my favorite thing about the m901 (besides getting it for free somehow after finishing the research cause it didn't take any of my SL) is that it says it's stabilized, but it is, in fact, not. also IRL the stryker was able to have 30 degrees of depression when aiming over the side, but gaijin being gaijin said no.
I know what I’m going to say may have little impact on how things work in a video game but here goes. I’m a retired Army Tank Destroyer (MOS 11H) and used the M-901 for a few years. The system was designed to ALWAYS work in a team of 2 or 4 and we engaged alternatively to allow for one to reload as the other engages. We would space them 150-500 meters apart and relocate to alternate firing positions after a couple shots, we’d also use a hide position while one man with binos is observing our field of fire for targets and then called up the 901 to engage. We’d always use artillery fire to engage the enemy tanks first then the A-10’s wou.d chew on them for a few minutes then the M1 Abrams would tear up what was left, we’d often provide covering fire for them or in a retrograde defense in delay to slow the enemy down as we try to clog the main routes with dead enemy tanks to create a choke point.

@@pauld6967 I enjoyed the CAV. Combination mounted and dismounted operations. Strangely I never felt protected riding in any armored vehicle. Big target maybe. I liked getting out whenever I could. Been 35 years gone now. But the smell of diesel fuel and canvas always takes me back.
I use to ride in the fire support variant of this vehicle, it had the same hammerhead but with a targeting system in it, anyway we would paint to black circles on the outside to make it look like a tow launcher to maybe trick the OPFOR into not attacking us.
Spiked a tow OMG😂😂. Operated one in the late 80s and they were terrible. Constant turret hydraulic issues constant problems with the launcher and tow electronics. The m113 half was just awesome. P.O.Junk

thats because its such a rare occurrence to shoot at someone who is stock. Like 90% of the time they have parts and fpe because they're very cheap and you can sometimes unlock both from a single match if you're playing passively or sneaking around.

@@DatBoi_TheGudBIAS 8.0 china vehicles at rank 5 only cost 2.5k rp and i got both parts and FPE from only getting 4 kills with my tank. Also 9.0 leopards have the same cost for parts and FPE. I get like 5k rp per game with like 2-4 kills with tech tree vehicles and 10k+ with a premium tank. So yeah my point still stands it super easy to get parts and FPE and you can do it in 1-2 games you just have to get kills. The only time it becomes harder is when you're playing 10.0+ tanks because you're force to use heat-fs and have to think before you shoot at a BR where if you dont shoot first you lose.
Ey, the German UH helicopter. The only thing keeping me sane after losing my first spawn during a Russian zerg game. Dunking on T-80s with 50s wire-guided never gets old.
Eyyyy. It finally happened. I was in a game with you and didn't even realize. I was that Caernarvon cruising past B on the way to C on Sun City. Was struggling to find enemies; always seemed to be on the wrong side of the battlefield.
You should play the Swingfire since it’s aiming mechanism has been fixed. If depression is what you seek, check out the Swingfire and adjust ground controls to “mouse wheel: for sight distance control”
About the player you helped to repair about 8 minutes in, my guess is they didn’t have the parts modification yet and couldn’t repair themselves, so when you helped them to repair, you were doing the whole repair job.
I would love if warthunder would implement feature that wouldnt allow WW2 tanks play with cold war tanks. Like if 7.0 would be toptier for WW2 that would be just beautiful.

the m901 can also be used against helicopters, since it has sighted guided missiles it's pretty good against them as long as they don't have countermeasures. It can also be used against planes that are slow (less than 900 km/h).
Ahh I miss the m901, I remember when I used to play console I would console lock helicopters and act like and spaa sniping then and getting them pissed off
Phly, what about a super unique challenge... A challenge series based on using a 10sec delay timer. Start with something quite large and then work your way down to the 50kg (100lb), then the Russian 25kg and then the He-51 with its 10kg bombs😆 (or go straight to the tiny bombs)
Other day I got 7 kills back to back in Sinai. Altogether I have over 1000 kills in this thing to like some 800 deaths. I believe I may be one of the chief reasons why this thing costs nearly 10k sl to repair.

For an April Fools prank some year Gaijin ought to enable the minimum range arming distance on all the ATGMs. Without announcing the "fix". The head explosions will be epic.
Wall-E with a missile is a great ATGM. It's sad that they had a second proposal to make the launcher a Quad on a hydraulic carrier, that would not need to lower when the vehicle exceeded 5-Km per hour. but the penny-pinchers in procurement had their way. But still worlds better than the single-shot launcher with the gunner exposed.

I drove a 113 in the Armored Cav in the very early 1980s......it beat walking...but that was the extent of it.

Theres been a decent uptick in lag these days. Ive seen an awful lot of out of region players on the US server, so thats likely why.
