ist will be the great time for you to upload the video , I think more people will watch your video at that time . And the content like this will be shared to most people.
Wow!!!
amazingggg
nice
Using Two batteries when you can simply short the power inputs of amp and Bluetooth modules is Disgusting (Since the BT use very low current). Overall I like the video
'Disgusting' that's a strong word ! Don't comment something that you don't understand!
BT and speaker with the same power supply will create a ground loop and produce nasty interference sound! you either need 2 batteries, or a dc power isolator if using a single battery! These isolators aren't dirt cheap, but they aren't that costly either. If you look closely the circuit he used already had a small battery installed, so he used it rather buying an isolator!
Learn to be humble Son!
@@andrewmanti235 Thanks for the comment, English is my second language, That's why i lack the knowledge of which is rude and which is not. very sorry for that, Now about the ground loop problem, it arises only if the amplifier module and BT module is too far away (using cables to send audio) or when the audio cables or connections are too much exposed(or bare).
Can you please recommend me a word that i can replace for. Thanks again.🙂
@@maheen- You can use "unnecessary, pointless, redundant, extraneous" however redundant, is what suits your point best!
Nah, the ground loop issue is always there, if you do what you told, you are minimizing it, not eliminating it!
